Hi, you don't need no sensationalist headlines to hook people to your videos, they're a perfect mix of culture, adventure and passion. I'm planning to visit Turkey. Thank you
I never get tired of Frankie's thump. My aunt lived in Turkey in the 70s and she always raved about it. She loved the people. I also get it about being back on the bike. Until recently I would do a four day ride each way to visit the kids and grandkids a couple of times a year. And every time, even when things didn't go so well, I was super happy the whole time. It feels so good to be solo on the road
This may be one of my favorite journeys you’ve done. Türkiye is such a mix of ancient lands with modern touches here and there. The landscape s so diverse and stunningly beautiful, just like your spirit.

Hello from Turkey. Noraly I wish that your routes will always bring you to healthy, safe and pleasant journeys. My army service was in north east mountains of Turkey. So the routes you used in this video were very familiar to me. The only difference is my experience was not very pleasant because I had to walk on those mountains with 30-40 kg equipment on foot, not on bike. So the views I found painful 20 years ago are looking like very beautiful to me in your videos today. The route you followed today is not accessible in winter time. In winter time those villages, even towns in those area are isolated beacause ice and snow close the roads. And sometimes even main roads between cities can be closed for hours or days. Some villages are not accesible even for months. People in that area live isolated winters. In emergency situations helicopter ambulances reach the area. Or if weather is not suitable for flying snowplough vehicles and snowmobile ambulances reach the villages. Turkey has very different climates in each region. South and west coast has warmer mediterranean climate. But warming effect of the sea is not reaching in central and east Anatolia because our mountains rise parallel to the coast and blocking sea effect like walls. And north east of Turkey which you used in this video is very highland and open to Siberian climate. Winters can be as cold as minus 30-35 degrees celsius. The cities in north east of Turkey are around 1700-1800 meters above the sea level. Turkey is a very highland. Avarage elevation of Turkey is around 1000-1100 meters. So most of the europeans come to Turkey for sea sun sand holidays in coastal resorts. And they are not aware of diverse climates and terrains of Turkey. You make people learn how Turkey really is. Also when it is written EDS on the road it means electronical controlling system is working. It means cameras and sensors are recording you and checking if you are violating any rule. Generally they check wrong turns, speed violations and safety lane violation. So when you see EDS on the road becareful more. Because your GPS and may guide you wrong in one way limitations. I could not get tired of you constantly saying how beautiful the terrain is, because I'm busy saying the same thing! No, it's not just the enforced break from riding. It really is the countryside in Turkey, imo. And I still marvel at the roads that allow you to enjoy the views. Even that rather rough road was in reasonable condition.
“Ah-rah” is a close enough pronunciation. Bayburt is pronounced like “Bye-Burt”; the way Norali pronounces it as “Bay-Burt” sounds like a deliberate word play: “Bay” means “mister” and “bey” means “gentleman” in Turkish.
Yeah. "Bye" (read that in english), and the "burt" part is pronounced exactly how she has been saying it already :) "Ağrı " is a bit tricky, not sure there is any word in English that I can use to give an example for the "ğ" part 😄
Ğ is the most difficult letter for foreigners. It's not a letter but accent actually. You can ignore the letter if you don't want to learn the language.

Hello Noraly, I am not Turkish but I am learning Turkish from a tutor who is from Turkey. I asked my tutor about standard greetings, and specifically 'selam aleykum'. Apparently, saying the whole thing is indicative of being Muslim. However, if a Turkish person says it and it's known they are not Muslim, apparently in some circles its said jokingly. For a foreigner, they will just think either you are Muslim, or you don't know. Therefore, the standard 'Selam' is all you need. Though, I'm sure it's appreciated by those that are Muslim. I yield to any actual Turkish folks as like I said, I'm learning! Thanks as always for sharing your travels!! Edit: I just want to say “cok tesekkurler” to all those who commented as you’ve provided more knowledge than I had before. Your context is much appreciated!! As someone learning Turkish, every little bit helps.
As a Turkish person I can confirm. I even rarely use Selamin Aleykum. Merhaba or Selam are better to greet if you are not a conservative Muslim. Conservative Turks would like this tho but Merhaba or Selam will do the same effect to any Turk.
You're right, I am a Muslim and I avoid saying it to people whom I think might not be Muslims. There are many people in Türkiye who respond to Selamun aleyküm with a Merhaba to emphasize that they are not Muslim. So, while I appreciate anyone who greets me with Allah's greeting (Selamun aleykum), I don't care much if they choose some other word, as long as people greet each other, that's fine.
@@joededimanadedi Türkiye'nin %70'i nasıl bir selamlama yaptığını önemsemez. Sadece belki %20-25'lik bir nüfus için, muhafazakar insanlar için bir fark yaratabilir. That Yamaha 600 seems so casual and under-stressed. Just thumping and whirring along, eating up the miles without a hint of drama. Carburated, Old School - can get it worked on anywhere in the world. I see the wisdom of it. She may well have picked the perfect bike for the kind of riding she does. Says a lot about today, that she had to reach back across decades to find it.
Riding so far in nice road and some dirt in Türkiye is totally different then riding in that MUD BATH every day in Africa! This seem much more fun for her and US
So many of us think the same words. under-stressed, low compression. Perfect bike for what she does. 1 con, modern traffic in the city areas is so slow overheating is more or a worry than running out of petrol. Need a dam good starter motor so u can turn it of a the lights.

