For act 1, the guy who looked at the traveler ofdly was later seen next to the hydro archon during the first accounter. Either this guy is more important OR he was used just to explain that she has people spying for her
Yea i took it to mean he was an informant for furina, cuz when the traveler / paimon asks how she knew we were even coming, it showed a wide angle of her saying something about having her ways, and he was in the back drop
i just guessed that it was a spy, which i assume her way of being an "all-knowing god" and seeming more archonly. like she uses informants to get info and make herself seem more godly
Neuvilette brings it up later, she’s scoping all of teyvat to find a way to prevent the prophecy conundrum, one of said things she was keeping tabs on was traveler.
@@RocGirl05 Well in the one event with the oceanids the one was worried the little guy was a spy froms Fontaine, that the new archon is sending out spys all over. Its possible since the oceanids don't like her that she has to rely on other means (humans)
We know that Furina has sent many informat from around Teyvat on the purpose of "spying" all the nation so it wouldn't be a surprise if she knew about us and our previous acts
I think that Childe dreams about the whale is extremely similar to what we see in the trailer with Freminet. Although subtle, when we see Freminet dive in the trailer, right before he start to panic, there is a huge shadow that comes toward him. This, I think, is the whale that Childe talks about.
About thaaat, does anyone remember GIANT WHALE is Kokomi's trailer? Does "dark ocean depths" means " the depths of primordial sea"? Can we watch her trailer again and discuss this?
16:26 Not sure if I understood it correctly but in case I did: The man is an informant of the hydro archon, we briefly see him bowing down to her when we first meet her at the port and ask her how she knew that we were coming.
You kinda blew my mind with the triplets theory. Hoyo doesn't do anything without a reason so it is possible; it would also explain how Furina was instated as the "new" Hydro Archon. So perhaps the Lord of Amrita was the eldest of the trio, then the middle sacrificed herself - or was sacrificed - to create the Oratrice, leaving Furina, the youngest to lead Fontaine. If that's the case... fuck. Fontaine is going to break me emotionally it seems. Also, we kinda do know who the one from Sumeru was. In the first few shots with Furina, we see a man who looks almost the same as him give a bow with Furina in the shot, as she explains how she knew when the Traveler would arrive in Fontaine. Though someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
To add up to the three sisters - always that we have seen chairs (like adeptus table in lyue or the chais in the time stop place in sumeru) those chais had owners so those three thrones must have an owner -the justice has also a rule of three (judge, jury and executioner) so maybe: The executioner was the one who fought in the archon war and died in sumeru The judge is the one in the machine And jury is focalor
this !!! I feel like judge, jury, & executioner actually helps ground the rule-of-3 theory into "reasonably likely" territory ! plus, for-sure agree on the 'chairs def have owners' position, esp given that hoyo doesn't throw blatant symbolism/icons like that without intent and reason 👀
I very much enjoyed both Acts. Being a lawyer and investigator was dope af. And this Archon Quest actually made me want to pull for Monsieur Neuvillette and Navia! Not so much Furina but hey, she’s an Archon, I’m not passing up on that little brat haha
Then why pull on Furina if you don’t like her. Dude this was just two out of 6 part of the archon quest. The whole thing of Fontaine is duality, so there’s more to Furina than meets the eye. You can literally hear her cry about how lonely she is at the fountain. She is suffering so much mentally. She doesn’t deserve the hate she’s getting, so may you lose the 50/50 in her banner to Qiqi
@@Minsleif I totally thought Navia would be similar to Nilou in Sumeru, where she’s the token cute and pleasant girl but nothing too major (And don’t get me wrong, I love Nilou). But they gave Navia such an amazing introduction and storyline and character development. Absolutely great!
16:28 he can be seen bowing during furina's first appearance, at her side, meaning he heard the traveler was going to fontaine and tipped the archon off. We don't know his name, or if hes more suspicious, but he seems to at least be close to furina.
Your theory about Furina is VERY wild, I love it. Especially since it could be a reference to the french legend "l'homme au masque de fer" ("the man with the iron mask")
@@Minsleif me too!! I feel like it's a great starting point to learn new languages in a fun way hehe your efforts always pay off cause you sound on point every time

Knowing what we know now after Masquerade of the Guilty, its amazing to look back in this video and see how close your theories were to the actual story, especially the Furina theory you had at the end. Although the triple sibling theory was not proven right, it still gave me chills when you said Furina had a twin.
