I wouldn't mind just casual conversation since y'all already have chemistry together. Topic can include any recent stories you want to tell maybe some stories of the past, any recent news stories, any recent shows, movies, or even games. I would say just talk like y'all normally talk
Bring Rob, Chris, Dodongo and probably bring the guys that make memorable game chasers quote in the podcast, like that 'whats wrong with this guy' guys, 'im a floating head' guys, 'hit the gym' guys (a.k.a Gaming Historian),etc...
Podcast talking about starting a podcast, and I liked every minute! Definitely doesn’t need to be 100% video game related , but just y’all just BS-ing together is all we want
Thing about podcassts compared to an actual show, is you'll only likely watch one where you feel you'd actually like to hang out with the people doing it. that's why this really works :D
I cant say you guys got me into collecting but you guys were the first youtubers i watched when i did start getting into collecting. I sidnt know about anyone else, and if i did watch another channel it would only be because you had them on your show. Been a fan for a very long time. Keep these type of videos coming.
Either in a humorous or serious tone, you guys being genuine is the best part of your videos. No fake bs or trying to talk to the audience like they're children. Just grown men speaking their minds on all things nostalgic. Cheers.
I started buying games as a kid as soon as I could earn some money rolling newspapers in a neighbor's garage as a 10 year old for $5 a day, and I've continued collecting games since. It's a weird thing how it changes over the years. In the '90s, maybe early 2000s, I'dve called myself a collector, but now, I don't really know. I don't sell my stuff, and I do play it. I stopped trying to get everything when it meant I'd have to buy Sesame Street games to finish my NES set, and started focusing more on just what I want to play. However, new questions keep popping up. What to do with sealed games I was saving to open for a special occasion? I never anticipated that sealed Turbografx games would have the value they do now... but I didn't buy them for the value, I bought them with the intent to play. I still don't know if I regret popping open sealed 3DO games with my brother a few years back... yeah, I lost a lot of value, but we sure had fun playing brand new copies of games like Immercenary and Mazer, and I think the jokes about mailing in the old comment cards to EA's current address were a great time. Should I have sold them to someone who would've prized them, replaced them with used copies, and pocketed the difference instead? How much did the fun of ripping off the wrap add, and smelling the plastic fresh from the '90s? Can I quantify it? By the same token, when I get a small print run PS4 or Switch game, I open it. I know sealed is more valuable, but I look at it like '80s and early '90s baseball cards- what made the old cards so valuable was that no one foresaw a collector's market, so very few people took extremely good care of those 1950 Mickey Mantles. Sealed games from the '80s or early '90s, same deal. No one was thinking about art or collecting markets. They were games, only slightly different from toys, so the condition wasn't such a consideration. Sure, maybe on 1500 copies of a game are printed, but 1400 are staying sealed. It'll never be as rare as finding a sealed Stanley in Search of Dr Livingston on NES, or even a used Neo Geo game. So, I don't treat them with a particular reverence. I don't know if I'll ever sell or not. I have a lot. Cool stuff, unique stuff, and fun stuff. I never expected it to be valuable enough to pay off my house and then some, but here we are, and I'm not hurting for the cash, so I don't have to make that call right now. Still, the questions are there. Keep it? Play it? Sell it? How long will it last before degrading? How much time do I have to spend repairing things? At the heart of it, I just like to play and share time with friends, but these things intrude on that, and that is what affects me as a collector.
The problem with collecting is that it's a good thing that often goes bad because we don't understand what we really want. What does owning 500+ NES games have to do with reconnecting with gaming memories from our childhoods that meant something to us? Nothing at all. I see so many collectors go through selling/buying cycles, and I suspect it's because deep down we know that at some point we overdid it. Then, when we realize that, we start selling everything off.. including some of the games that actually mean something and should have been kept. Then we confuse our regret of selling the few meaningful titles as a regret of getting rid of any of it, and start buying everything back. And so the cycle goes on: sell off, buy back, sell off, buy back, etc. Good podcast guys, and it's good to see Melvor again. 👍
I'd listen to you guys sit there and talk for two hours twice a week easily. I'm genuinely excited to see more of this in the future. Hope to see more of it!
A Game Chasers podcast is something I will literally be more into than even the regular hunting episodes. It has been tough losing the CUPodcast. I would love to have y’all take a whack at it!
Living in the UK, it's feels near impossible to find anything that isn't at the expected or inflated price. Watching you guys, Pixel Squad, others, it gives me that satisfaction of finding something cool, rare or cheap (or all three) even though it's not me. Massively jealous, but still in awe.
Ikr. UK sucks for finds. Especially after COVID. All my old spots have evaporated or shut down. Everyone has an ebay in their pocket. Charity shops lump it all online for inflated prices.
@pyrastanjord4353 a nearby auction house had some great condition SNES games the other week, and I got outbidded massively. 3 days later they're all up on ebay for about £100 more.
YES! This is like those bits in Game Chasers episodes when you guys start talking about something random during interviews and I always loved that. Keep it coming!
been watching you guys for years now since the first Game Chasers episode. Any topics regarding the current state of the video game industry, behind the scenes stories, funny stories outside of the gaming topic, or even any personal topics regarding your personal lives, if you guys are willing to go that far. Either or i'll be watching most definitely!
On this episode of Nostalgia Chasers..... This is a good video. I like watching stuff like this. I went to an antique store last weekend and spent 2 hours walking around. I was up for whatever. There were a few booths that actually had newer stuff and I bought a Comic-Con exclusive NECA alien glow in the dark figure. But I was looking for anything nostalgic.
I completely agree with you guys on collecting. I narrowed down my collection. I love finding rare games in the wild and I resell to make extra money. So, now I have the best of both worlds. I still get the thrill of the hunt, while still have a small collection of games I actually want to play.
I like the format of the "the way game chasing goes" i liked tmnt memories, maybe work in lists. Etc. I think people like to hear your stories just growing up. Gaming memories people find they can relate to and feel like they are remembering with friends. Maybe blockbuster stories. Things like funny things that may have happened while game chasing behind the scenes. Whatever. I think people will listen to about anything. Game chasing, toy chasing, star wars talk, etc
What keeps me from watching/listening to a lot pf podcasts is that I have to commit to like an hour or more. I'd love to see more shorter hangouts done whenever you feel like you have something to talk about.
Im 32, not a collector at all. Shoot im broke. Reason why i always watched you guys is you all made me feel like i was in my childhood again. With my older cousind saying and doing dumb funny stuff. Brings me right back to good times.
I want this. You bois cutting it up is good with me. The KEY idea about the Game Chasers I like is all of your personalities are actually unique. You will have playful banter and not afraid to disagree it keeps opinions from getting stale like ALOT of pods.
Be awesome to see the whole gang appear on this podcasts... dodongo..8bit eric...alpha everyone that has been part of your journey... cant wait for more.
Sounds good! Hope you do these hangout chats regularly, would be good. For myself, im sure id like most the topics you'd chat about, games, films, toys, Melvor i know has knowledge there, and you all know and collect films i think. Jay and his arcades and behind scenes with running exhibitions.. Just general sitting around chat is all good to listen when im just on my own chilling out 👌
So excited this is coming together! I’ve been waiting. Some cool topics to hear your thoughts on: Just childhood 80s experiences including staple things like Pizza Hut, going to the movies, going to the video store for a game and a movie to play and watch with friends at sleepovers Seasonal nostalgic toys Maybe your thoughts on the new Zelda tears for the kingdom game if more than one of you have been playing Other child hood experiences compared to the things kid’s experience today If you could only keep one console and 5 games, what would they be More nostalgic toy conversations Can’t wait for the 1st official episode. I’ve been watching you fellas for years. Not just game chasing episodes but love the back in my day series with the mr wizard stuff and snoopy snow cone maker thing
Your 12+ years game chasing is the content and topics I’d like to hear about. This is why wrestling podcasts are money, their experience is the content. This was fantastic and looked really professional with the cuts to speaker, kinda like sitting with the producers after an episode of a popular show. Keep it up guys. 👍🏻
I watch a lot of gaming videos, I come across you guys every once in a while in my algorithm. I watch sometimes. This was the most enjoyable to watch, especially in the background. It was just good discussion and not a build up, or a "get". Good job guys, looking forward to seeing this grow. Glad you and PixelPlus are doing this, there's not many podcasts in the video game world.
I'm in need for a CU podcast replacement. My favorite people on TH-cam talking about random crap. Sounds good. I'm sure it's difficult to get together, set up and shoot. Maybe you could shoot a long video once a week or once every two weeks and break it up to multiple videos so you can have a few out every week to keep the algorithm happy and keep us checking in. Just a suggestion I'm sure you've already considered, thanks for listening.
Sometimes it’s all about the journey not the destination. I stopped collecting a long time ago, but I still do game runs with my friends because it’s fun hanging out with them. Great work with this. I’ve always loved your content keep up the excellent work.
I like the topics covered here. Anytime i go through collecting fatigue, I stop and try to play the games more. When prices skyrocket or theres no time to go hunting. I try to be appreciative of what I have. That tends to help me
Good on rob for lighting a fire 🔥 under your asses! 😂 yeah a podcast would work for you guys especially people like me that have been watching you since the early days would listen. I know it’s harder to find stuff these days so something like a podcast and things like top 5 Friday/ Sunday is good 👍
Wow! The question I was wondering the entire time as Jay was talking about how he no longer has certain collections…. Then Jay drops the bomb the last 10 seconds of the episode… “ He no longer has his N64 Collection” 😮😮😮😮
You guys had a major impact on my life. I used to be big video game collector and watching your episodes woke me up. I was spending vasts amount of money on games, large amounts of time finding them, and watching your show I began to ask why. These games were free to play and all I was doing was hording them. I was honestly scared that I was becoming AlphaOmegaSin and that wasn't the kind of human being I wanted to become. I still remember the day I woke up and realized I didn't have to do this anymore and that I could just watch you guys do it and enjoy from afar. I began to downsize and put that money and effort towards other hobbies and it was the best thing I have ever done. I owe you guys more than I can thank you for. Keep being awesome.
I am in the same boat as you being a hoarder of games. I can play all these game one way or another if i want to. I just dont feel like filling up my home with "useless" stuff anymore. And i say useless as in that i dont need them.
Topic for next talk: how conventions and Retropalooza have changed and how it became a business initiative for Jay
Life long fan here...appreciate you guys
i see melvor and i stayed for the whole thing
All Legends
Melvor is fervor
I enjoy his personality too!
Melvor rules, he always have good and cool topics
Yeah Melvor is like a powerful magician and I must watch his exploits
I wouldn't mind just casual conversation since y'all already have chemistry together. Topic can include any recent stories you want to tell maybe some stories of the past, any recent news stories, any recent shows, movies, or even games.

