I don't know why the first thing I want to say is that sister you are looking awesome. You are so beautiful. You are literally shining. I believe it's the glory of God heavily resting upon you. There is an anointing made available for you to do this. And when ever you sit and start to record, that anointing comes on you. A beautiful woman with a heart of gold. I forgive easily, but i don’t forget.. sometimes the thought of what happens creeps in again and i find myself feeling some type of way again. Still praying to God to give me the strength to forget .. Like you said “not take things to heart”
Good talk. The Holy Spirit can’t be in me and I still struggle with unforgiveness. When I find it difficult to forgive someone who has wronged me, I check my prayer life and my standing with God. It means I’m far from God. The HolySpirit is my default setting when it comes to forgiveness. Harder than it sounds, we’ve been subjected to a life of forgiveness because God constantly forgives us. Who are we to bear grudges when we are also not perfect to our Heavenly Father.
I think we usually put the Forget before forgiving such that we try to overlook the whole event and it hardens our heart and mind. It begins to develop as the spirit of hatred or anger and until we treat it, it affects us and those around us. This was me and I didn't even realize I was avoiding it until I was talking to a friend about someone else and he asked "Tosin have you really forgiven her?". Truly we are spirit beings and it takes only the Holy Spirit to help us live in our true nature. I also read the book "Heal before you deal" by Pastor Kingsley okonkwo and it opened my eyes to more things. Forgiveness to me, starts from the spirit and then attacks the heart and mind from this we one can truly be happy and content.