The whole Fontaine Act 1 story was incredible! Like it's got to where it reached to an Ace Attorney level of hype. Hoyoverse did an amazing job with this quest and the artwork of solvings too! If only if Yanfei was involved, it would've been 10x better.
It would be 10x better if HoYo builds the underwater regions around all the other maps and islands, especially Kokomo’s home, like duh she the Archon mermaid of fish and can’t even swim around her own region. So dumb.
@@tropicthndrEven though there are oceans and lakes in Teyvat, it wont be possible because Fontaine is on different levels, they have 2 waterfalls around their nation to avoid the rising sea levels which is why you can dive so deep, it would also be too much work to make underwater regions everywhere though it would be cool This is the only reason I could think of for why you can swim really deep in Fontaine but not other nations
Just FYI, the "Do you believe in rapture" achievement is a reference to Bioshock, whose main city is called Rapture. Note that the achievement title doesn't say "Do you believe in THE Rapture". And you earn the achievement by exploring underwater (in a specific way, that I'll leave out for spoilers).
To those who don't know A man named Andrew Ryan gathered talented people with him, those who felt their skills are only being used, not appreciated enough, and drained by the society He wanted to give them a utopia, where their skills and dreams aren't limited and no society to control them. However due to Ryan's paranoria of outsiders and traitors, he slowly became a tyrant leading to a Civil War Ironic how he became the very thing he hated the most
The man who was on Sumeru during the farewell scene was also the man that was shown when Furina welcomed the traveller in Fontaine. I don't think he is an important character. Furina just gave him the job to watch out for the Traveller so she could prepare a very good entrance like challenge the traveller.
I hope you make Fontaine side quest lore next, especially about the secret society/institute. It was pretty interesting but I am having hard time to understand some detail, especially for who is who and their respective objective.
what makes me anxious about childe’s vision being in our inventory is not how the other characters ended up dead, but that these quest items have all been permanent so far. why do we keep childe’s vision [permanently]….? doesn’t he need it back? we basically promised to see each other again to give it back, but it’s… possibly permanently in our inventory? as a childe simp i am stressed 😫
@@oliviagrace9650 Hoyo did kill off one of their playable main characters in Honkai Impact 3rd. So brace yourself that Childe might get the same treatment as Murata Himeko. They'll be dead, on the continuing storyline, but you can still play them.
Rather than Triplets, perhaps it's just 3 sisters, the oldest being the former Hydro Archon, the middle sibling being the Oratrice and Furina the youngest who was given too much responsibility to bear on her own
The man from Sumeru is the one that tells Furina about the traveler entering her nation. At least that’s what I got from not only seeing the man eye up the traveler and when Furina tries to say it was her own power that allowed her know about the traveler.
I thoroughly enjoyed both acts. I was absolutely shocked when Childe was found guilty. I hope he does get released but imagine this; he loses control and the final boss battle of the fontaine archon quest is a tartaglia who's lost control? It would be a matching set with his battle in Liyue.
or maybe it’s possible that egeria is the one who got sacrificed into the oratrice? people have been speculating two possibilities on who egeria might be. 1. Egeria = Lord of Amrita which was the old hydro archon 2. Egeria is the God of Justice and in Ars Goetia, Focalor’s goal is to climb the throne so people has been speculated that she killed Egeria/former hydro archon to get to where she is now. However, this triplet theory thing is definitely much more believable and interesting so it’s very much possible that Egeria was the sacrificed twin to make the oratrice.
Another theory I'm speculating for Act three is that we haven't seen a hydro gnosis inside of Furina like other previous Archons, nor in the machine like the Akasha terminal powered by Nahida's dendro gnosis similar to the Oratrice's power source. Could the hydro gnosis inside of Furina's heart we heard from the fountain messed up the Oratrice in an uncontrollable state? Or could the Hydro gnosis inside the Oratrice stores conciousness of the dead Hydro Archon twins into being glitched? If so, I think that's the main reason why Arlecchino and her adopted magician siblings has to steal the gnosis to not only shut down the glitched Oratrice plucked out of Furina, but also make the people of Fontaine rebel against Furina's false acts in a French revolution war before putting her on trial.
