I just love it when jimmy announced he's super rich now. Everyone was all "whaaaat?!"😮. And jimmy was like "no big whoop"

"Let them rebel, it does not matter. In the end they will kneel."
Zod is gonna be ruthless, I can't wait
KNEEL, BEFORE ZOD
Although that might be Zod, I think Darkseid's behind all this ultimately. The Krypton beyond the portal looks a lot like Apocalypse, suggesting Darkseid took over and remade it in his image. 'Omega' is a word associated with Darkseid. It's the symbol on his outfit too. The Kryptonian who attacked years ago was dubbed 'Omega Nemesis'. The alien tech-derived weapon Lane carries is called an Omega Cannon. The red solar radiation-like field that disables Clark's powers is called an Omega Field. All of it points to Darkseid. Maybe the armoured Kryptonians are parademons, who are being cybernetically controlled. The horned one could be a Brainiac-affiliated version of Steppenwolf, who may be a robot. His neck connects in a way that makes it clear he's not just a humanoid wearing armour. There's no space for a humanoid neck. Perhaps Darkseid's empire is more technological in this world, which fits the trend of tech villains. The shadowed figure with glowing eyes behind all the villains in the series' intro could be Darkseid.

I thought so, but why did the green crystal (Kryptonite) affect the red crystal?
That red crystal possibly being Red Kryptonite?

Oh no, none at alllll. It’ll be great for the story though 😂😂 I have hope that, with as good as this show is, they wont waste brainiac.
Jimmy casually making bank while the drama goes down 😂
The grind never stops
😂
This episode took an emotional toll on Lois: seeing clark almost die from Kryptonite, finding out her father is the general trying to kill Clark, seeing Clark's emotional struggle to finding out that he has evil variants, Clark nearly sacrifices himself to send the ship back through the portal, etc.
The fact that Jimmy asked for the yams after casually stating he's rich lmao
So Zod and Brainiac are gonna be the villains for season 2. Which means they're probably saving Lex for season 3, or maybe he'll at least be introduced in season 2. Or I guess Zod and Brainiac could be teased throughout season 2, with Lex being the primary antagonist, and then they'll invade in season 3. A lot of potential for this show, hopefully it gets to continue.
I’m not so sure he’s zod nemesis omega wears the house of el crest and zod would never resort to wearing the house of el crest cause of his immense hatred of the el’s I think nemesis omega is an original character for the series so it’ll be interested to see more of him in season 2

