I watched another video before I watched this one, I wish I would have watched this one first. Thank you both for taking the time and energy to help out. Much appreciated.
You the man. I had never pulled one before and sure as hell didn't want to pull the tire. Pulled it from the top in less than 30 minutes by doing exactly what you did. Thanks.
You saved me a lot of money. I went from the top and it wasn't that bad. I have a 2007 Trailblazer and I used a 15 mm deep socket, 13 mm deep socket, and a 8 mm regular socket.
ive replaced about 10 plus starters on this exact series of chevys, i have it down to a consistant 1 hr job, and thats with no stopping or lolly gagging......hardest part in my opinion is getting a socket on the upper bolt and reinstalling the new starter there just isnt a whole lot of room to mess with but as long as you dont get angry or short tempered u can easily get it in place with a cpl attempts and wallah
Thank you for this help!! I followed this and it took me an hour and half but it was my first time ever working on a vehicle and i had 2 of 4 kids running around!
This video was extremely helpful. The only thing I did differently was use a stubby ratchet, which rotated much further than a standard length ratchet.
Great video, thanks. I had a problem with the nut on the starter getting it on so i i used a long extention and a socket but wrapped some black tape around the socket and the nut so it wouldn't fall off. It worked like a charm. Hope this was helpful. Peace
I found the reason mines went was do to driving in the rain and going over puddles. Every fukn time i go over a puddle the starter dies as if they don't understand to create a starter that don't expose the wires to the water... I hope this comment is helpful. Also check the -/+ terminals on battery as the screw is a failure and will strip or come loose which would cause that click when you try to start the car...
Thank you for your video. how you knew the starter need to replace, after turn off my envoy for a moment then I want to turn it on it doesn't work, no crank no starter, but inmediately cuold work it again, thank for your tip.
So the lil hook on the loopend of the wire goes towards the starter? I put mine on and I think the hook on the loop that is on the wire goes in a lil groove that is on it. I dont know for sure and would like to know so I can turn it around if I need to.

Couldn't have done it to my '03 TB without your video. The Haynes manual wanted me to go in through the wheel well - far more difficult. Thank you.

Working on my 2005 GMC Envoy and i can't seem to reach the second bolt (NUT)...Any tips, hints??? Love the video and the detail explaination
I used an extension and 15 mm deep socket, and a light.

It happened to me also. It turns out to be the solenoid.

At the end you spoke of a clip Im confused. On the wires ther are loops. they have like a hook.