I think the man who spied on the traveler in Sumeru in the beginning of the Archon Quest can also be seen at Furina's first appearance to the traveler. It's most likely he told Furina that the traveler and Paimon soon will arrive in Fontaine. That would solve the question traveler and Paimon were asking themselves how she knew about them being in Fontaine.
I was literally trying to find an archon quest recap an hour or two ago and subscribed after watching the recent 2 videos. Seeing this on my recommendations feed rn has to be a coincidence
This was awesome to watch after completing the Archon Quest and getting to see things that I missed plus your recap of events and theories. I really love when you make lists of all the important points in your videos, it makes it really easy to understand and remember it all. Also, I LOVE your theory about Furina being a triplet. I saw those 3 thrones at the Opera boss when I was exploring and it made me think of the 3 thrones in the Sumeru Desert but I never thought anything more about it and your idea makes so much sense about Furina and how she acts too. Great video and love all your content, thank you!!
Spoilers in relation to the Narzissenkreuz world quest: There is also the curious comment by Ann about "the rule of three" while clearing the quests. This strengthens the triplets conjecture assuming that this is where that rule came from all the way during the old times.
I read from somewhere that "Truth amongst the pages of purana" was actually mistranslated and was translated again as "Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame rises"
If you ever want to know more about Genshin's lore or facts and theories, then Minsleif is your girl, as gorgeous as she is, she is also incredible with Genshin theories.
Actually I haven’t seen any TH-camrs having realised who that man side-eyeing the traveler af sumeru was? But I noticed right away (at least if I am to trust my memory, I haven’t checked to match the appearances, yet) while playing, that the same person is bowing to Furina from the side right after she says that she knew that the traveler was coming because she, as an archon, is privy to information that mortals cannot hope to have. The point of that man seemed to make it clear from the behinning that Furina is quite desperate to dramatize things using what she has, so when the man told her that the traveler was coming, she came in charging to appear grand and mysterious. Anyway I'll check to see if the appearance really matches, now...
Okay yep same guy, slight correction, he is shown when she's saying "all it takes for me is a flick of a finger to know everything there is to know about you". He bows from the side, showing that actually he told her everything that she knows 💀
@@centsant yeahh and when I went to check for the guy at bwaap's video, saw that he noticed that it was the same guy. Dunno if he connected the dots tho
Love your videos so much, and I'm so excited to hear your theories regarding all of the dark lore (Elynas etc.) in Fontaine! I'm really loving Fontaine so far, there's a lot of lore to dig into!
I'm watching your channel to pass the time before Father's release and I'm amazed how right you were about a certain character, whose identity was revealed in later quests. I also love how you explain lore 😊 Looking forward to your future vids ❤
*the guy we saw in sumeru is shown the time the traveler asks how furina knew he was coming he's hydro archon's informent *Neuvillette doesn't have a vision so he's either an archon or the hydro dragon a theory that Arlechino setup the whole Lyney and Lynette backstory now you might ask why she didn't just adopt them when they were orphans, the answer to that is simple there is no good without bad, the worse you experience the better the things that come after feel doing things this way got her their fealty, a great soldier is a soldier that doesn't question his superior even more so twists reality for them.
I'm not 100% certain about this but Childe's dream about a whale and Skirk telling him that he had it made me wonder if the two had either merged or it just simply gave him power. Although VERY different it reminded me of the meta morph surgery from Honkai, where a soldier is basically combined with a honkai beast and after that they have enhanced abilities as well as the ability to transform. One soldier in particular Kosma actually lost control and attacked one of his allies, and with Childe being moody maybe there's a chance that he will lose control and start attacking allies. The Oratrice may have sensed whatever 'it' is and decided he needed to be locked away to keep other people safe. If there's a chance he does lose control then its possible that Childe dies because he asks the Traveler to kill him if he ever does, this way his family doesn't get hurt. This is just a theory, but I do feel certain that we will get a Part Two for him and that quest might tell us what might happen in the future.