I didn't know I wanted this, but yes, this is exactly what I need in my life! I would love to see more podcast style videos from you guys!
You got it!
I enjoyed this alot.. can't wait for the next one
Awesome. Hope to see more and the building back up
This small 20 min conversation is better than 99% of crap on TH-cam. Love you guys, Thanks for the content!
😎
Exactly
because this is the great old youtube. not that reaction shit now a days. Original content.
Podcast talking about starting a podcast, and I liked every minute! Definitely doesn’t need to be 100% video game related , but just y’all just BS-ing together is all we want
Great to yal together again. Really enjoyed
The game chasers pid would be great I would listen every episode
I've been watching you guys for almost 10 years . Hard to believe time went by so fast. Stay the way you are , everyone loves you guys.
Jay is on the channel in something that’s not a main episode?? Miracles do happen!
Thing about podcassts compared to an actual show, is you'll only likely watch one where you feel you'd actually like to hang out with the people doing it.
that's why this really works :D
same here, its just like "i dont care, i just want what i wanna play"
Please do a podcast. I would 100 percent listen to it every week
I love these videos and miss them, miss having melvor around with the guys and can’t thank y’all enough for this
This was great. Hope this becomes a regular thing.
Really Enjoyed this Style of Discussion. Keep it Going.
Thanks for doing it!
Great to hear your thoughts!!!! We have been here from the beginning and will be here until you decide to power off (I hope that is never btw).
Melbor as interviewer. Perfect fit. There is great content here guys