Everyone is saying that the Kryptonian warrior at the end is either Zod or an original character. But I think it might actually be Kru-El, Jor-El’s cousin who was one of many Kryptonians imprisoned in the phantom zone. The reason I think this is because the warrior is wearing the signet of House of El. Which is something Zod would never do because of how much he hates the Els
He isn't wearing the house of El symbol tho. Is the "s" shape not just a diamond
@@talentlessartist7929 Yeah, that's pretty clearly the House of Zod in the show's style.
Maybe Zod is related to the Els, like how the Earth One graphic Novels and Krypton have him as Clark's evil uncle?
@@scifiguy9000 I hope they do that, too. Make the personal conflict that much more difficult.
@@SapphireCrusader1988 And here's another that might 'icing on the cake':
An idea that Zod is Kara's father, making it personal for her too.
I love this version of Lois. She's so much smarter which is way more appropriate for someone who writes award winning articles of investigative journalism. There is NO way *that* Lois went the whole time not knowing who Superman was until he confesses to her. Also agree with everyone else that Jimmy is finally getting the love he deserves.
I’ve been back and forth on the general’s voice acting, but that choke up when he said he was trying to protect Lois was top tier! ✨✅✨
Love that he did the whole Batman disappearing act. That was cool.
Plus, I wonder if next season, he'll meet the other versions of Lois and reaffirm his distrust of Superman.
You know what would be kind of a cool concept?
A council of Supermen who get together to fight back against the council of Lois’ because they keep going into different universes killing different Supermen because of their disdain towards him
I am glad Jimmy is super successful for once ON TOP of being a good representation. This show is really good.
What good representation?
Good representation how? Jimmy historically has been a Superman fanboy. In this series, he's an equal to lots Lois and Superman.
So good representation of what? The typical Jimmy Olsen in the comics? Or a population of humans that you think needs to be seen in media even if it bastardizes his character?
Doesnt matter what their skill colour is, if they are a good character they are a good character, if they're not they're not.
Representation? Lol, he has been always a good representation of American young man before they changed his skin colour. Idk what you meant by "good representation".
@@Thehardtruth69 I do not understand this comment at all. He's a Superman fanboy in the comics and he was a Superman fanboy here too. Hell, in the comics, he's known as "Superman's Pal", and he's Superman's pal in the show too. What's the "bastardization of his character" that you speak of?
You wanna talk "bastardization"? Look at how Zack Snyder killed him off in Batman V Superman. But this show isn't it.
I guess some random TH-camr with angry clickbait videos told you some shit about "woke SJWs" or whatever and now you pretend to care about Jimmy Olsen. I can only hope that you'll genuinely care eventually and outgrow these bad influences on your life. Because life is too short to waste it being mad about fictional characters.
Then comes the moment that really tests Sam's strength of character and his role as a parent. He has a chance to carry out his orders to terminate Superman, and Lois stands in his way. You can see the issues that Lois still has with her dad, and you can see that Sam does care for his daughter despite his hard exterior. So, Lois gives her dad a choice, and Sam chooses to let Superman go, for the sake of his daughter. While this choice makes the relationship between Sam and Lois more complicated, it does show the possibility that their relationship will improve. It's also mind-boggling that Jimmy got rich by selling flamebird to the Daily Planet. We got confirmation of Brainiac and possibly Zod with the "kneel" line. However, because of the events of this episode, these actual alien threats are now aware of Earth, and will inevitably go there. Can't wait for season 2.
I do wish that Sam had trotted out the tired old "I'm just making the hard choices and doing what has to be done to protect the Earth" line, and Lois had challenged that by telling him that if that's the case, he won't have a problem shooting her to get to Clark. That would have really challenged his convictions.
I have more sympathy for Sam in this scene than I have for Lois. Sam was once a very fun-loving, rules-breaking soldier who sounded a lot like Lois herself... before a kryptonian-led attack saw all his friends and comrades save one perish. And while Lois had some issues, he's lived for twenty years with the knowledge that there's this same force out there, and that whatever Earth has come up with thus far wouldn't be nearly enough. It's a crushing weight he bears constantly, and that makes him sympathetic.
And Lois' choice is nothing but emotional nightmare. "If you care about me at all". Really? SHE doesn't care about HIM at all, SHE doesn't trust him AT ALL. But HE's supposed to bow to HER whim?
Besides, he had Superman dead to rights for a good half-minute and still didn't shoot. Did Lois even bother to notice his long and pained hesitation? I doubt it.
@@Ares99999Well, I can imagine why she doesn’t really trust him, what with the whole thing about him lying about her mother’s health until it was too late.
@@Ares99999 Yeah, no. Sam might have good motivations and a complex story arc, but he tortured a young man - barely more than a boy - for days, all the while knowing that doing so was just inflicting pointless harm on an innocent person.

@@docula9153Go home Klan Boi.
I don’t often watch Superman cartoons, but this series really grew on me. This show’s Superman, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen are my Favorites.
Lois in this show doesn’t just beat every other Lois Lane depiction in terms of her relationship with Clark, she has managed to shoot her way to the top of pretty much every list of superhero love interests _period_
She’s better than every single MJ we’ve ever seen.
She’s better than most versions of Gwen Stacy.
She’s easily better than any love interest Batman has ever had.(including that time he had a fling with a different Lois Lane)
I could go on and on, but I think you see the point I’m getting at here.
This depiction of Lois is so unlike these other characters(again, including other versions of herself) that honestly there’s a part of me that’s kind of frustrated that they didn’t just fully commit to making her a completely new character who _isn’t_ Lois Lane… because from now on I’m going to have to specify “Lois from My Adventures With Superman” any time I want to talk about how this show handled romance versus other DC/superhero shows.
Just say tomboy Lois.
@@Lewa500 that only works as long as there aren't other Lois's with short hair, plus what if she grows her hair out in season 2?