My thoughts on the "Notable things" 1. I'm surprised you missed it, the side eye-ing Fontaine man is Furina's informant who told her about our arrival in Fountaine resulting in her dramatic entrance at the start 2. This "It" has made Childe one of the most important characters for the entire story as "It" is a mystery power of some sort that can contain/Stop abyssal erosion as mentioned by Dainsleif that it should've been impossible for Halfdan to still retain his sense of self without "It" Act2 Nuvilette's definitely the hydro Dragon Lord we've been waiting for.
Yeah Childe being accused might be caused by "it" so maybe "it" really was involved in the creation of the "sin" and maybe the Oratrice senses "it" or is familiar with "it", anyways great video and Furina theory!
I think the guy who was eyeing the Traveler in Sumeru was just to show how Furina knew that the Travelers were heading to Fontaine; As after they said they are heading to Fontaine is when his "..." text bubble shows up. When Paimon asks Furina how she knew they were coming to Fontaine, Furina does an ego boost as usual by saying something about how smart she is, when in actuality that guy told her what he overheard what the Traveler said in Sumeru as we can see as he bows to Furina while she is doing her Ego boost.
I don’t think the oritrice is a twin of furina but more so the previous Hydro Archons consciousness because in Renes investigation notes, it talks about him, finding some sort of will in the oasis in the desert it’s possible he showed this to the archon and furina created the oritrice with it if you look at the Hydro statue, it looks exactly like furina but with different similarities and nahida says as the Archon of fountaine she’s still reserves the right to influence the final verdict if I had to predict, I feel like furina is a copy of the original Hydro Archons, that was created by Celestia in some type of way we even furina crying in the fountain of lucine talking about her being alone also, I think another thing that supports the theory is the fact that a triangle is supposedly the most ordered and balanced shape the fact furina may actually have a twin could possibly mean that they were all created by celestia if you really think about it, it makes sense the previous Hydro Hwy Archon could’ve been the older sibling with the middle one being the oritrice and the youngest being furina it’s very well, a possibility that the boys were here and the fountain of lucine is actually furina not only crying about being alone but he’s also still grieving over the death of her two sisters maybe or just the two copies of herself
Previous hydro archon seems like it would check out but I think we already know what happened to her in the Khvarena Quest : ( The thing is I guess it isn't impossible to split a conscience perhaps
@@Minsleif ye it would be really interesting if there were three goddesses in one nation instead of two this actually could explain furina acting like such a childes or a brat she gave so much younger sister vibes
i think we actually do know who the suspicous fontaine man in sumeru is, we saw him in the background when we first met furina, specifically when she was spewing that whole "ofc i knew you were coming i am a god" spiel implying he snitched on us to her
The Fontaine Archon Quest writing's the best so far and I think we will meet the abyssal whale in the end of Fontaine quest since Hoyoverse already drop an easter egg about "It" in the Overture Teaser when Freminet falls into the water.
Great video as always! This will be really useful in a few months if I need a refresher on the Archon Quest. And your theories are really fun! I hope some of them stick
What I'm more intrigued after act 2, is that for over 20 years, many people were wrongly accused of being behind from the serial disappearance cases. We could assume they were released and heavily compensated for the wrong accusations, but we don't know if most of them are even alive or not. That could've been a question to ask Neuvie at the graveyard.
Wait so from what I concluded, it could be that the oratrice is run by the power of the gnosis which answers how people’s belief is turned into power, and since the gnosis is a power from celestia and childe had ‘it’ in him,an abyssal something, it could be the reason as to why he was declared guilty
yeah, I'm wondering if the It that he awakened might be what is causing the waters to rise? and that he carries sin in him and that's why he was declared guilty? idk
your theories always blow my mind, honestly. I was also wondering about those 3 thrones and your idea kinda makes sense. can't wait to see what else might come in the next updates ^^ and I still hope we will help out beloved Childe XD he doesn't deserve to die just now...not like this tbh
the name callas jump scared me. I think it was a reference to Jean Callas, the man who inspired Voltaire's Treatise on Toleration. He was falsely accused of his son's murder, and the entire family was punished. Much like the Callas in Genshin, everyone suffered. The names of Fontaine people can tell you a lot about them, i guess!!!