Your guy’s podcast immediately jumped to the top of my weekly queue, can’t wait for more. 🎉
More to come!

Talk about how Retropolza came about. Love hearing you guy’s stories.
This is a good idea and also feel a little clips of going to your best of classic video games you found and do live stream to
If you do a show like this/podcast, i will watch it every time.
Definitely excited for y’all to do a podcast!!!
A Game Chasers podcast is something I will literally be more into than even the regular hunting episodes. It has been tough losing the CUPodcast. I would love to have y’all take a whack at it!
CU Podcast is awesome. Hopefully we can help!
I'm a bit out of it apparently, I stopped following the CU Podcast a while back, but I didn't realize it stopped. What happened?
@@Riceking10 Pat dgaf about games anymore. Ian as well. Ian doesn't work at a game store anymore and rarely plays anything but pinball now.

Real talk. More family stories. More behind the scenes stories. More Dodongo. More Melvor.
I would totally watch you guys talk

I thought the 80s backdrop was CGI 😂
We need to send Melvor another shirt.

Finally this is a great idea. Talk about current topics and collecting. Doesn’t have to be all about games too
I love this and I didn't know I would love this. Not too big of a fan of podcasts but I will watch yours for sure. Lets do this!
So excited this is coming together! I’ve been waiting. Some cool topics to hear your thoughts on:
Just childhood 80s experiences including staple things like Pizza Hut, going to the movies, going to the video store for a game and a movie to play and watch with friends at sleepovers
Seasonal nostalgic toys
Maybe your thoughts on the new Zelda tears for the kingdom game if more than one of you have been playing
Other child hood experiences compared to the things kid’s experience today
If you could only keep one console and 5 games, what would they be
More nostalgic toy conversations
Can’t wait for the 1st official episode. I’ve been watching you fellas for years. Not just game chasing episodes but love the back in my day series with the mr wizard stuff and snoopy snow cone maker thing
We need to do more of that old stuff again!
Melvor been wearing the same shirt since season 1
I like the idea, I will certainly watch it. Would be very helpful leading up to Retropalooza to hear what is planned.
Feels like i'm in the midst of the boys, great stuff guys!
Melvor asked the the question we all wanted to know.
props for innovating and trying something new....digging it...been watching you guys from the beginning
Good to see Melvor back. Good idea for a show like this, hopefully it sticks around.
