A.R. Gurney, the playwright, is from my Hometown. His plays often have Buffalo, NY imprinted all over them. I've never seen this one. I HAVE seen Gurney's play "The Dining Room". I highly recommend! I need to see more of his plays ASAP, and I can't wait for this. I saw The Dining Room with my wonderful, Late Mom ( R.I.P.) in Buffalo. She had seen, "Love Letters" a couple years prior, with my late Dad ( R.I.P.). She was missing him when we saw The Dining Room, as it reminded her of Seeing Love Letters with my Dad. I look forward to seeing this play that my folks had both enjoyed together, and "hanging out" with them in this way! My Dad's Fam goes way back in Buffalo. Buffalo is very proud of A.R. Gurney.

I love that he mentions fate and says he was dreaming of Ali before they got Love Letters.
Personally no one would be better at Love Letters than RJ and Stef. But I'm sure they're great too.

they look good together. she's elegant and down to earth. he looked good against Farrah but that seemed more glamorous and Hollywoodish. hope relations in his family better. read his daughter's
book years ago so sad all the relationship breakage between her and the brother with the father. Griffin always seems angry at him. hope things to smooth out someday if not already.

Is Ryan O'Neal acting out like that just for fun, or is he really that fragile?!
He's either playing on some inside personality joke or he's truly grown into a bitter and disappointed old man!
Even Ali McGraw was making uncomfortable looks at him.

+Le Huy-Anh Well, he brightens up and acts normal again in the last third of the clip.

+Le Huy-Anh huh? No way! I was finding Ryan to be very refreshing, and real & funny! Reminds me of some very funny, creative people I know. It's just kind of a sophisticated ( not pure silliness), intellectual sense of humor. Not bitter at all: perhaps a little bit of world-weary wisdom going on here. Who doesn't have that after a while if they're paying attention ? Ryan and Ali are both delightful! Anyway, they are playing in my area soon and I can't wait! I'll BE there! :)

Just saw the show and was extremely disappointed. Very difficult to hear and Ryan just raced through his lines. Where's the fire?
I did not expect profanity and was not the heart rendering play I thought it would be. Don't waste your money on this sleeper.

The host laughs way too much, and too often at things that aren't funny or silly. I'm sorry, but it got to the point of being obnoxious.
Interesting that Ali didn't go along with his scenario, that due to the success and notoriety of "Love Story" tons of young females in 1970 were determined to duplicate the "Ali look", to which she remarked, "They were?!"
In her autobiography and in interviews Ali has been quite open about her addictions, alcohol and sex, that she's overcome, in part due to her stay(s) at the Betty Ford Center. So when the host here requests cocktails for the stars he should have let Ali know non-alcoholic versions were available of what the bartender was preparing.
Ryan's anecdote about he and Farrah being overlooked because of Paris Hilton's proximity provided some humor.
While this occurred four years ago, 2015, it would be interesting and helpful, just below Sun Sentinel, to have attendance / box-office figures re how successful, or not successful, "Love Letters" was in this market and with these leads.