I've seen some pretty damn good Mary Janes. DUnno if they'd absolutely blow this Lois out of the water, but they could certainly give her a run for her money.
Also, Chat exists, and she was a really damn good love interest.
also, if you like spiderman stuff, I'd recommend Spiderman: Darkest Hours
Written by Jim Butcher, the MJ in it is damn good.
@@Chaosdragon240 Unpopular opinion; Sam Raimi's Mary Jane is second only to Paul era Mary Jane in how _shitty_ she is.
Like holy crap, I just rewatched the whole series and she almost ruins _all_ of the movies with her whoring around... She's lucky everything else in the movie carries her depiction because she's actually kind of a piece of shit in those.
That said, I refuse to let one version of the character, from an era in movie history where _every_ female love interest was acting like that, ruin my view of MJ forever.
Like you said, there are some amazing MJ's that really give "Tomboy Lois"
(still a stupid name, but I guess that's what we're going with) a run for her money.
Hell, MJ in Spectacular is straight up one of the best MJs and she isn't even dating Peter in that show.
That said, I still think this version of Lois Lane slightly beats all the current on-screen depictions of Mary Jane.
Maybe MJ in Spider-Verse could give her a run for her money, but she doesn't even speak until the second movie, and that was basically a cameo... We'll have to wait until we see more of Peter B.
For the record, usually the ranking goes Gwen > MJ > Lois... so for Lois to be sitting on top rn is pretty impressive.
2:35 guess we have our Zod now
2:01
And our brainiac
@@ozmasterofmasks5838Then Superman need friends to help.
“I’m super rich now. Pass the yams, please.” That’s my boy. 🤑
I like how Jimmy was “I just became a millionaire, no biggy.” XD
All I'm saying is that Jimmy woulda made ten times that money if he sold it to Wayne Ent.
When I first saw the General in the early episodes, I knew right away that he was Lois' father. Same genes and the same traits with suspicion and conscious. 😎
Something to remember about Brainiac is that (in most reboots) he was designed by Jor-El on Krypton and either used Krypton's destruction to go rogue or at least had a part in it. I wouldn't surprise me if Brainiac is using Zod (if that is Zod) to spread his brand of "order".
If he cares about "order" at all and not doing his usual schtick of collecting civilizations like snow globes
The General does care about Lois,so that means The General might become an ally in the future seasons,I do hope that The General and Amanda Waller find out that General Zod and Brainiac were the ones who attacked them in season 2 or something.
I do hope Lois's father will be A BETTER FATHER FROM NOW ON!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡
Doubt Waller will care. People like her don't really care about saving lives, they care about control. And Clark is an element she can't control so she'll try to off him at any opportunity
he has been a good father to lois. she just uses her "I hate liars." cliche to not see her father just tries to protect her from what he's doing and she's seen that first hand with CLARK lois feels the need to know everything about everyone her own judgement clouds her from seeing other's perspective on what it means to lie to protect someone
Funny how Sam thinks Superman is the monster when Waller is the Devil
Jimmy just casually dropping that he’s a multi-millionaire after helping stop an alien invasion is hilarious and a perfect capper before that ending tease.
Who wants to bet that after Superman barely fights off Brainiac and Zod's invasion, it gives him the reason to form the Justice League in order to fight off future threats?
I be down to see Clark meet Bruce at around the same age.
I think it would be fun to see more heroes but unless they plan to make more DC shows in this continuity I'm not sure. They would take focus away from Clark's main group
I lovee how he is just superchill after announcing that.
"In the end they will kneel" This line screams Zod, but that's another robot...
At this point, that Kryptonian could be called Neal and he's the bad guy of season 2 BEFORE ZOD is introduced in season 3 and I would still be happy with this entire project
0:15 This reminds me of The Fox and the Hound when Copper stands in the way of his master: Amos Slade's aim to protect his childhood friend: Tod. God bless friends! 😎🙏😇