Neuvillete is probably one of Elynneas siblings. Since the melusines (the furry creatures) stated he visits there quite frequently. And the Elyneas stated it has many blood relatives bc they were born from a mother. Therefore, Neuvillete as one of the people sitting on the three thrones is unlikely. This is my theory tho.
I have two things to say and these are just speculation there is no basis to what I’m saying, but I do indeed think that the that nuevillete recognizes the foul legacy transformation do to his decision to hit my baby right as he started transforming and far fetched but he might know Skirk personally and Furina’s whole inside personality personality might be a reference to the whole masquerade of the guilty or to be more specific, the masquerade part hiding her true emotions to keep up her act
I like your theory, really good work! Also, I wonder about Arlecchino, is she the 10th fatui or not? If she is, well we destroyed La Ashes with 3 elements, now We have 5 elements and It isnt wise for her to fight with us, instead be with us maybe? We should see the boss fight in 4.2 so Idk who will the boss be. Also, If Arlecchino the 4th Fatui, since the way Childe and Wanderer speaks about Capitano he should be first in that theory but It doesnt make any sense to me the 10th Seat is empty or not revealed since it is not a high number seat. So what do you think? Will we see some other fatui to take the gnosis and fight w us?
I think the "Do You Believe In Rapture" achievement at 4:18 in the video is a reference to 'bioshocks' city of Rapture, another underwater city, although I see your point of view on this equally valid
love the triplet theory!! i think another twin story wouldn't be that fun as we already have that with the electro archon. i am so excited to see more of Furina. she is such an intresting character.
i loooveed fontaine! neuvillette was my absolute favorite, hes mysterious, but his past events with navias father and past opinions on humans just make his character so interesting. also the heavy implications that hes the hydro dragon?? hes awesome
The Rule of Three was also mentioned in the Annapausis quest. It was mentioned by the tiny oceanid. I noticed that Fontaine quests, map exploration, etc. has several repeat instances of threes it’s very subtle hint by Hoyo
what is furina was the one who judges and neuvillette was the actual hydro archon but it was planned to be this way 😱 (I couldn’t find a gnosis nor a vision on either of them)
I most curious about furina's eyes and her problem with oceanids are flew away from fontaine and died. Maybe that fontainian man in sumeru will seen in the next patch maybe like archon quest the 4 or 5 , maybe because fatui is something
Theory time and possible spoiler warning: So whatever Child woke up in the Abyss appeared to him like a giant whale/whale like monster and it entered his body. Do you know what else seems to come from the abyss (and here comes a bit of a spoiler), Elynas, who we meet at the end of the Melusine Worldquest. She stated that before her “mother” gave her a body she was floating all alone in the vast dark universe. And she wasn’t the only one that her mother gave bodies to. All those other beings are stated to be from the same place as her. And when Jakob Ingold drank Elynas’ blood he became an iniquitous baptist, so he gained powers from the Abyss be drinking her blood. So maybe beings from the abyss just need a body to appear in Teyvat an the “it” in Child just adapted to it’s new body and is about to appear. And to spin this even further, maybe those beings from the abyss are some kind of outer gods (Cthulhu style) and that’s why celestia doesn’t approve of them, as they might be powerful enough to end their reign and as such harnessing their power is forbidden and that might be exactly what happened in Khaenri’ahn
Really loved the archon quest, and the speculations you added were intriguing. I just hope they don't stretch the shit out of this arc with a lot of fillers and wooooords lol.
0:46 I’m a bit confused wasn’t the «Truth amongst the Pages of Purana» changed to «Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame rises» I think it was even changed in the chinese translation too, so not a mistranslation but just a change of translation, not complaining if we get another Sumeru’s archon quest tho
i looked into this and it seems like it's actually not a mistranslation! I think people just mixed the two titles together because akasha/pulses and purana are very distinct.
