    What an awesome adventure for you, and for all us avid watchers. Great videos; loved your commentary and all of the scenery. Your enthusiasm for mud in the Longwood section was joyful.
    I'm sure you have plenty of subscribers who would be keen to see any follow up videos on post-trail gear reviews, and what you ate whilst on the trail. Always interesting topics.
    Thanks for sharing your journey, and thumbs up.

    A brilliant series of videos! I have really enjoyed watching these over the last couple of weeks (my coffee break entertainment!) I spent a wonderful 3 months in NZ in 2007 and the thing that has made me the happiest is seeing that those amazing eels at Nelson Lakes are still alive and kicking! Great story telling, thanks so much for making the effort to film and share with us armchair adventurers here in the UK. Enjoy your next adventures!

    Thanks for the map my friend as this gives a whole new perspective to the adventure the journey you undertook. Awesome series fabulous photography showing outstanding scenes in all types of inclement weather. You can be justifiably proud of your achievements and the trip you have escorted us on with you. A question .. do you find it better to travel with others .. as i've noted you do a lot of lone hikes or occassionally with J. Either way it comes down to a personal choice. Thanks for the memories mate I've enjoyed watching you grow through this series with your capabilities and photographic skills. Onwards and upwards to the next challenge. ATVB. Bushybpy Oz.

      Thank you so much Ewen.
      As far as hiking alone or with people, it depends...
      I really like solo trips and I would highly recommend that everyone tries them. I normally try to avoid other people on my trips, doing TA I knew meeting people would be unavoidable so instead I embraced it and enjoyed others company.
      Going on trips with people can be awesome, it's cool to be able to reminisce on a trip with somebody and each remember different details.
      I still love solo trips but I think I will try do some more trips with people aswell in the future.
      Hope that answers your question.
      Cheers

    • @BackcountryKiwi
      @BackcountryKiwi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Alan.
      So yeah I also enjoyed the bush/backcountry parts the most, but I looked at it as the other parts just being part of the experience and another thing to enjoy. Some people skip the road sections and it's each to their own. I viewed it as another challenge and kind of enjoyed being a purist haha.

For people like me who would like to do the same, would you consider putting an instructional video/videos together explaining food, costs, organisation of food drops & accommodation ahead?
