So dissapointed you didnt play on cinder 500 while blindfolded and telepathically controlling the game with your brain waves while you were in a different continent.
Yeah and this game is not fun to watch just due to being hard, it makes you build only best in slot for everything. That can be fun to play but it is just kind of frustrating. Like on 12+ I want 3 auras dominant and a kitsune mask. Because one that is built you win.
This man really saw one item that said "jump through these hoops to make a weapon you don't have better" and then dedicated his life to getting a level 4 cold weapon. Never change haha.
When you open up a gift box, they sometimes drop items, and those items can hide under santa. I'd recommend stepping away from santa to open the box, or running around him to see if the items pop up. I also think that your burn aura applied the cold damage bonus from your accessory.
honestly I feel like some of the later rooms and fights are a bit unreasonably messy and difficult. but it's really impressive that you were able to pull this run off. whatever makes the game funner for whoever is playing is the correct way to play, don't let anyone make you feel bad for enjoying more chill experiences sometimes
I usually sit at Cinder level 8. I think you should *TRY* a single run on Cinder 16. There's an achievement for it too. But the sweetspot for fun and difficulty is around Cinder 6-9-ish imo. Nice.
You have to play the upgrade you get from beating Bandit, Pirate can throw up some DMG like BAM and once you know what you are doing (which can vary for each stat) he goes insano mode.
Honestly, you shouldn't feel the need to keep Cinder level high to appease some members of your audience. Another streamer I watch occasionally is more than capable of doing near-max Heat runs in Hades but he usually does low-mid Heat runs instead and his audience doesn't give him shit for that.
It took me a bunch of resets for good RNG and slight soul scarf abuse to beat cinder 16. It's just for a steam achievement. Up to you if it's worth the grind. I personally don't think so since it's not as fun.
I found from watching another guy play this game that on the lower floors (not sure which specifically) some blacksmiths can upgrade a weapon to +4. so your aversion to ranged weapons because its hard to get them to +4 is slightly unwarranted (might be something from the skill tree though?)
To the games credit I haven't found any of the elements to be unplayable. They all do different things but those things do function well for the most part.
I just recently finished beating the game with every character, and have taken alacrity on almost every dex run that I've done, without realising that it was bugged.
hey i second the comments of you going to lower cinder if that's what is fun for you but whenever you can, you should absolutely do a cinder 16 episode, It would be a great olexa video, even if it's a 20/30 min episode !
That Meteor enchantment (and the similar battery one) just... don't work, with some of the endgame boss patterns. Especially, as you saw, the one that disables your ability to dash. Probably needs some minor modifications for balance purposes, if the dev wants damage to be 'fair' in all cases.
The game feels like it's built to be played casually at the 9-10 cinder range. You can pick one or two moderately annoying ones, take all the easily-mitigated or ignorable ones, and dodge the truly obnoxious ones like 'can't see your first traits'. You'll win more often than not at that level as long as you can survive till the background algorithm throws you whatever your build is missing to take off. Above that, the average player will probably have a sub-50% win-rate just because if you get a weak start with bad early weapons/traits, you won't survive long enough to level out. Obviously there are a certain type of player out there who insists 16 cinder is the only way to play, and more power to them - but I play games like Isaac and Tiny Rogues for the fun and hilarious builds, not to hone my skills in preparation for an apocalypse where I can only obtain water and food by playing Fromsoft games naked. If they did tweak cinders, I'd want two things - remove the blind-trait cinder for something with more player agency, and add a small scaling multiplier per cinder - perhaps 3% more HP per cinder on all mobs and twice that on bosses? So at 16 cinders bosses would have almost double durability, sure, but on an average run they wouldn't instantly die because any run strong enough to get to floor 12 will flatten everything there (as it seems currently). Oh, and I still love all your videos and this is my favorite series from you in a while. It's a good match for your style of narration and analysis!
Dex is pretty busted in the beta. It’s always been good but a lot more consistent now. My favorite combo is starting with Poison Jar, getting all the infusions and forcing the game to give me Harmony for 50% attack speed on elemental hit.
So dissapointed you didnt play on cinder 500 while blindfolded and telepathically controlling the game with your brain waves while you were in a different continent.
lmao
@@OlexaYT you forgot to beat it while you soul is split and body incinerated
Man that ending kept me at the edge of my seat. 10/10 episode. The game winning decision to re-equip the emblem too was just perfect.
Hey man, play on whatever cinder you feel comfortable with. So long as you’re having fun and dishing out new content I won’t complain.
I second this! Having fun is the most important, especially since he doesn't seem to be unlocking anything with more cinders

no i like the high cinders n the ppl b itch that hes dieing n should take the free revive, and or buy the revive noo noo noo easy mode
I agree with this, I'd much rather see a variety of cool/stupid runs than the same tryhard run every time

best perk in the game imo is the one that makes every blacksmith able to upgrade to level 4.
btw absolutely clutch finish haha.
Chill runs with no cinder are welcome breaks from cinder madness.
you can make regular blacksmith upgrade any weapon to level 4 using mastery point

You were finding stuff in the tavern because of santa. Bombs and keys autocollect but consumable items have to be picked up
I loved it! Also, play with what you're comfortable with my guy! Also you've inspired me to force a poison run due to your dedication to a cold run.
I'm so happy you forced a cold run in this episode, I've never seen anyone do it before. :D

It’s in the skill tree
@@OlexaYT the drueger blacksmith on the last floor before the alignment gates can upgrade ranged and magic to level four even without the skill.
It's 23:27 now, Olexa. Thanks for making me remember to drink water.
I like cold build since it have up to 3 different debuff which is slow, frostbite and snowbrand.
Remember that a lot of weapons change their attack speed/distance based upon how far away the mouse is from you

You got 3 follow up crits at the end, pretty Lucky haha
If it’s more enjoyable, you should play on a lower cinder! Try-hards are gonna nitpick, no matter what.
I've only fought amon once, and i was so OP i never saw that second phase attack. I'm horrified 😂

Woo, I was sweating at those last few moments. Fantastic job =)
Do cinder down. Enable only fun ones like new enchants and automaton big boyo

Tiamat is a dragon. she is queen of the evil dragons in DnD or something if i recall correctly.
Can my boy Olexa get some likes. Homie def deserves it

Olenky, there is upgrade at firepit on the right that allow smith to upgrade Your weapon to 4th lvl 😁
What a final fight
You can get things to lvl 4 or higher like bows, its just harder to do so

High Cinder is pretty much all down to RNG once you’ve gotten the game down to auto pilot lol.

Tyler you are playing sooooo nice keep up. Love the runs
Everyone saying Tylor is not good and alll but man... I would like to see you trying those doges in the last boss fight x)
Great video olexa
Fricked up and on high
No shame in turning down, or even off completely, the Cinder levels. Mastery 30 will happen soon enoough even without it.
For some reason I started with 30 Mastery the day the update dropped.
well played!!!

how is the alacrity skill buged?
It straight up doesn’t give the stats it says. It adds like, .05% attack speed haha. So effectively nothing
Skill issue did not lower the cinder level because of how he this be will react
Wow, edge seat florp face nice bro holy fup
real
Comments, do any of you know id you can check why things get not very effective or super effective runs?
Mostly due to RNG and synergies.
5 seconds in, I just know you’re going to miss a secret room 🥹❤️
