It always amazes me that even at such a young age, she's able to bring that emotion and embody the feeling of the songs she sings, even if she can't truly comprehend how deep they may be. She makes you believe that she absolutely does.

Agree G. Have heard a lot of very good "singers", but there are very very few master vocalists and Angelina is in that category. Have been listening to music for over 60 years and never in my lifetime have a heard anything or anyone to compare her to, IMHO. Great reaction. For me, I refer versions of songs to Angelina's version. Most times Angelina's version of a song is at least on a par with the original, and in most cases her version is superior, at least to my ear. Given time I think she will be viewed as a major singer of the Twenty First Century. And her development has been captured for the enjoyment of future generations.

I suspect she has already worked out exactly how she wants to sing each song she does. She uses the words just as prompts. Or if she is reading the words for the first time as she sings then we need to watch the skies because the mothership will be wanting her back.
The original is by Adele. Adele is an amazing creator, performer and artist and I love listening to her. I do feel however that Angelina’s voice is richer and warmer than Adele’s and get more emotion from Angelina’s singing. I find it very hard to objectively rank singers and I do not really care about it. I know which artists I like and they manage to hit me in the feels in some way or another. I love these performances with Ivan Mendez. They did a whole series of performances in this way. As I understood they hung out during the day, agreed on a song, did a little bit of practicing and than recorded it usually in one take. It gives me a very intimate feeling as if they are just across the room. You can hear every detail, every breath of air and fingers sliding across the strings.

G, this is just an example of extraordinary talent. Is she the best artist in the world? If one gathers all the dynamics (quality of performance, vocals, arrangements, genre changes, comfort level*, etc.), she does quite well. I put comfort level* in the mix because too many artists (especially the younger artists), gives one the feeling that they are hanging on by their fingernails, and it triggers some sort of empathetic response which can be quite draining. With Angelina, it's total freedom from that sort of attachment. In other words, I do not have a thought that her portion of the music will ever suffer. Another memorable reaction. Thank you.

I think it’s an Adele song. Angelina seems to really like her songs, I think because they are so emotional. She is having four concerts this summer in Norway, and I hope she will sing some of her new original songs. At any rate, we should be enjoying some videos from these concerts, although I thought surely they would release some of the songs she sang for her Christmas concert, but they never did (at least I didn’t see any).

Great reaction. For me, I refer versions of songs to Angelina's version. Most times Angelina's version of a song is at least on a par with the original, and in most cases her version is superior, at least to my ear. Given time I think she will be viewed as a major singer of the Twenty First Century. And her development has been captured for the enjoyment of future generations.

The original is by Adele. Adele is an amazing creator, performer and artist and I love listening to her. I do feel however that Angelina’s voice is richer and warmer than Adele’s and get more emotion from Angelina’s singing. I find it very hard to objectively rank singers and I do not really care about it. I know which artists I like and they manage to hit me in the feels in some way or another.
I love these performances with Ivan Mendez. They did a whole series of performances in this way. As I understood they hung out during the day, agreed on a song, did a little bit of practicing and than recorded it usually in one take. It gives me a very intimate feeling as if they are just across the room. You can hear every detail, every breath of air and fingers sliding across the strings.
She sends us million years ago and with her laughing at the end, we are back in the present. Amazing 😄

G, this is just an example of extraordinary talent. Is she the best artist in the world? If one gathers all the dynamics (quality of performance, vocals, arrangements, genre changes, comfort level*, etc.), she does quite well. I put comfort level* in the mix because too many artists (especially the younger artists), gives one the feeling that they are hanging on by their fingernails, and it triggers some sort of empathetic response which can be quite draining. With Angelina, it's total freedom from that sort of attachment. In other words, I do not have a thought that her portion of the music will ever suffer. Another memorable reaction. Thank you.

Please realize people that if Adele hadn't written this beautiful, emotion filled song, Angelina could not have been so moved and inspired to create what many of us feel is an even more heartfelt rendition, expressing the intense feelings the song elicits for her. I think it’s an Adele song. Angelina seems to really like her songs, I think because they are so emotional. She is having four concerts this summer in Norway, and I hope she will sing some of her new original songs. At any rate, we should be enjoying some videos from these concerts, although I thought surely they would release some of the songs she sang for her Christmas concert, but they never did (at least I didn’t see any).
How lucky is Ivan Mendez on the guitar? You can see his utter joy and appreciation of Angelina's incredible voice. Angelina has the most beautiful lower register of any female singer alive today. Here are some facts about Angelina (by now you surely know most but I guess there are some you did not know). First, her family, Her maternal grandmother (Mary) is Iranian (Angelina speaks Farsi). She had countless concerts in Norway, Sweden, Germany, England, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, and the North Pole. (So much I found out - probably there are more) In Seul she opened the concert for Norah Jones, she performed for Norway royalties, on Quincy Jones's birthday concert, and appeared in many TV shows. This definitely takes me on a trip elsewhere. All the more impressive with the cute botched attempt at the word 'inevitable'. The constant distraction of her looking for the lyrics. Yet still no distractions can stop you from floating away if you let yourself on this one. Zero people could sell a song that well with those distractions, well one person.
