We are flying this plane in a couple of weeks from ewr to LHR and back. We got the same two-seater but on on the other side. Thank you for making this video. I am glad I got to choose those seats!
Very helpful. My husband and i have booked the 2 seaters both ways to Barbados for next week...i didnt chance last minute booking as these seats are booked fast
I thought BA was catered by Do & Co. They are supposed to be really good. That food did not look too appetizing. By the way, congrats on your wedding!❤✈
I travelled three times to UK to visit family last year. Last time we took the two seats on the opposite side from yours. 48H and J. The space between the seat and the window made it difficult see outside. Anyway it was the red eye to LHR so not much to see. The toilets are directly behind so it was a bit noisy but not smelly. I always order a south Asian meal as it's tastier and is served before the usual fare. That space is good for storing carry ons but was reprimanded for stacking it there and had to put it under my seat.
I'm taking this flight, Newark to Heathrow on the BA 787-10 on Halloween this year! I will look at grad schools for my MBA; this will be my third time in the UK. I was in London in August of 2022 and flew from JFK to Heathrow on American and back on BA. I love BA and it's always a treat flying to Europe out of Newark.
@@nycflyertravel I forgot to mention, I'm from NJ and I work in the financial sector of advertising in NYC. I'm actually a pilot who has been flying since I was 15. Great video as always👍, the 787-10 is really nice. What a rude woman taking the whole bin for herself, I don't know if I could let her get away with that😅😂
@nycflyertravel Unfortunately, "creatures" like her are way too prevalent nowadays. As a lifelong commercial aviation geek, I have lost much of my desire to fly these days because of the rudeness of so many passengers. I find myself booking sleeping compartments on Amtrak or VIA Rail when traveling in the States and Canada these days. Still waiting for an "undersea trans-Atlantic train to Europe". 😂😂😂
We are flying on a BA 787-10 from Seattle to London. I'm considering one of the two-seaters ($112 a seat) by the window for possible extra legroom. I'm 6'4. Not sure if the armrest raises or if it's even possible to stretch my legs out in that extra space. It would be Row 47 on Seat Guru.
I know it's a 31" seat pitch throughout economy but I thought I could stretch my legs out in that open space in front of me if I grab a window seat@@nycflyertravel
What date did you film, what's thre registration, is your flight to Newark 75 to 90% full, is that your 1st time flying British airways, Boeing 787-10, how is it and how much did you pay to fly British airways to Newark?
Let me guess they did this to compete with United Airlines Virgin Atlantic flights one and two were to come back which was actually their inaugural service back in 1984 you would have seen this happen if people can afford the British airlines over UA Polaris. then you'll have this result BA Oneworld Alliance First/Club World = VS Skyteam Alliance Upper Class > UA Polaris. You do see that result when going to Germany & Switzerland from EWR LH403 EWR-FRA LH413 EWR-MUC = LX19 EWR-ZRH > UA960/30/134.

Thanks for another objective and comprehensive review. Belated congratulations on your marriage 🎉. I remember you flew with your "girlfriend" down to Charleston not that long ago.🤔. Take care and have a great weekend.
Great video, my friend! I always love traveling with British Airways. Sorry about your experience with the entitled passenger (they always frustrate me while flying). I have to say though, Heathrow Terminal 5 seems to have a bit of an empty feel nowadays, with the Queen of the Skies having been retired during the pandemic. But a nice experience, nevertheless!
I dislike it when the people in front recline without asking and you have the back to their seat virtually in your face. Makes using the IFE impossible and difficult to eat. Rude.
@@Savethemanuals94 As a matter of courtesy and convenience I never recline my seat. I will often ask the passenger in front of me to please move their seat upright. It doesn't hurt to ask.
Heathrow is giant to me. Had a long layover there and I was shocked how long it took to transfer to my next terminal
Yeah, Heathrow is definitely a big airport. They have some cool airlines there, so I always enjoy flying through LHR and doing some plane spotting.

Awesome! Although I thought economy was fine. It’s a relatively short flight.

That’s cool that they have that on their A350 too
How far back do the seats in front of you recline? Will you have the person in front of you laying in your lap, so to speak?
It’s not too bad
Is BA competing with United 787-10 between EWR and LHR?
New traveler to British airways. What’s the best seat to take for economy
I flew EWR-LHR with them, but they changed it to a dash 9 last second and the flight was miserable lol