I think the Truth among the pages of Puranas = Akasha pulses, the kalpa flames rises. It is basically the same a title closer to the CN title version of "Truth amongst the pages of Puranas" ... seems like it was outdated and they changed it idk And for yoyr theory at the end ? Wow I absolutly believe in it. There is no coïncidences in Genshin. There is this recurring theme of duality in fontaine with some characters. Layla awake/layla sleeping. Beelzebul and Baal, Barbatos and nameless bard. Rhukadevatta and Nahida etc... And also the 3 moons sisters, the 3 hooded figures that reign over Celestia in the manga, the 3 Creatures painting in Inazuma... Is fontaine Following this route with the Erennyes? Lyney/Lynette/Freminet Furina/The Oratrice/Neuvillette. Furinas inspirations and that one achivement when you unlock the hydro statue of the 7 with traveller. "The land of fair Springs" idk you might be into something here. Great video overall, thank you for the hard work !!
When you talked about Teyvat being flipped upside down it reminded me of the summertime event that we had, where Idiya and the others said it felt like the bottle world was flipped "upside down" which could be a connection
You noted that the people who owe the Northland Bank money are from the same organization Vacher ran. That would mean the Fatui indirectly financed the disappearances. Could be part of why Childe was declared guilty. Also, to offer a possible answer as to how the Oratrice would know something that would potentially justify Childe's guilt? Well, if water holds memories, and all water flows to the fountain, then theoretically the Oratrice has a massive amount of knowledge.
I think, when we first got to fontain and Furina said "My dear people, rich and poor, those with cup in hand and those with nothing at all, raise your glass in celebration! If you dont have one, then just raise your hand in liue." and the traveler notes no one is holding a glass I think maybe the glass stands for a crime or 'sin'
I knew it there were three Hydro Archons, just like how Lyney, Lynette and Freminet represent them. Egeria was summoned to Ka'enriah, the second one became the Oratrice, the third one is "the mascot" Furina. It's just like Makoto and Ei, nobody knows there were two archons.
In addition to this i think the name of the previous hydro archon is Egeria.. she is also the voice we can hear at the beginning of the overture (after ferimet) trailer of fontaine... There is also something mentioned regarding about "egaria's era" in the game i forgot where i found it tho... From what I remember the statement was "in egeria's era it was......" It's not the actual statement but that's what i can remember
My Theorie for the Guilty verdict is that Childe is a Fatui and was directly involved in the Money part in Fontaine, since he more or less directly funded the research that was dissolving the Girls it could be argued that he had a hand in it as it is uncertain if the research could have continued in that matter without the most likely sizeable loan for the Fatui Bank who Childe is an Active agent for. So it's more of a Guilty by association and less a guilty by action
Small correction, Nahida didn't say "Furina" has authority over the final verdict, she said "Focalors" does, as the archon. I know it's like.. Well who cares? Same same. But hoyo has mixed up things before. Inazuma and "Baal" for example. So what if Focalors is actually trapped in the oratrice and is still archon and her sibling is just running the show... Maybe seeing things through furina's eye? Which is why Furina is at Every. Single. Trial? Kinda crazy theory but point is that'd line a distinction between furina and focalors. So far furina has not stepped in to say anything final about any trial, and nobody has asked if she wants to. And why would they bother, when even Neuvillette is overruled by the oratrice.. The oratrice, which has supreme authority on the final verdict. So.. what if the oratrice is "Focalors" that Nahida told us about?
I might possibly be wrong but the Fontainian who eavesdrop our very precious conversation with Dehya was the one who informs furina about our arrival in fontaine... This was "shown" to us while furina was taking high and mighty and this guy was bowing behind the curtains towards furina. I hope we get more explanation of this NPCs reason for being stationed in Sumeru
ALSO ALL THE 5 STAR FONTAINE CHARACTERS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH 3 like lyney want to be in a team with 3 PYRO CHARACTERS including him, neuvillette need 3 REACTIONS to do the most damage
The archon quest was so good I can't wait for the next installment. But I keep thinking about the private owned mechs. Traveler and navia were basically ambushed, by a private owned mechs, in front of the court building nonetheless, but I don't recall the authority went to an investigation about it? Or it was mentioned but I just don't remember lol.
@genesisofthebetween I know. What I mean is, did the authorities ever conduct any investigation about the chaos that happened literally in front of their court building?
