In India is rare to find an hotel or mall without a metal detector and scanner at their entrance. After the terrorist attack (Taj Mahal Palace- one of the most notorious Palace turned into a luxury hotel in Mumbai as an example) its probably a mandatory safety feature you will see across the country.
Thanks for commenting...I'm sure that's true at many places... but of the 12 resorts I tes drove in Inida, this was the only one w a metal detector. I get security is a concern, but wonder if they could be more subtle about it
The far from city resorts you previously Visited usually avoids the checking in order to avoid any sort of inconvenience to the guests, other than those sort of resorts mostly all high end resorts which are heavily populated has a security check.
Really loved your videos and felt great that someone made a pointed out those plastic bottles (the point about sustainability), most hotels and resorts in India have a plastic bottle system, but due to the high criticism they are applying a more sustainable method.
I’ve stayed at both the Alila Diwa and the Diwa Club in high season and both are quiet. Scanners at reception are quite common in India. The hotel used to offer a beach club but most guests preferred to go to the local shacks to get a real experience and not just a resort feel.
