  • 𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐪! Though our trip took place just before Covid halted travel around the world, we were privileged to be able to experience this unique part of the world. We realize that choosing to visit the Middle East may seem like a crazy idea to many people, but to us, it's become a normal way of life. And why not? When you know that it's God's heart to go - and He opens the doors with one big YES - it would be more foolish to stay home.
The region of Iraq is spoken of frequently in the Bible. Abraham began his life here before God gave him other plans; Jonah was called to preach repentance to the people of Ninevah, today's modern-day Mosul; and Daniel was sent into exile into this region where he found wisdom and favor from God for himself and his people. Those are some big footsteps to follow!
Though our time was brief, we did what God called us to do. We prayed with and for the people of the Middle East. We had God set-ups in the most unusual places. Our hearts expanded to see as He sees, and love as He loves.
We pray this video highlighting our time in Iraq will encourage you to draw closer to the heart of God. Be blessed!

    • @InspiringFaithInternational

@@abduladansharif9548 I find your comment intriguing. In the Bible, people often would bless each other.
God's promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 spoke of the blessing we can give. God spoke to him and said, "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you." If you don't believe we can bless each other with our words, do you feel the same way about the curses of our mouths? I think that's a great question!
When Abraham and his wife Sarah wanted to find a wife for their son Isaac, God directed their attention to a young woman named Rebekah, who agreed to be Isaac's wife. Her family spoke a blessing over her and sent her out (Genesis 24:60).
The blessing of a father was highly prized. Isaac's two sons, Esau and Jacob, had tremendous conflict when Jacob stole his brother's blessing of the father through deceit (Genesis 27:35).
One of the greatest blessings that can ever be spoken is the blessing God commanded to be given over His people: "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
What happens through this blessing is remarkable: "So they shall put My Name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them." Wow!
Jesus blessed children who came to Him (Mark 10:16), and taught His followers to bless those who curse you (Luke 6:28). As a follower of Jesus, I choose to do as He says.
Thank you for your thought-provoking reply!

When asked what were the most important commands, He said, "You shall love the LORD your God will all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Does this sound religious to you? Jesus gives the highest honor to God and honor to others. I choose to follow His advice! 😊💕

Probably a video title with "Three days in the autonomous region of Kurdistan" would be more accurate.