Maybe furina has a horn, as seen on the moon sisters, and that's how she keeps her hat on so sideways Edit: this is not a serious theory i just think it'd be funny
I'm not too convinced that the Oratrice knows anything about Childe, tbh. I think Childe getting arrested is more likely to be part of Arlecchino's grander plot for the Gnosis, as it's a very public display of both the archon being wrong -again- and that the Oratrice might be fallible, as it just disagreed with the Chief Justice for the first time in history. If Furina's power is based off people's belief in the justice system, what better than to shake that faith in a very theatrical way? I think Lyney did something to the Oratrice while he was inspecting it. Perhaps his story about hearing a voice was a lie, or a half truth. Maybe he still did hear a voice, but he tampered with the device somehow to either incriminate Childe, or feed it additional information on him for it to give the verdict it did. Childe is, after all, no stranger to being the fall-guy for the Harbingers, and Arlecchino getting him arrested for her plot is no different than Signora throwing him under the bus in Liyue.
one thing to point out, marcel didn't have hypersensitivity because of consuming sinthe, it was because during trial he drank water from the primordial sea to prove he cant dissolve himself

Also, we kinda do know who the one from Sumeru was. In the first few shots with Furina, we see a man who looks almost the same as him give a bow with Furina in the shot, as she explains how she knew when the Traveler would arrive in Fontaine. Though someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
While i do like the theory, i hope that this isnt the case. Imo it'll basically be ei and makoto 2.0
Tbh this also came to my mind
Or just nahida and nekuradia 3.0 I'll still like the theory if it plays out well emotionally and we get an actual cutscene of what events took place!

@@justacat5069where did you get that emoticon from??
To add up to the three sisters
- always that we have seen chairs (like adeptus table in lyue or the chais in the time stop place in sumeru) those chais had owners so those three thrones must have an owner
-the justice has also a rule of three (judge, jury and executioner) so maybe:
The executioner was the one who fought in the archon war and died in sumeru
The judge is the one in the machine
And jury is focalor
YES!!! agreed!!!
Then why pull on Furina if you don’t like her. Dude this was just two out of 6 part of the archon quest. The whole thing of Fontaine is duality, so there’s more to Furina than meets the eye.
So dumb.
@@tropicthndrEven though there are oceans and lakes in Teyvat, it wont be possible because Fontaine is on different levels, they have 2 waterfalls around their nation to avoid the rising sea levels which is why you can dive so deep, it would also be too much work to make underwater regions everywhere though it would be cool
This is the only reason I could think of for why you can swim really deep in Fontaine but not other nations
Lyney's story quest of good too. Recommend to do it right away after you completed Act1. It feels more relatable while it still fresh.
To be fair, I did see lots of inspiration from Ace Attorney in the trial cutscenes.

Just FYI, the "Do you believe in rapture" achievement is a reference to Bioshock, whose main city is called Rapture. Note that the achievement title doesn't say "Do you believe in THE Rapture". However due to Ryan's paranoria of outsiders and traitors, he slowly became a tyrant leading to a Civil War

Furina just gave him the job to watch out for the Traveller so she could prepare a very good entrance like challenge the traveller.

what makes me anxious about childe’s vision being in our inventory is not how the other characters ended up dead, but that these quest items have all been permanent so far. why do we keep childe’s vision [permanently]….? doesn’t he need it back? we basically promised to see each other again to give it back, but it’s… possibly permanently in our inventory? as a childe simp i am stressed 😫

Girl I love the way you say names! Could listen to you read the entire Teyvat’s landmarks anyday
Excellent theory about the power of 3, relating the 3 thrones and the 3 moon sisters! I haven't seen anyone mention this yet
Furina might've merged with her twin. Like how the Oceanid had a hive mind with those women. If the triplet is there, she's maybe the oratrice.
or maybe it’s possible that egeria is the one who got sacrificed into the oratrice? people have been speculating two possibilities on who egeria might be.
1. Egeria = Lord of Amrita which was the old hydro archon
Spoilers in relation to the Narzissenkreuz world quest:
There is also the curious comment by Ann about "the rule of three" while clearing the quests. This strengthens the triplets conjecture assuming that this is where that rule came from all the way during the old times.

