New Renault Clio Cup 5

The new version of the Renault Clio, which has reached the fifth generation, already reveals the sporting DNA that historically has seen it establish itself in Italian single-brand stores and has been present since 1975.
The Cup version is equipped with a 1,3 liter four-cylinder turbo engine that delivers 180 horsepower and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. The preparation of the car also sees a Sadev ST82 sequential gearbox with five speeds plus reverse with lever selector and a self-locking differential by ZF.
The non-adjustable shock absorbers are Bos Suspension, while the frame is a welded steel monocoque and equipped with a welded safety roll cage. The ECU Life Racing electronics and the empty weight of 1040 kg are two other ingredients that make the car even more capable.
The development work on the car lasted over 20 months and involved a staff of four from the Renault Sport Racing design department, three engineers and an engine specialist, constantly supported by suppliers dedicated to the main components of the car.
At a cost of 37,900 euros + VAT, with orders that started at the end of September 12 cars have already been spoken for.
