As much as I would've love to see the Ford Carousel became reality, I'm way more interested on the development of the 3rd gen Econoline, aka the Nantucket project. Sadly there isn't any development photos of the 3rd gen Econoline ANYWHERE, not even other American vans during development.
The Carousel is very interesting, great development story. What makes the 3rd Gen Econoline so interesting to you? Thanks for watching and commenting! It might possibly have "flopped", too radical a change kind of like the Chrysler Airflow. America wouldn't be ready for it, it might have worked after the second oil shortage.
Thanks so much for watching! What do you think about the worlds first minivan?
To me Ford should've given Lee Iacoca the green light to create the Ford Minivan with a V8 in it.
Thats a shame it would've been cool to have a V8 powered Minivan.

Wow! Another great upload. Loving this type of content!
Cheers
Glad you enjoy it!
Everyone knew about the Ford minivan. Iacocca wrote about it in his autobiography back in the 1980s.

FORD CREATED THE FIRST MINIVAN, NOT CHRYSLER...but the oil obsessed ARABS said NO!
...That's why we never gotten the Ford minivan of the 1970s.