*the guy we saw in sumeru is shown the time the traveler asks how furina knew he was coming
he's hydro archon's informent
*Neuvillette doesn't have a vision so he's either an archon or the hydro dragon
a theory that Arlechino setup the whole Lyney and Lynette backstory
now you might ask why she didn't just adopt them when they were orphans, the answer to that is simple
there is no good without bad, the worse you experience the better the things that come after feel
doing things this way got her their fealty, a great soldier is a soldier that doesn't question his superior even more so twists reality for them.
Absolutely love the new archon quest and this is probably the first patch that gives me this kind of excitement towards new chapters
16:35 the dude looking at us is the same guy who told furina about the fact that we were going to fountaine, he shows up close to her
My thoughts on the "Notable things"
1. I'm surprised you missed it, the side eye-ing Fontaine man is Furina's informant who told her about our arrival in Fountaine resulting in her dramatic entrance at the start
2. This "It" has made Childe one of the most important characters for the entire story as "It" is a mystery power of some sort that can contain/Stop abyssal erosion as mentioned by Dainsleif that it should've been impossible for Halfdan to still retain his sense of self without "It"
Act2
Nuvilette's definitely the hydro Dragon Lord we've been waiting for.
When we first met her she immediately lied. She said "Let me give you a toast" and she never gave me any form of bread.
😢
Thank you for posting this! I just finished both Acts and appreciated the recap! I agree that this one was quite engaging!

16:28 I'm pretty sure we see him bowing to Furina after she says that she knows "a lot about the traveler" during Furina's first scene.
I love when minsleif uploads because i love a good recap so i can understand the story better
I think the "Do You Believe In Rapture" achievement at 4:18 in the video is a reference to 'bioshocks' city of Rapture, another underwater city, although I see your point of view on this equally valid
the guy from act 1 in sumeru most likely works for furina and thats how she knew we were coming

I was absolutely shocked when playing the part at 15:20 !
I was not expecting genshin to go this dark…
this fontaine quest was pretty dark like serial killers and people devolved into water this was dark
Theory time and possible spoiler warning:
So whatever Child woke up in the Abyss appeared to him like a giant whale/whale like monster and it entered his body.
Ok I officially LOVE you now after that BOMB theory you told us😍
Really loved the archon quest, and the speculations you added were intriguing.
I was waiting to hear your input on the Fontaine archon quest so far it now makes me all the more hype!
I think the Truth among the pages of Puranas = Akasha pulses, the kalpa flames rises.
It is basically the same a title closer to the CN title version of "Truth amongst the pages of Puranas" ... seems like it was outdated and they changed it idk
And for yoyr theory at the end ? Wow I absolutly believe in it. There is no coïncidences in Genshin.
There is this recurring theme of duality in fontaine with some characters. Layla awake/layla sleeping. Beelzebul and Baal, Barbatos and nameless bard. Rhukadevatta and Nahida etc...
And also the 3 moons sisters, the 3 hooded figures that reign over Celestia in the manga, the 3 Creatures painting in Inazuma... Is fontaine Following this route with the Erennyes?
Lyney/Lynette/Freminet
Furina/The Oratrice/Neuvillette.
Also, your theory at the ending makes a lot of sense. Fontaine is looking pretty bleak and depressing when it comes to the story so far
If you dont have one, then just raise your hand in liue." and the traveler notes no one is holding a glass
I think maybe the glass stands for a crime or 'sin'
Or maybe egeria is the 2nd of the triplets??
Lord Amrita
Egeria
Furina
32:18 This blew my mind! We aren't even around there at the end of the quest... I can't believe I keep missing this kind of thing!
8:57 great cut. It really did schock me right in that moment
34:21 also on albedo’s demo theres a scene when we saw him falling from upside down mondstat
The archon quest was so good I can't wait for the next installment.
But I keep thinking about the private owned mechs. Traveler and navia were basically ambushed, by a private owned mechs, in front of the court building nonetheless, but I don't recall the authority went to an investigation about it? Or it was mentioned but I just don't remember lol.
true it was left unsolved...or they may attack again in another act...
They were Marcel/Vacher’s meks
@genesisofthebetween I know. What I mean is, did the authorities ever conduct any investigation about the chaos that happened literally in front of their court building?
Maybe furina has a horn, as seen on the moon sisters, and that's how she keeps her hat on so sideways
Edit: this is not a serious theory i just think it'd be funny
