What a coincidence Doug...I just recently had you work on a Galaxy 66v2 for me and then I seen this little President Bill sitting on the shelf at a truck stop and bought it to see how well it would perform being hooked up to LMR 240 UF cable and silver gold pin pl-259 connectors as well as matched it up wit a Hustler HQ-27 antenna and I am thoroughly impressed it gets out there, and the recieve is incredible. Hell!.. one guy I was talking to about 4 miles solid thought I was running an amp...I told him 'nope its all barefoot man. He said he was going to get one too. If you can improve on this radio let us know...I'm in....great review btw
I LOVE my President Bill! I have not had a CB radio in my Subaru Forester because there is no room for my Cobra 148GTL until I found the Pres. Bill. It has many cool features and fits in between the seat and the console! I wish I could post a pic to show you guys how small it is,and works well.
Great little talker. Go to service menu. Reduce the carrier, increase modulation and feed a Little Italy. Loud, clear and no splatter. My only complaint is the buttons on the microphone. They will actuate when you drop mic in your cup holder. Also screen is hard to see if mounted high in your ride.

Could I splice a 12v cigarette lighter plug onto the power leads? All my president radios have the 3 prong plug an I have that permanently installed in my vehicle

Bought one off ebay, didn't realize how small it was, ebay pics don't do it's size justice, probably lose it in the cab of my fullsize pickup, gonna replace my pres. andy II, n thats kinda small for big truck. 😮😊😅
I have an anytone at-6666 moded for 11 meters, bonded and grounded everything on the jeep and with no conditions I get out 16 miles in the city. I can DX when mother nature allows.
Wow! Very compact. Barely any electronics on the topside of the board! I laughed when you were trying to balance the unit on the cookie. Ha Ha BTW, I use PowerDirector as well. Best editor/value on the market. Good price to go with the watermark as well. You barely even notice it.

I buy my “export” radios from Radio World in the UK. So far I bought a President McKinley and Bill. Shipping was $19 for the McKinley and $15 for the Bill. The biggest difference I saw so far is the receiver is a bit noisier than the USA versions of the radios. I guess that is to be expected with radios as wide band as they are.
Another question if I may. I have a 2009 RAM 1500 Quad cab with a hard cover on the bed. Looking for a good antenna ( not a magnet type as the wire is hard to hide) that will work well. What would you recommend? Maybe a 102 ' whip on a solid bumper mount or some type of hood mount? Thanks

would u bump up the modulation? i read to adjust the PL to 127 and the AL to 55

I don’t know much about electric but should you have the power supply coiled up causing resistance?
That won't hurt anything, and coiling it up will cause inductance not resistance. It makes a choke.
How you modify from 4w to 20w?

same here 25 miles 100watts on the 6666, it out performance my Lincoln 2+ , anytone has a better receive filtering.
