  • hey guys! We've been loving our deck lights (string lights) so Scott is going to share how he installed them on our open deck, which enhanced our outdoor living space! We also have a remote dimmer which we love, because the lights were a little too bright for us - we wanted a relaxed cozy vibe. 😉 Hope this helps you out and you can get some tips on how you can put them up at your house. Let us know if you have thoughts/questions in the comment section below!

Wow! I love it! It has to be very enjoyable to sit out there and enjoy those lights! Tell your husband he did a great job and that he's the only one that notices the imperfections!!!

How's the 2x2 holding up feel like a big wind storm could really move the 2x2 and lights like crazy no?

+RaptorsNation4x Hi there! It’s actually been perfectly fine. And we do have some wind, sometimes our furniture will move around, flags will blow off the poles, etc. But our 2x2 posts & lights have been steady! The 2x2’s are bent in a little bit from the weight of the lights, so we may turn them around soon but other than that - perfect set up! Thanks for your comment! Have a good weekend :)

@@LivingGratefully thanks for the response!! Here in ontario in the winters we get bad storms so we went with 1/2 inch 10 foot galvanized poles and spray painted them black it worked wonders if you ever need a replacement for the 2 by 2s! The wood is definitely way more affordable thats for sure lol!

Yay! Thanks for your response too and for the tip on the galvanized poles! We sure have enjoyed our lights and I know y’all will get so much enjoyment from your set up as well!! We turn ours on/off/dimmer with a remote. But our friends use a timer and have them on for 4 hrs every night. It calls you outside 😉