Interestingly, when i read the credits, "Zod" is voiced by a female voice actor, which suggest this "Zod" is actually Kara aka Supergirl.
That’s an AMAZING iteration tbh especially since she is usually cold hearted compared to Clark
So this Zod might actually be family? That's an interesting twist
Maybe it's Faora.
The answer may actually have already been revealed in some leaked character design sheets from the show that have been posted on reddit for some time now. I won't go into spoilers, but the information on these pages so far have been completely accurate, so I expect the rest to be too.
It gonna be lar- el, Clark morher
I can't believe Brainiac doesn't look like his comic book version, well he is an extraterrestrial and a robot like Ultron, and Brainiac is voiced by Michael Emerson, who voiced the Joker in Batman The Dark Knight Returns animated movie.
Boy that’s going to be an awkward story for the grandson
Jon: Grandpa, what happened when you met Daddy?
Sam: Well, I tortured him and tried to kill him because I thought he was a threat
There was an awkward pause
Jon: This is why I never got named after you isn’t it?
Sam: I assume so
That scene when Lois standing in front of her father, to protect Superman from being shot by her dad. reminded me of the scene in Fox and the Hound when Copper standing in front of Amos Slade, to protect Todd from being shot by Slade. They both felt the same to me, the feel of it, the love, to protect someone u love even if it from someone u love.
it's incredible how a series that changed so much the characters in the series from the outside is also the one that has been more loyal to the core of the characters, down to the comic-books.
The direction of this series is beyond incredible. It brought a new air to the series while keeping intact everything that made superman a great series.
In my opinion, this has been by far the best superman adaptation since Superman the animated series.
Definitely, my opinion regarding DC and Marvel has stayed adamant and unchanged:
While Marvel's Cinematic universe is far superior to the ones of DC, DC's animated universe is far superior than of Marvel's. DC really knows how to bring a new, fresh life to old series. Let's just hope they don't cancel it.
This show makes Superman so weak. Superman is a TANK. Superman inherently has all of his powers by the time he's an adult going to Metropolis. The show heavily restricts and limits his powers for plot convenience.
Loyal to the comic book? Yes and no. The race-swap and changing of some characters (Mxyzptlk e.g) is definitely not loyal to the comic books. But the core template that defines each character is loyal.
A League of Lois should not be able to defeat any version of Superman. Good or Evil. It doesn't make sense. If Batman couldn't stop a evil Superman, a bunch of Lois can't either. But I'll give them this one, this Superman wasn't on guard. But an evil Superman should 100% kill the League of Lois. Evil supes doesn't hold back.
The show is turning into a Lois Supes slice of life, love soap opera indicated by the writers rushing their relationship. Every episode has always been about their relationship. There's never a break from it. The audience is always reminded about Lois/Supes subtly or directly.
They make Superman clumsy. Clark is the disguise, Clark is clumsy. Kal-El, Superman is never clumsy.
I like the show, but it has its ups and downs.
@@cybzer0560
"batman couldn't stop an evil superman"
Didn't he at the end of Injustice? well, technically with another superman, but still managed to stop him.
But still, I agree with most of what you say, and I like this version of superman, because this superman is more human than superman.
To put it in a way, normally, Clark kent is the secret identity of superman, but in this series, Superman is the secret identity of Clark Kent, that's why he has more imperfections.
Loyal to the core, but still some differences that makes it fresh.
Regarding Lois Lane, I think as another reviewer said, it's called "my adventures with superman" for a reason, because it seems like the focus on the show is actually Lois Lane rather than superman, and I like that focus.
The formula of dumbing down or nerfing some characters to make other shines isn't all a bad thing IMO, like Harley Quinn does, making every super a either a jerk or an idiot, because in any other way, it would be way more difficult to by sympathetic towards Harley.
@@ClaudioProductionsX Bats did, and there's plenty of scenarios where Batman beat Superman, and vice versa. I was just setting up a example. Cause if Bats is struggling to beat Superman, League of Lois is really struggling to beat Supes.
I've heard that too, that the show is from Lois's POV. I never really put any thought to it. Sort of just ignored it because I see Superman in the title and that's my instant focus. It's interesting, that does explain it.
The nerfs. I just have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes it's whatever, I get it, all the hero shows/movies back then and now had nerfs, obviously. Other times it's just dumb and you can tell it's because plot or 'writer said so'.
I didn't really respond on your comment about the show being fresh because, well, I don't disagree there, kind of but you know what I mean, half agree/disagree. That's 1 reason why I like it, it's different from what you're used to seeing. We actually get to see CLARK, and like you said a more human side of Superman.
I'm sure I'll have some more nitpicks to complain about in the future. I still look forward to the show.
Marvel's cinematic universe is better than DC's, true, but they're both still really bad. I haven't really been able to enjoy either at all
@@cybzer0560 They meant loyal to the new comics books... Yeah no thanks that stuff sucks

