@@pacmantravel2158 Really? What do you think changed? I was born in 92 and my dad would take my brother and I to our local Pizza Hut in the late 90’s. I remember the atmosphere but not so much the pizza. What’s your experience?
You missed the spot where it's rush hour and this girl is being yelled at by her manager because she's following these rules step by step and not getting the orders out fast enough.
I watched the whole video. Now, that I have completed my training, please send me a "Certificate of Completion" so that I may apply for the manager's position at Pizza Hut. Thank you.
So after I complete this training video, I'll officially know how to make a pizza hut pizza, be a grill cook for Wendy's, and properly trained as a meat carver at old county buffet. Quarantine has been quite productive XD
As a kid of the 1980s.....let me tell you something, pizza hut was amazing. Nothing resembling what you get at dominos or pizza hut now. Hard to describe without coming across as a "get off my lawn" person, but you could smell it from outside the box. Like restaurant quality. I wish they could bring back their exact formulation and ingredients to show people what it was like. I know im not doing it enough justice.
You aren’t wrong! When you went to Pizza Hut it was a whole experience and was a treat as a kid to go there! You would sit down like in a real restaurant, take your time ordering and they took their time making it too. So while you waited you could go to the salad bar or play some arcade games or just sit together as a family enjoying each other’s company. Then finally the pan came with the pizza and it was baked to perfection. It was a meal not fast food like it is today. The pizza wasn’t doughy or burnt, and you could just tell that they cared about making sure you loved it.
@@michaelreborn9656 And the summer reading programs! I got banned one year because they couldn't believe I was doing that much reading. It took my mama coming in to have words with them about it before they gave me the free pizzas I'd earned 🤣

This is when Pizza Hut was good, and a cool place to eat / take a date to. They haven't made their dough fresh in ages, it comes frozen off a truck, and tastes nothing like the fresh made stuff. Also, of course the salad bar, sandwiches, pasta, beer and wine are all gone - all in the name of streamlining / making a little more profit. Also, if youre wondering, "fairy dust" is 2 parts parmesan cheese and 1 part oregano (I worked there 1987-1989).
Going out for a sit-down meal at the local Pizza Hut restaurant was a special night out in the 80's and the pizza used to be amazing...they brought the drinks out in pitchers!
Worked there in '86.. was 16. I dated a co-worker and the pizza smell of her brown checked uniform turned me on. Still haunts me to this day.. damn you Pizza Hut, damn you.
This was back in the day when they made their own dough and sauce. I worked there in the mid-late 80's. I had to watch this very video. Back then a large pepperoni had 60. Now it has 36. Large was cut into 12 pieces, now it's 8. The thin crust dough sat in the container all day and by the end of the night, started fermenting, giving the pies a nicer flavor. Now all dough comes in pre-frozen and, well, it sucks.
My older brother took up his first job at a Pizza Hut at age 16, the same year this training video was made. He can confirm this video is the real deal, he said it brought back memories for him...he hated Pizza Hut
I would have been 7 years old when they made this. I always wonder when i watch videos like this, where these people are now how old are they what kind of life they have lived ? I don't know why I just do
That's what I was wondering. I never worked fast food but that process seemed way too slow. Also that chart seemed like it would be useless in about an hour; I think I already have it memorized.
There's such a charm to the campy simplicity of the video content from the 1980s. It's like watching an after school TV special. They all felt like this.
I’m a nurse & I work in the ICU…and yet I’m sitting here for 20minutes watching a PH training video from start to finish like I start lunch shift tomorrow. ☠️
The dining experience was the BEST I have ever experienced back in the 80s. Will never forget that experience sitting on those cushy red booths that you sink into, the signature Pizza Hut aroma, those big glass pictures full of soda you pour into red plastic cups, and most of all that pan pizza inside that black dish served on a wooden board coming to your table.
I absolutely loved the way the old Pizza Hut pan pizza used to taste. The ingredients were so different back then. It was absolutely delicious, nothing at all like the modern day version. The new Pizza Hut tastes cheap, salty, oily and gives me heartburn. They used to put quality ingredients first now they put profit first. Today's Pizza Hut is awful. 80s Pizza Hut was awesome.
You're right, Pizza Hut & Papa John's pizza always give me heartburn and indigestion after I eat it. Tried Little Caesars and it was just gross, and Domino's never taste like anything to me. UGH!!!!!!!!!
