Great review, terrific playing. It looks like a PCB selector switch, which appears to be the only major concession for cost in the hardware. Perhaps this is not that huge a deal considering we see this even at the Premium level for Ibanez.
I think it will be difficult for Donner to get people to spend that much, no matter how good it is. They will 3x as much on a Fender that probably isn't any better.
I think Donner should stick to the less than $300 concept, there are way too many options at $600 especially on the used market. I would have used a different name as well as Donner is known for cheap budget gear and this is kind of out of that category.
Here's the real if this is 600.00 to 700.00 ....I have to be realistic as the reality goes. If I'm spending 6 to 7 hundred n. I'm buying a fender or PRS or a sire simply for resale alone . All great guitars and I've owned a couple of Donners ..a great guitar. But when they get to close in value .,you have to be realistic in today's market ...long term investment ...fender ,PRS ,sire are truely a better investment or even Halen Bentley is a better overall investment and very good quality .. just a thought
That’s my mission to review gear to my best ability so you can make an informed purchase. I said this will give Ibanez and other brands a run for their money given the specs but I won’t tell you to buy a Donner over an Ibanez or PRS, that’s up to you! And like you mentioned if you care about resale value that’s also a good point to consider.
You're a fantastic guitarist. You sold me on this guitar. Rock On!
@@gordonray3091 thank you for the kind words!
@@Music-for-Miles I just wish I could play like that.🙂
The fretboard looks really well done. Sometimes baked maple comes out looking like normal maple.

The trem is also a huge upgrade since it is polished stainless steel, hipshot's equivalent is around $180 just for the trem.
You sure have your picking struming down, my friend ... nice

Thanks!
Nice review!
You are the best guitar around here. can i learn your amp?
That song was sick. Wish this was 24 frets
That green is pretty!
Fantastic review. Thanks for pulling it apart. Do you happen to remember if the pickups are wax potted?
Yes they are! Very nice quality too!
@ thank you! Getting one for $345 with your discount code is bonkers! What a deal! And they ship it for free!
me recomendarías comprarlo al precio actual?
100% it’s $394 right now
Is the 2 point trem a Babicz trem??? ¡¥¡
It is not it’s a Donner branded stainless steel term.

Good point! Brand recognition is a big part of people forking out the big bucks. I was hoping my video could show how high the quality is

Good point! Kind of how ESP and LTD did it or Fender and Squire!
Simple: get an Ibanez rg470pb instead
That’s a nice guitar but way different aesthetic and specs this is closer to the AZ series
@@michaelsj7968 true but imo thats a way better guitar both specs and looks wise
thats why I said get the 470pb
Other colors…please!
@@eglide73 the 470pb imo has one of the best colors for any rg
