i don't know about anywhere else but where i live wal-mart asset protection is done by wal-mart. It is a position like any other (stocker, cashier, etc.)
Bo Biscuit man I stress on that too. I started by memorizing all the streets and what directions they run on my normal routes of travel and that made me feel a lot more confident. Also establishing roads that point north, south etc and using them for reference point so you always know your compass. It helped me out a lot
next video should be about street racers, they guys who got away and the fastest people youve pulled over and the fastest someone has went and you let them off with a warning
Basil Akasheh same spot probably 67/60 but you have to be a real jerk for no reason or have something else going on. otherwise 40/35. Guy was anti authority and tried to tell me how radar works and how he didn't do that speed. Talked himself into it. If your driving history is decent and haven't been an ass you usually get a warning from me.
I love your channel. You provide so much useful information. I would love to see a video about older people becoming police officers. I'm 45 and I'm about to start a career in law enforcement. Thank you so much I appreciate all that you do.
Drake just to warn you. I work for a sheriffs office. The sheriff is a political job and remember he only stays in if voted in. Many decisions about how things operate are dictated by the election. In my dept, all the deputies were told I be “very selective” of who you give a ticket to, which means, don’t piss off a republican voter that resides in that county. It’s all bullshit that deputies can’t do their jobs sometimes becuase they are worried about voting
Bkang 017 I do have a question which one should a join my state police which is in Mississippi my sheriffs department or the police departments in my area
Hey officer401! As a video maybe you could a "cop watches Southland" type.video where you watch and critic how the show executes police work. Also keep it up!!! You're awesome!
Hey officer401 i'm currently at the Pat Thomas Academy. BRC 459 graduates June 7. I just want to let you k now how much you have been so inspiring to me. ALL of your videos has played a true factor on the leading success of choice of becoming a law enforcement officer. Continue to drop your amazing videos and keep informing and inspiring people like myself to go after dreams that seemed so far-fetched and now for me 3 weeks away. I had no one in my family or friends that could share information to help move forward or fall back. Thank you brother. Talk later.
Hey that's the Durham Police Department in Durham NC! I don't live to far from there. Probably about 40-45 minutes. Anyways, love the videos man! I've been thinking about law enforcement for quite some time now and I think I'm ready to start applying thanks to you!
You should do a video about the first days/weeks that you started to ride by yourself. I just got done with my PPO period and riding by myself now, I was nervous the first couple of days lol.
Hey officer401, just wanted to let you know about two good microphones. The first one is the Blue Snowball. The second one is the Yeti also made by Blue if I am not mistaken. There are plenty of reviews and videos about both of those microphones on TH-cam. They are both under $100-$120 dollars. Nice video and keep up the great work!
Lincoln 18 I would recommend that you do not buy a yeti, I’m a Best Buy employee part time and it’s one of the most frequently returned items we get. Just a heads up.
ive never seen a video where you explain how a arrest goes down at the scene of a fire, car wreck involving drunk driver, etc that involves other agencies like the fire department, ambulance, etc I think a video or two about that stuff would be great
I really like my local PD. I interned with them, and witnessed that they treat people with respect and they all really do a great job. Another plus is that they all seem to get along. I am not a fan of toxic workplaces, as I have dealt with that too much in the past.
I know it has been a long time since you have done a car vlog but I think personally this is a good idea. Maybe you could hop in your daily car and go for a ride and film it and tell us what you see as a cop, or what you notice about people driving or other things that regular civilians probably wouldn’t notice like “hey that guy didn’t have a seat belt on, was eating a monster burrito and texting while going 3 mph over the speed limit” when we just see some dude driving by. Hopefully this helps for an idea or maybe I’m just rambling 😂😅
Educational as always. Got an idea. How about telling us about use of physical force? Like when is it okay to punch a suspect or kick him or you know, something other than just wrestling him or her on the ground?
You should do a video on national police week. Also working relationships between departments would be awesome. Thanks so much for the channel. Also different types of agency leadership the good and the bad. Take care and keep being awesome!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
A video about the daily routine of a patrol officer would be cool. Sort of like you did for detective, but more in depth since its an 'entry' level position.
Amen on assuming that burden of the department! I’ve heard of officers from big cities having issues latter transferring to small departments because of the reputation.
I love officer 401 i inspire to become a police officer here in london and hope to bring my experience to US Law enforcement when i move there hopefully
Next VID idea: SWAT equipment vs regular officer equipment, SWAT day to day (how being a swat officer differs from being a regular beat cop in the day 2 day), Top SWAT stories...
Great info! A video idea could be to talk about police corruption. I’ve personally had the question in police interviews before. They say “Your in a gas station with your Sgt and you see him sneak a candy bar. What would you do? (Your a rookie)” Thanks for all the good videos
I can't help but to resonate with you. I am also in the IT field but I also wanted to join law enforcement. I'm pursuing an IT degree from Texas A&M. I think that's why I love this channel and have a similar way of seeing the world like you. Keep up the good work sir. I've followed your channel for about a year now and hope to watch many more of your videos.
I talked to one of my friends in the sheriffs department in cape May Court House nj he said it’s the best how ever you don’t get paid as much as a class 2 because you don’t do as much as a class 2 but everything you can have for your future is there for you
You should do a video for like about an explorer program for law enforcement etc, and a video of what department do you like better? State Trooper, Police Department, Sheriff's department what's the better jursidiction and so on?

