*Great lightweight shelter. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s love how it blocks the light from outside. It was a pain to open the first time but now that it is broke in goes up easy..*
Great idea! Thanks for sharing. For all the simpletons complaining about the wiring not being shown, two wires people and the polarity doesn't even matter. Just connect two wires to a 12v source
Instead of running the wires to your flasher battery, I bought those LED lights that are usb powered. Plug it into a phone charger power bank. Going on year 4 with zero issues.
@@lifeoutdoors7095 Oh I see. I used mine in an Eskimo Fatfish so I had to make them removable. I just put tabs of Velcro on the rope lights and then put tabs of Velcro on the hub poles. Take down and setup is less than a minute. Now I have them zip tied to the center support of my Otter lodge and I anticipate they will last a while.
Sorry about that. The wiring is quite simple. The lights have a round plug (like the kind a laptop might have). One side is connected to the lights already. The other side of the plug has two wires coming out of it. Attach them to the battery. Then just connect the plug together.
I have a leftover light roll from another project and would like to use them to light my shack. Any help finding the connectors I’d need would be great. Thank you!
I had a box of chargers from old electronics I had. I went through them until I found one that fit. I'm sure they sell them on amazon, or even a store like Best Buy.
Yes, it's not too hard to do. The main thing you need is an ice fishing transducer, and case with a battery to connect it to. I made a video showing just that. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/iWsCjISyzE8/w-d-xo.html

This is exactly what I was trying to figure out how to do, thanks. The double female adapter for power is brilliant!
I know, right? Its been working flawlessly. I've been loving it.

Exactly. It's not that complicated people. Thanks for commenting.
Polarity does matter with LEDs. Not that anything will happen but your lights won't work if not connected right
I love how simple this is. I've been trying to get ideas but these guys make things way to complicated and drag out the video. Thanks man.

@@W1badgers hey that's a good idea. Where did you get them
I have used LED rope lights in my shack for years now. They really do hold up over time.
Good to know! The biggest problem I found is that the glue doesn't stick very well. That's Why I tie strap them up too.

I was looking for light and this video popped up!
Thanks for taking the time to make this post.
Thanks for watching. I hope it helped.
I think it would help to get a closer look your wiring set up. 3 seconds isn’t enough

that'''s a great idea
Well, that's one way to do it...
Nice..suscribed
Any problems with the ashesive on the light strips?
No problems yet. I also put tie straps on them to make sure they stayed up in case they started to peel off.
How long did the battery last?
I've yet to run out of battery
thank you for now doing a handheld close-up of your face for 20mins while not showing anything else like all the other burger youtuber.
Thanks you for the comment. I try to get right to the point.
This is a just horrible video. Even you didn’t seem excited when you said “this is the exciting part” lol
Is there any thing you have to do to use ur fish finder off your boat for ice fishing
