Joe is spot on about Erikson. It's actually not even close. He's been the best midfielder in the last 4 games. Kobbie hasn't been poor but he hasn't been at his best.
Mainoo hasn't had a single good game this season. If anyone else had out in his performances, then they would get criticised. He has the privilege of being young and English so he gets away with it but he hasn't been better than Eriksen.

He gets to play and put in average, at best, performances and get praised for it when anyone else would get criticised. He was average last season, too. He was below average in pretty much every stat. The only thing where he was towards the top of the leagues was take-ons. Other than that, he just passed sideways and back, so he was bottom 10% for progressive passed. He should be out on loan getting real experience rather than playing in the premier league and being overhyped for every mid performance. My issue is when people pretend he has been one of our best players when there isn't a single shred of statistical evidence that points to that. We will never get anywhere if we rate players based on feelings rather than facts. Hopefully, one day, he is the great player that everyone is pretending that he is already. At the moment, he isn't, though.
He did relatively well last season amongst the basketball chaos that the midfield had to endure last season under EtH. Even this season, he is winning the ball a ridiculous amount, if you see the no. of interceptions won, because of the strain the midfield gets put under. As you mention stats below, as of Sept 27. he is top 3 u21 in the top 5 leagues this season for interceptions, forward passes, tackles won, fouls won, passes, offensive duels, most def actions, most fwd passes. As of Sept 16, he made the most interceptions across all 5 top leagues at any age. He is doing more than fine, considering the circumstances. He is doing very good defensively, just needs to give more re passing. Considering two of Eriksen's games have been against Barnsley & Twente, I wouldn't really get carried away about Eriksen being better.

Or another option is even Mount instead of Bruno, he’ll play better with Ugarte and Mainoo than putting him in a team with Bruno

Thats a pretty anecdotal take. Most people knew chelsea would click at some point they bought so much talent and were in a streak last season then fired poch. Slot at Liverpool bought 1 players in the summer in chiesa and has the same squad that was 1st for 70% of last season not sure how thats an improvement. As for forest they have done better than expected but if you look at the league there is always a midtable team or 2 that overperforms. Fulham and wolves did it last year and they bought well the past 2 summers.

Rio went, Scholes gone, Giggs went part time player coach, This team with the amount of good players who are all under 27 which is usually a players prime 2 or 3 years, bodes very well, If ETH fails, and another manager who can play winning football using who we have and will get backed with more players in key positions and our best young players will still only be 21-24, still not at their prime.

Sorry Jay, I agree with you more than I would like but Amad has been highly ineffective so far this season so have to side with Joe on this one. I went to United v Rangers pre season in Edinburgh amd thouroughly enjoyed Amads performance, expecting a great season from him. So far though I have been dissapointed, I like his cut ins, I like his ability to dribble but it hasn't been enough. There has been no end product, no goals, no assists(might be wrong and cant be arsed checking) and overall he isn't good enough. Drop him and play Garnacho(ETH doesnt like him but he should swallow his pride) and Rashford with Hojlund in a front three, drop Bruno for Zirksee or Eriksen. Alternitively we could play a different system(I have some ideas but it would take too many paragraphs) but it's unlikely as ETH seems crazy and does the same things 199 times over and over. I want Rashford, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Amad. Perfectly balanced amount of passing skill and scoring skill. Hojlund just needs service and since last year we have added 2 players that can player really well with a forward like him.
I agree with most but am concerned zirkzee can play 10. He may be able to make the passes offensively but pressing and tackling and interceptions and tracking back is part of the role for 10 as well.
Jay said that he loves Bruno Fernández and therefore thinks that the manager is going to pick him,there we go that's the problem because you shouldn't be picking players because you love them,you only start your in form players regardless of their age or relationship with you.once a manager loses his ability to make those calls it's over for him.

Thats a pretty anecdotal take. Most people knew chelsea would click at some point they bought so much talent and were in a streak last season then fired poch. Slot at Liverpool bought 1 players in the summer in chiesa and has the same squad that was 1st for 70% of last season not sure how thats an improvement. As for forest they have done better than expected but if you look at the league there is always a midtable team or 2 that overperforms. Fulham and wolves did it last year and they bought well the past 2 summers.

To be fair, we are seeing glimpses of "what could be" this season in regard to the brand of football, but too few and far between for my taste. Also, results aren’t improving. You cannot look at the truth straight in the face and call it a lie. Give him at least till December. If the team is still playing inconsistent football, we have to realize that inconsistency is the only consistency with this manager and this squad.

Sorry Jay, I agree with you more than I would like but Amad has been highly ineffective so far this season so have to side with Joe on this one.
I went to United v Rangers pre season in Edinburgh amd thouroughly enjoyed Amads performance, expecting a great season from him. So far though I have been dissapointed, I like his cut ins, I like his ability to dribble but it hasn't been enough.
There has been no end product, no goals, no assists(might be wrong and cant be arsed checking) and overall he isn't good enough.
Drop him and play Garnacho(ETH doesnt like him but he should swallow his pride) and Rashford with Hojlund in a front three, drop Bruno for Zirksee or Eriksen.
Alternitively we could play a different system(I have some ideas but it would take too many paragraphs) but it's unlikely as ETH seems crazy and does the same things 199 times over and over.

Slot is winning with the exact team plus chiesa that klopp led the league with for most of last year… As for chelsea in the past 2 years they have doubled what everyone else has spent and were winning the second half of the season last year and still fired their manager. The point is both liverpool and chelsea have much better and deeper squads than we do. Thats not my opinion thats a fact. Their players can all play that style and they are consistently productive on the pitch. We are 1 injury away from it all falling apart and have no depth. Not an apple to apple comparison at all… Whether it was ten hag or the previous managers we have only had any sort of competent front office people for less than 6 months… berrada and ashford got here in june or july?

Every team we've played so far this season have been 'beatable'. That includes Liverpool who you would hope would suffer a period of transition under new manager, yet no. We continue to fail to step up. We continue to under perform. We continue to disappoint. A win over Spurs will only delay the inevitable. ETH has spent a fortune, there are better performing teams in the EPL with newer managers. He is not the right man for the job.
