One thing i absolutely admire about your experiences and appreciate you for is the fact that you make sure to get a proper sunrise in each of your hotel reviews which portrays an immaculate morning vibe. It's so underrated what you do because the easy thing would be to just lay back and snooze a little while longer while in the comfort of those well kept rooms and under the linen but the morning views are absolutely stunning. Thanks man. ✌🏽🇮🇳
It's very satisfying when dual vanities have their own mirrors, so you're able to take a square-on shot of them, rather than having to duck out of the way of being reflected.
VERY impressed by this resort…different, special and original. It gave me a sci-fi vibe with the almost moon like landscape helped by the ominous sky preceding the storm. Thank you for reviewing this place. If I were ever to visit Oman again, I would choose this over the Al Bustan. Just because it’s so different 💫🙏🏼
Beautiful architecture and I also love its grandeur , at the same time seemingly understated elegance in the Desert - I so wish we had something like this in our own Desert in OZ- I’ve been to Salalah and thought we were on Mars it was so hot -great review as always.
Very nice! No problem with individual pet peeves, but baguettes are at the heart of the heritage of the French toast recipe, "pain perdu". I for one love it. Will you consider visiting the Alila K L at some point?
Отель необычен это только добавляет ему шарма. Номер на конец то был превосходен и понравился вам. Из такого не хочется уходить. Сколько там приятного.. Рада за вас Кевин!
What a lovely resort and a great companion to Alila jabal Akhdar. Hopefully I can stay at both soon. Hinu Bay looks very unique but perhaps a little threadbare with the foliage.
One request for you to consider -- can you please do a Speedtest of the internet and show results. Many would benefit from the data when making choices on where to stay while still being able to mind things at work.
Some angles it does look rather “unfinished” as you said, but I feel like that is the point of this resort. It looks like a really nice getaway from complete modernity, and that vast openness of “nothingness” (if you could call it) is really unique. Another great upload, thanks!
Another great review! Thank you Kevin. The only downside I see with Oman is the airline ticket. The prices are not that of a main hub. But its a unique destination.
Great review and video Kevin as it is always the case with you. The property seems great for the price however I am not sold in the location. I actually had considered a stay before and your video confirmed that. the surrounding area is not that special Plenty of more scenic places (either beach, desert or a mix) in the Middle East that are a lot easier to get to.
Thanks Kevin for an another dose of sumptuous traveling. Oman is an underwhelmingly underrated country. I reckon Oman is better than more popular gulf states such as the UAE or Qatar if you want to truly immerse yourself into the Middle Eastern culture. Nonetheless, Alila resort looks amazing despite being located in the middle of barren desolate desert. But sometimes it is better to get off the beaten track right?
I must be getting old & senile...I thought Kevin was doing another video in Japan before this one. 😕 No prob, I'll just sit back and enjoy another of Kevin's reviews. Onya champ. 👍 😊
Beautiful bungalow. I could spend the entire day sitting by the attached pool watching the ocean. However, I have a question. What trickery did you use to not show yourself on the bathroom mirror while filming directly across from it? 😅 And thanks for the Saturday uploads. They make my Saturday morning flights a little less miserable. 😊
Thanks for another upload, going to enjoy it with some beer and snacks. Cheers Kevin!
Choose a good one!

I always try!
The landscape gives me the 'Logan's Run" heebie jeebies vibe...but I love the rooms.
I came to write the same. A dystopic atmosphere.
I can see that... but still enjoyed the vibe.
Another wonderful review beautifully filmed. Thank you Kevin.
Thanks for watching 🩴
I think Kevin might be a time traveller. And this is the first resort on Mars, 250 years from now. No?
Something like that, yes lol
Loved you description of the ice cream! The resort does look a bit ‘raw’. Breakfast looked great.
Thanks for watching 🩴

If you knew the position I had to stand in to be invisible, you'd be rolling on the floor laughing lol
Very impressive! Like the rest of your Oman videos - after watching I have the strong urge to travel there. 😊 Thank you!!
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Consistently fantastic and informative. And damn, that iPhone shines in this video. Thanks Kevin! :)
Thanks very much 🙏🏻

Yeah, I'm actually trying to fit the other Alila (near Muscat) into my plans next year- it also looks stunning!
Always until the end!
Thanks very much 🙏🏻
Loved the music with this one! This room would have been very cosy, sitting out the cyclone, with lashing rain and wind all around you 🪟 😊
Certainly was!

I've been there, not doing a video on it but there was a mini review on my community page about it a few months back.

Sure, bare is right- but almost refreshingly so. Can’t wait to try out the Jamal Akhdar location.
Thanks for inspiring! 🎉🌴🇴🇲

I am always impressed you have many languages for your cc!
I'm always surprised more channels don't do the same! It's very easy lol
Beautiful Resort, Definitely on my list to visit.
Hope you make it!
@@tfft Thanks!
Thanks for the info + video!

Would love if you did a review of the Conrad in Koh Samui!
I'd love for it not to be $800 per night 😂
Great video, and I really enjoy the minimalist, “barren” landscaping. It makes sense given the location, but it’s also clever visually.
Thanks for watching 🩴

That's one thing that I only mention specifically when it's especially poor. Speeds vary so widely, a single snapshot likely wouldn't be accurate.
I loved this review
Thanks very much 🙏🏻

Yup, that nothingness is actually what I loved about it. Well, nothingness with a gorgeous pool villa in the middle of it lol
Last time I was in Salala we went to a buffet called _Oh Man, I Am Stuffed_ which we all agreed was a clever name for a buffet
😉
Very lux for sure 🎉.
Sure is!
Beets out of fashion! Me too!!! 😊
Would rather just eat some dirt lol.

Very much so!
Lovely Kevin! Looks beautiful again somewhere I'd never go (unless they throw out some of their archaic laws).

Might have said that... All videos from the past 6 weeks were uploaded 6 weeks ago, and I changed some things around after the fact.
Thank You ✈️

Great place, thanks

Lovely resort to stroll around, does the resort provide sunscreen or should we carry some extra?
No idea, but I'd never rely on a resort for sunscreen. Thanks for watching 🩴
Just my 2 cents, if you add a longer focus diary on the food, pretty sure will bring more viewers. Cause lots of us can't afford hotel food.
The food is the most skipped part generally 😉 haha
So is there no way to close off the tub and shower area in inclement weather?
The shower is completely closed off.
Long time no see bestie

So, is this place in the middle of nowhere? Are there attractions and places to visit nearby?
Pretty much nowhere lol.
You do a remarkable job with your photography… I have yet to even see a reflection of you. Part vampire?
No, I'm just the guy that pattented the invisibility cloak.
Beautiful bungalow. I could spend the entire day sitting by the attached pool watching the ocean. However, I have a question. What trickery did you use to not show yourself on the bathroom mirror while filming directly across from it? 😅

Standing sideways and an incredlbly steady hand lol.
The rate paid was cheap! I guess its because of Lowseason?
And the deal I mentioned.
Why did they build such a nice hotel in the middle of nowhere?
Your middle of nowhere is someone else's dream destination ;)
what's with the sudden beet hatred, bro
Who said it was sudden? It started with a roasted beet and goat cheese appetizer in 2009 lol.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☀❤