Yep that is definitely, totally, 100% Zod
He's always been soooo obsessed with people kneeling that it's practically a meme
Oh please this wasn't about protecting Lois this was about his personal vendetta against Superman
And vengeance leads to pain and suffering. And Lois's dad will become a criminal.
I've been wondering about why the robots are affected by Kryptonite, my main theory is that since Zod and Brainiac are working together they might have turned some of the Kryptonians that were working with them into cyborgs or androids to make space travel easier and they wouldn't lost there army strong due to age or death. And since those androids still have the Kryptonian dna in them, they are still weak to Kryptonite.
You are most likely right. However, I have no doubt Brainiac is full control. Brainiac's motive is to collect a planet's knowledge, then destroy it. Look at the final scene. General Zod is the one kneeling to a machine, likely of his own creation, but he's too dumb to know it.
And I'm sure Clark will kneel down on one knee in the last scene of season 2, but not to General Zod.
That is a theory that is so cool yet so messed up. If it’s true, that means Clark has been killing his own people!
Zodd and Brainiac in APOKOLIPS?! WHAT?!
Edit: Ok I'd take it back its not Apokolips. Its just a random planet that they razed. My bad folks
That's Apokolips?
I doubt it. Darkseid would give them far more trouble.
Brainiac is confirmed, Zod is a possibility, but that planet being Apokalips is not likely. Darkseid would never fall to Zod even with Brainiac's help. It is likely another planet.
Season 2 should have Viki be Clark’s JJ Jameson. She continues to drag Clark’s name through the mud and turn everyone against him because it sells papers. She does this by twisting the facts people give her and deliberately finds people who have ridiculous or perverse reasons to hate Superman just like she used Alex. Eventually this leads to not an actual war but a major fight between Superman haters and Superman lovers which puts people in danger and Viki tries to make everyone blame Clark for it. The government takes advantage of this and makes more aggressive moves against Superman. I hope Metallo’s origin is similar to his in the Secret Origin comics but they would have to drop the part where Sam tries to force Lois to marry him and not have him antagonize Superman since Clark and Lois are getting through to him. In the end, the people unite against Viki because everyone unanimously sees Superman for the hero he is. The Gotham gazette gets shut down for ridiculously attacking Superman and Viki gets fired and looses her career for all the trouble she caused for the sake of benefiting herself and she goes to jail for inciting violence and causing citizens to harm each other and Lois writes a story of how the government wants to kill Superman
I like that you can tell it's Zod just by the utterance of that one, single word..... KNEEL
God, I love Lois. She is awesome in the series.❤
"Huh, unexpected."
I love when the villain treats the hero's major victory in a nonchalant manner.
Basically, if the villain treats something the hero sees as major as minor it creates tension by putting the villain on a higher yet unknown level. This is great because you need resolution for the audience to feel satisfied, the victory; but if the writer wants to continue the story they need new tension. Also, you need stakes of some kind.
In a hero vs villain story, the villain needs a means to prevent the hero from winning, or at least failing in some manner. Otherwise, it gets boring fast. Comedy usually subsidizes those stories. So, they win the battle but lose something or someone; or in this case the battle was won but the war has just begun; and if this hard won fight is minor to the villain, what else is to come.
Tune in next time to find out.

Brainiac and Zod for season 2 NICE
Yeah they together for season 2 alright... Together in the sack.
Braniac's origin, in the comics, is so complex. His hobby is shrinking cities from different planets and placing them in bottles. He tried adding Earth to his collection but failed many times.
I can't shake the idea that the brainiac design in My Adventures with Superman looks like an armoured version of Oryx the Taken King from Destiny
I love how Lois is not only standing up to her father because she knows that Clark is a noble hero but also that he's the man that she loves. I can't wait for Season 2 to start in ten days and it will be a good contrast compared to the first Season when Sam Lane assumed that Kryptonians were the invaders. Now Superman will show Sam Lane and Amanda Waller that Brainiac and General Zod are the real invaders to protect Earth against this threat.
Ah, Zod, back at it again with his kneeling fetish.
Jimmy: “Im super rich now”
Batman (Somewhere): “ha, cute”
So the machines of krypton are the invaders. Specifically Braniac.
I hope that this series leads to a new DC Animated Universe like Timmverse!