Turkey is home to certain regions where farmers grow unusually large cabbages. These giant cabbages are particularly common in the Black Sea region, which is known for its fertile soil and favorable climate for cabbage cultivation. The Trabzon area, for example, has gained attention for producing cabbages that can weigh up to 20 kilograms (44 pounds) or more.

I recently discovered your channel, and welcome to Turkey! We are so glad you came and liked it here. Actually, there are many more places to visit in Malatya, but they might be a bit off your route. However, on your current route, I highly recommend buying karakovan honey and, if possible, trying honey and clotted cream (kaymak) at a restaurant.

Wow... Turkey is amazing... I'll put it in my bucket list of my tourist destination...keep soaring Norally 👍 Nairobi is locked 🇰🇪 🇰🇪
It always impresses me that Noraly is able to find a good room to stay regardless of wherever she is. Such a resourceful and intelligent lady 💕
It is so encouraging to listen to Noraly speak with such positive enthusiasm.
Indeed watching her has changed me. excellent role model. I try to be like Noraly. She has this positive energy that exists with just her mere presence. Very special person. truly a shining light
Be safe Noraly.thank you. Happy Sunday watching from Canada 🇨🇦.
I gotta say, your videos of Turkey have given me a whole different understanding of the country than what i have had in the past.
. . . . . but then, I can say the same about EVERY country you go to!
Wonderful and beautiful, everything was beautiful. Turkey is amazing! Noraly and Frankie, the best travelers ever! Thanks for sharing your journey! Safe travels! ❤❤
🇹🇷 Turkey always been first on my Bucket list of places to visit. I love the Middle eastern countrys there the most beautiful and oldest with so much History from the Bible. Thank u so much Noraley ❤
Noraly...tutti i luoghi,visti da Te,diventano ancor più belli.❤Con pioggia, sole e neve tu vai,sempre!Grazie per ciò che riesci a fare.Ciao
We love your enthusiasm! If that comes with a thousand “So beautiful” exclamations then so be it.
Each video is a unique show where we travel to places that fill life with life, thank you Noraly for taking us on your trips, take care of yourself with Frankie
Don’t speak too soon. She’s barely started. Plenty of time to break down yet 😂
Wise comment, sir.
We could write a whole book about that, extending that philosophy to a wide range of subjects....
@@Brian-qg9bm SAME !
Open skies, deserted roads, soothing music, what a magical combination and the trusted companion Frankie! It all deserves an applause.
Never get tired of you expressing your thoughts on the scenery.
I'm here doing the same. "Oh wow" "That's incredible" and more..
Don't stop!
Noraly, we have missed you probably as much as you have missed riding. Besides, Türkiye has some awesome landscapes, so it’s understandable to repeat how beautiful it is! Other than fuel anxiety and weather anxiety, it was a wonderful day!! BTW…that giant cabbage was really bizarre! And was really happy there was no mud involved!! Cheers from Texas USA❤❤
Noraly is relieved of very long sick leave from her office in the mountains and the wilds.😅
Hi Lucinda, They say everything is bigger in Texas. It appears Turkey has the edge with their cabbage! 😂
@@jasonzerbini2375 🤣🤣Jason you’re right about that!! I’m wondering if you’re in the middle of that winter wonderland the news keeps talking about??
@@lucindavillarreal2676 Lucinda We are east of Pittsburgh which is 2.5 hours south of Erie where they are getting pounded by feet of lake-effect snow. Nothing here!
@@jasonzerbini2375 Oh good!!👌
Nuraly, you are the happiest girl on two wheels. Carry on!
Noraly laughs at everything, but when you've watched the channel for long enough, you learn the subtle difference between a joyful laugh and a nervous laugh...🤣❤
Yes there is definitely a difference! Her facial expressions are also an indicator even if not saying anything. Peace!
Turkey is so beautiful! Don’t apologize for voicing it!
You're always smiling, that's what matters the most, being happy, keep going and show us the world.
Thanks to you and travelers like you, I rediscover the beauties of my country.
This is my favorite TH-cam channel. I continue to learn a lot about different countries and cultures just by watching your videos. Thanks for bringing these moments and the good work you put in. Your calm demeanor and communication skills speak volumes.....👏 👍🏾
Yes, well said. I have been educated on more truth in culture and geography in 5 years vs the previous 55 years I've been alive. I wished I had a teacher like her in school.
Except for the fact that when a bike "shuts down" it usually doesn't mean went on reserve.....expectedly. That speaks volumes.
A was a wise decision not to take on that high pass in appalling weather. You reasoning was intelligent. Please, you are much loved around the world, so for our sakes and your own, always put your safety first. A comment from the South Pacific , New Zealand.
Making good decisions on the day, allows you to ride another day. Great footage. Stay safe Noraly 🇳🇱
