The King made this tired house and garden very beautiful again.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to go there and, having owned the book on the garden it was so very lovely to walk around and see how much more he had developed since the book was published. It's a true work of love and beauty

@@castlegate2013-vw9luWell even if this was true, at least the things produced from Highgrove like jams from fruits grown on this estate contributes largely towards charitable causes as well, when sold etc.
Our taxes also pay salaries of MPs in the government who earn quite high salaries and they don't do as much for the environment and charities that the King has done over the years. Also King Charles used his whole navy pension payment to create the Princes Trust, a charity to enable disadvantages young people to be able to do apprenticeships, and courses to better themselves in life.
It would be interesting to see what a president would do, if we no longer had the King as head of state.
Besides monies being donated to charities by produces grown in Highgrove, the monies it brings in also goes towards the upkeep of Highgrove.
In America for example, as ex president receives ongoing payments for life to cover his it her household and domestic costs etc. In England a ex prime minister received a huge pension for life, even if the prime minister did not serve a full term. Liz Truss for example gets a ex prime ministers pension even though she was only a prime minister for less than three months.
The royals work hard in helping to raise monies for charities in various ways.
The King is addressing slimming down the working royals and planning to open up more royal residences to the public certain times of the year, to raise monies to help pay the upkeep if these places.
This will attract more tourists to visit historical buildings like this and others.
Public funds would still go towards the upkeep of all these residences even if the monarchy was done away with and we had a elected president of state. At least with the King, we only have one head if state while he lives, untill he passes away and Prince William takes over.
As a president would receive a large state pension and security possibly, imagine if for let's say twenty years, after the Royal monarchy was done away with in a row we paying towards four ex presidents retirement, and a current one lol. They don't do anything like the King and working royals to contribute towards charities either in a big way like the royal family. So if one thinks it will be cheaper for everyone if the monarchy is done away with, then they are quite mistaken. If anything it will become more expensive for tax payers. We would still also be contributing towards maintaining old historical buildings anyway, like castles and so on, as it's all part of our history as a nation, wether it not royals in name only who are no longer working royals lived in some of these places or not, even if we no longer covered their personal costs and paid duties they won't be doing, maybe only voluntary duties etc.
The Monarchy brings in lots of tourists each year as well, bit just to visit the castles etc, but to actually see the royals traditions, trooping of the colour etc.
I understand where you comming from, but just expressing what the alternatives would be like, if we did not have a royal monarch as head if state and why it would not necessarily be cheaper to do away with the monarchy and become a republic.

His Majesty King Charles III was way ahead of his time when it came to horticulture and agriculture.
Many British people have no idea of how much he invested in their health and well-being.
And many people in other countries have also benefitted by his support of natural ways to fertilize their farmlands.

I personally love the gardens, the layout of the colours ideas. My mother used to say greenery things which are green and grow in flower. It’s a sight for sore eyes. Most people live in a concrete jungle and don’t appreciate the green, but she’s so good for our eyes when I walk my dog and we have brought a roll of trees or a little wood. It is much cooler it’s nice it’s beautiful we should appreciate what we have. Should appreciate We should appreciate the creation and look after it cherish it. Thank you

I have been saving this gem video for last, to devote my undivided attention to!!
Thank you for providing the information and beautiful sights and landscapes in this scenic view of King Charles' estate.
Charles is right, it takes a long time for regrowth, after damage or cutting down of trees to regrow.
It's plain to see that Charles is one with nature!
I bet that Charles wouldn't mind camping out in any of the yards on his property, in a commercial tent, and he wouldn't mind the sounds of the outdoors at night, as he lays snug in his sleeping bag!
But he might need to call Camilla on his cell phone from time to time, for her to bring him a snack when he is hungry!
And Charles is not the only one who "talks" to plants.
I talked to flowers when I was 8 years old, and they actually "talked" back!
But I think that my experience was very different than Charles's.
I really believe that I met with God, or maybe my guardian angel, because the tiny little flower moved back and forth by itself, like it was politely "answering" me!
And there was no wind or breeze, it was only the one little flower moving by itself, while the other tiny flowers around it were perfectly still!
I asked questions to this tiny flower that was
growing from the ground under the Willow tree, (as only a child would do), and the flower gently moved back and forth, as if it was saying, "yes".
When we are children, anything is possible, especially since children believe, and naturally have faith.
I like the scenes of Charles, when he was still a Prince, wearing the hunter green shirt, and also at 12:30, when Charles and William are posing together, and at 14:47, when Charles, William, and Harry are posing together, when the boys were teenagers.
This video is VERY impressive, with alot of valuable information, and I will save it in my TH-cam collection of cherished videos.
Dear King Charles, thank you for cooperating with the Fashion company, to allow your lovely home at HighGrove to be filmed, and studied, and generously shared with all of us!
I will return to watch this video many times over!
And I will have to pretend that I am visiting at HighGrove, if only in my dreams. 🧚
    I love you King Charles🤴

The gardens are absolutely spectacular, and you can tell how much love the king has put in them. He needn’t have worried to much about the publication of the Housekeeper’s Diary. If anything, it shows Diana to be the worse person in the marriage and as a parent, and it also proves how deluded Harold is when he called his father ‘cold’. What rot. Yah he didn’t ’love bomb’ like Diana did, but he was also a very kind and loving father… and clearly pretty patient considering how much trouble Harold has caused over the years.

I loved every part of this tour. Highgrove has been a place I've wanted to visit for decades. It's more beautiful than I ever imagined. Since it's still open now that Prince Charles is King. I will find a tour and enjoy this beautiful estate. God Bless King Charles

Charles III “ the gardener King” I remember seeing this farm on television and magazines in 1981 when he and Diana were just married. It has gone through a beautiful transformation in 44 yrs under the King.

These robotically narrated videos are more than annoying, not to mention the erroneous content. Two minutes into this video and already he has misidentified the Duke of Sussex as Duke of Essex; and, also omitted that Clarence House is HM's primary residence in London. Photographs are beautiful, even if clipped from other videos.

I have always enjoyed and have been fascinated with the stumpery. Only seeing it on videos and not yet in person.

Duke of Essex? The Princess Royal had Gatcombe park prior to HM King Charles III buying Highgrove House. Beautiful gardens. Thank you for sharing with us. The fire was when? HM The King has kept some traditional crafts alive.
