    #Satisfactory is an FPS open-world factory building sim by #CoffeeStain Studios. You play as an engineer on an alien planet as part of the ‘Save The Day’ program - a program whose goal is to construct a massive machine for a mysterious purpose. Conquer nature, build multi-story factories, and automate to satisfaction! In this videos we show off all the #GameDev tools we use to bring Satisfactory to life.

    I love the transparency you all show. Every aspect of your company makes it seem like you are one of us. Not a company, but friends that are comfortable enough to open the doors and share your love of craft. Seriously, for anyone that has aspirations of getting into gaming, you have really done a service to rep every person that makes this possible. To life the curtain and show behind the scenes is reassuring in a way. This stuff is not easy. For anyone that has tried and quit out of frustration, the energy you all radiate through your videos serves as a means to double down and not give up. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hands down the penultimate group of people across the board and at every level. Jace and Snut have single-handedly built an empire!

    Releasing such a build of the game on the next 1st April would be actually very funny!

      Everybody want procedural maps, so they should give the sprint version with procedural maps and call it Satisfactory 2.0 Beta. Just made a little menu when you open the game before and then directly early-dev build!!
      I already imagine the news from the 1st April: "Everybody ask us for a new map or a procedural maps, so we decide to start working on working on the 2.0 version with procedural maps and Wind Turbine!! You can now download a beta version of Satisfactory 2.0 here. If the review is good enough, we may stop working on 1.0 and skip directly to the 2.0 version of the game. (A simple link to download a exe for installing the game.)"
      This would be really funny!!
      For the release you can just show few screenshots from different maps generated who look okay, doesn't show any conveyors or anything because it would be too obvious that it is a sprint version...

    • @sertaki
      @sertaki 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fireztonez-teamepixcraft3993 And if they do that, people will start being so loud in wanting procedural maps, they will have to actually make some XD

    • @fireztonez-teamepixcraft3993
      @fireztonez-teamepixcraft3993 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sertaki this would be nice I agree, but I don't think it this will ever happen. At least directly by CSS. Who knows, one day a mod to make procedural maps may be developed. There already have some mods who change the world map, but always for something really simple now (Mostly void world). Nothing make it impossible to create a procedural map mod.

    At minute 37: there's actually nothing that seems missing!
    The game is really really great already and it's just insane how far you guys already got it!
    The only thing i think really needs to be done is bug fixing and some QoL improvements cuz especially in update 5 i think there are some weirdnesses with the conveyor placement like with the lifts and when snapping conveyors into a curve without using the scrollbar to turn it.
    And then there's just the rest of the storyline that needs to be done but tbh......the game is already so great that i think you have all the time in the world to finish it!

    Nice video lol, I kept thinking it was trying to push me a old vide when I saw first year but I get it now lol.
    It's got me thinking though of a feature idea, some kind of alarm \ monitoring system, quite simple, like a conveyor splitter or something which can count how many items go through it, this could all be tied to a status board you could build which either showed you all stats of had say a red of green light.
    We could make a control \ monitoring room for out builds where we could easily check things are running correctly.
    This could be expanded to include some kind of warning or alarm system if said monitor went under a certain threshold, say your Nuclear Waste stops moving or your Coal input stops!

    When it comes to quality of life features, you're really doing an amazing job! It's that kinda work not all game devs have the creativity for
    Also I really wonder what happened to gold, and why it got named caterium. I wonder if there's lore reasons...
    And yeah, with temporary assets, I often wondered if the AI-Limiter is a placeholder for something differently looking later on.
    Oh and I guess the change from traditional rails to monorails was mostly so it can clip with the terrain better. I wish it didn't have a flat bottom though, so it looks more structurally sound when placed mid-air, or over ground bumps