Noraly’s dialogue reveals that she truly has her audience within mind as she speaks and shares her thoughts and experiences, and sometimes emotions.
Wow, the landscape is breathtaking & stunning
Thanks for taking us along.
Nuff respect
Bless up 🙏🙏🙏
8:26 White cabbage from Turkiye is really big many types of dishes are made from it one of the famous ones is
Lahana Sarmasi
Kind of a quiet and uneventful ride. Still very beautiful, those mountains of Turkeye... I'm kind of glad you didn't take the road to Iran. Can't wait for the next video. Please be safe, Noraly.
You make us discover new cultures with such positivety and passion! Thank you!❤
Turkey is home to certain regions where farmers grow unusually large cabbages. These giant cabbages are particularly common in the Black Sea region, which is known for its fertile soil and favorable climate for cabbage cultivation. The Trabzon area, for example, has gained attention for producing cabbages that can weigh up to 20 kilograms (44 pounds) or more.
Beautiful country... thank you Noraly
Noraly you are such a balanced person. Your adaptation skills are amazing. I admire your adventurous style and the way you do everything in balance.
remember Noraly to return your petrol tap from reserve and back to on, many of us have had a walk after forgetting to. different bike lid, etc same everlasting smile and enthusiasm thanks as always.
Yes. Ive done that.😂 Very good advise.
Another spectacular tour of this beautiful country by NORALY. So impressed with the history and beauty.
Noraly is the BEST tour guide, YT educator and traveling ambassador! She is well prepared, resourceful and one tough lady!
Noraly videos are informative& pure visual delight
She is the best , makes us see the world from her wonderful journey on her bike across the globe
I hope you never get tired of saying it's beautiful. It is. Every country you go through, it feels like, this has to be the best yet. We really live on a beautiful planet.
Welcome to Turkey Noraly. I first saw your channel when I saw your videos of coming to our country and started following you. I also watch your previous videos. Your sincerity and courage make you different from other vloggers. I really liked your new motorcycle, it is very smart to use such a motorcycle that has been revised according to the needs instead of flashy motorcycles. Turkey is an ancient land, a rich country where many different cultures can be seen layer by layer for thousands of years. I recommend you to go to Göbeklitepe. God bless you, I wish you a good trip
Muchas gracias Noraly, por el paseo de hoy. Mucha suerte valiente!. Ana de Argentina
If you were closer to Bingöl, tasting çebiş meat stew could have been an amazing experience for you. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable drive! If you happen to visit Malatya, I recommend stopping by Darende. If you need help in Turkey just let us know
When you grew up in a flatland. Its always gonna be great to see mountains. But doing it yourself on an old bike is next level. This lady is awesome. Good luck to you Noraly on all your travels. Your smiles brigten my day 😊
Noraly I cannot imagine a situation where I would get sick of anything you say no matter how many times you say it! 😉 I imagine if I were riding where you have been I'd be continually awestruck by the scenery and tracks. Always satisfying, never disappointing. Not taking Tahir Pass.....your wisdom coming through. Glad Frankie's reserve got you though. I imagine you have a 6th sense for how far you can go by now. We don't like fuel anxiety! Thank you kindly for another amazing video and everything provided thus far. Priveledged are we to be able to watch twice a week. Ride Safe! Peace! ❤❤❤
Turkey looks amazing with the range of landscapes
I had no idea how beautiful Turkey is. Thank you, Noraly!
Thanks Noraly for bringing us together with you in this journey

Good morning Noraly! Safe travels and thanks for sharing about a world I may never see. We (internet) live vicariously thru you. Thank you!!
We sure enjoy your laughter and giggles. You are a beautiful person.
Always wonderful. Your joy is infectious...in a very nice way!
Just bingeing on Itchy Boots Turkish delights.😊
I hit the like button before I watch because I know it’s going to be GREAT!
Except that you didn't know that "shut down" means goes on reserve in an expected fashion. Seems weird.....She tends exaggerate in her titles playing the You Tube click game.
That lot in the hotel is the most guarded space you could ever imagine. You've chosen the best place next to bikes and under the spotlight with vigilance cams.
After watching your IRAQ video I appreciate how educated and well-mannered my people are.
Turkey is doing a good job.
Noraly shows us Turkey I’ve never seen before ! tks and good luck in yor journey!
Thank you, Noralay, for taking us on your travels and showing us the world. Your open-mindedness shows us the way to meet people from cultures other than our own. Plus your perfect video productions that you create on the go and alone. You have my utmost respect and thanks!
