    These glass pipes are very very smooth. They probably would have "unclogged" even without the powder. Because they weren't really clogged. Most pipes in homes at least have dirt stuck to it. But mostly they are rough on the inside from corosion and calcium deposits making.

      You would use at least seven pieces causing you to get at least six to seven indented rings from the inside of the pipe that would immediately stop most of that garbage from going through.
      And most clogs will be in pipes that have had years of calcium buildup, which would add a gritty texture to the interior of the pipe which hopefully green Whatchamacallit would be able to remove.

    Just undo the P-trap. as a Plumber, 90% of slow drains are just in the P-trap. If it's further down, you can use a $25 sink machine from the Homedepot and throw 25Ft in.

  • @606hillbillyracer3
    @606hillbillyracer3 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    If you have a slow draining sink use about a half a box of Baking Soda and a bottle of White Vinegar. Using a 1/4 of the bottle at a time. Wait until it stops foaming between each 1/4. Then let it set until you can no longer hear it bubbling then use your hot water, but before you start the process make sure you've already got your hot water to go. You can use just a little bit of water to get the Baking Soda down the drain before you use the White Vinegar. Let you hot water run for a few minutes after your done. It works great.

    The plumber's snake finally cleared the pipe about 15' down the pipe.

    I tried this because a buddy of mine already had a few packs left over from when he bought this product. I had a tub that wouldn't drain at all. We poured 2 or 3 packs down gave it hours and nothing happened. I eventually got it to drain by doing it the hard way. Luckily this tub didn't have the old switch stopper, so I just removed one screew out of the vent plate loosed the other and went to work with a drain auger. 5 min in the clog was gone and we were back in business. I wouldn't bother with this product unless you feel like it could be a preventative maintenance tool.

    I had a terribly clogged sink that had calcium blockage from over the years. After having opened up the pipes and cleaning them out I realized the blockage was deeper within the pipe system & I also tried a snake & using useless drainos & liquid plumbers I stumbled upon Liquid Lightning by pure chance while looking through all of the drain cleaning liquids. I was taken back by the skull & crossbones & when I read sulfuric acid on the vintage looking, unpretentious, unassuming label I had to give it a try. Once I smelled the egg like sulfur smell & saw the gurgling & smoking I knew I had hit the jackpot. I will never in my life again purchase any other pipe cleaner except Liquid Lightning.

    They use glass pipes because the caustic in the product will melt pvc if it sits there for too long.

      Tristan Calvo Sanitary Sewer does not go to the ocean or any rivers. Sanitary sewer goes to the local water processing plant to be cleaned and put back into the potable water supply.

    The drain pipes in houses have more build up through years that they are not as smooth as a glass surface. That's why you need a snake rooter to scrape away that's been stuck on the pipe walls to unclogged them because they are made of metal. You won't have that problem if your pipes are made of smooth surface glass.

    Let me tell u something..while it works on s-shaped/curved shaped waste pipes, modern apartmens use the screw-trap in their floor drains. And I tell u, u should include in those types of drains as well. Because once these screw-cap type drains get clogged, they are super stubborn to fix..