Yet, another great video! Thank you for that last, but very important piece of advice about a department’s reputation and perception from the public. I fully didn’t even think about it like that. Keep up the great vids!
I learned this the hard way. My local pd is so corrupt it's sad. I had a personal attack conducted by officers that i delt with back as a kid that hate me and guess who got the short end of the stick.... Yupp me.
Thanks for such good, informative video. I would also include to your viewers to choose their Department wisely. I made the mistake of signing on with the first Department that took an interest in me, and it turned out to be a mistake / bad fit. Now I have to disclose that bad fit each time I apply at a new Department. In some cases I spend more time talking about the bad fit, then getting an opportunity to promote myself as a good fit for the new Department which seems to be keeping me from getting hired.
Officer 401. I would like to say...you're awesome & cool. I love your TH-cam videos especially the cops vs firefighters 😅. Keep doing what you are doing. I'm interested in law enforcement myself since I was seven years old. Right now I'm studying for the P.O.S.T exam right now. Great tips on police work. It makes me what to expect an everything else in the field of policing. 👍✌.
I’m so happy. I live next to a nice size town with a great police department. There have been no scandals or police brutality incidents and it is the highest paying town in my county.
I'd like to see a video about what officers go through emotionally after they've had to shoot a suspect, and what departments do (or should do) to assist them. I've heard too many stories in recent years about guys thrown under the bus.
I love your vids. Could you talk about pulling over tractor trailers and weigh stations. Just got my cdl and would like to learn some stuff from your side of things.
Hey 401! Great content as always! I had a question about the difference between a Sheriff’s “Office” and a Sheriff’s “Department.” Is there a difference between the two terms when referring to a Sheriff’s Police Agency??? Or are they mean more or less the same thing? I’ve noticed that most southern states refer to it as a Sheriff’s Office, while other states, such as California, refer to it as a Sheriff’s Department. What’s the deal?
Officer 401, do university police departments! Good video topic plus it’s different from regular police departments! -someone who works at an university police department.
How about a video about advice for wives/husbands/gfs/bfs/ or whoever dealing with the stresses of the job. How to deal with a pissed off, sad, bummed, or withdrawn partner. After 17 and a half years my wife has dealt with just about everything I have dealt with. Stupid calls, asshole bosses, dead babies, you name it. This job takes a toll on everyone at home, not just us, as you know. Oh and maybe a vid about telling cops not to internalize stuff and the blow up at the ones at home who love them/.
Hey 401, can you do a video about times you've had medical emergencies or if you have ever had to do something crazy like deliver a baby on the side of the road or something
I left bama traffic stop for officer401

Real Police Talk lol
My local Wal-Mart employs a security company made up of current officers. So basically there's always a cop at Wal-Mart.
Thank you officer 401, your insight on the life of a police officer is truly inspiring.
Headed to the Academy for my County’s PD in October! So excited to begin my journey in Law Enforcement.

Any new updates after your offer with Mesa PD?

I clicked on this video because the thumbnail you had a picture of Durham Police Department, My hometown. Which is awesome.
Should do a short video on how police officers are trained to use there equipment while driving and why they can use them while driving.

Did you get into law enforcement?
Amazing video! Could you do a video of what a cop can and can’t afford? Like financial stability as a cop? Thank you
Let’s not forget Corrections. We need good people as well

Do a video on navigating through streets and best way to learn a city
Make a stereotypes video with state patrol/highway patrol, sheriffs, and local police.
You should make a video of things to buy and learn before entering the academy. Things that will make the academy less stressful :)
Make a video about the camera and microphone equipment you like and what you're looking to get in the future.
Video on how to properly apply a tourniquet and what kind you carry
Do a video on the first fight/struggle you got into on your own as an officer.
