Hello Claire, You were the first floss tuber I watched and I love you so. All your project are so wonderful. Look forward to your videos every time. Take care.
How fun that you got to teach kids how to cross stitch! My daughter has been after me to teach her, so just last week I got her started on some plastic canvas and a simple design. I decided to just teach her the X by X method, too - it seems to make more sense for a super beginner. 👍🏻
It was great to catch up with you today. Your retreat & round robin sound like such fun! I'll be excited to see what each gal decided for her RR. Best wishes for your class with the kids. They will have a blast with you. Until next time, Stitch on!!
Hiya. I have watched you from day one and I’m sorry I don’t tend to comment much. I am always watching on my tv whilst stitching! I was chatting to our mutual friend Sydney when your video came up on my Watch Later list. I love all your projects. You enabled me big time! I decided to splurge on one of those beautiful project bag and grime guard sets from woodandcat. Thank goodness I saw your video in time to be able to use the coupon code. I hope the kids enjoyed you teaching them how to cross stitch. You may have inspired a few to take up a lifetime hobby. 😺 Happy stitching. Kerry 💜
Yay I finally got to your video! Love your ‘M’ mania. Great progress on your other WIPs. I’m so glad you like your project bag! I’m so thrilled! Take care and talk soon. XO
Hi Claire, I was thinking about old stories that you were asking for, so here goes. My husband's grandmother grew up in a town called Alice in South Africa. When her mother asked her to make a cup of tea, she would have to go down to the well to draw the water. When she returned to the house she would have to make a fire in the coal stove. Put the water in the kettle, on the stove, wait for it to boil before the tea could be made. OH, by the way, it wasn't a teabag. How long do you think this process took? We live in "instant" society...... press the switch and the light comes on, what about instant coffee!!! That makes me think every time I make tea.
Love your video, Claire! Really cool projects and great job! Very exciting to see our things on your channel :) We see there's not so much time to use your discount coupon, so we'll prolong it till the end of July. Thank you!
Trying to catch up with you. I lost all my subscriptions - aaargh!!! I am still trying to re-subscribe to everyone again. TWs Mermaid is stunning - can't wait to see it finished and framed. The fabrics you used for Red and Sabrina are so perfect. Beautiful bags. Best wishes.
RE: your Pyrex! I love this stuff. As you face your shelves - right side, second shelf down -- "the blue stuff" in the middle stack. I have an oval covered casserole in the 'white on blue background' pattern that I got from a dear neighbor as a wedding gift that I adore. It's time to put it up on a shelf and stop using it as it would break my heart if I broke it after all these years.
Great visit with you. Not a fan of instant coffee- to each his own. I love your pieces. Great gifts too. Can’t wait to hear how your session with the kids at school goes. I know most of them will probably love it. Thanks for sharing and happy stitching 🧵
Hi Claire, I to am a fan of good old instant coffee. I do not see the need to waste $6 on a beverage that is only just large enough and usually too bitter for my taste. Give me Mochonna French roast any old day. Your mermaid is looking beautiful I have her in my pattern collection but have the storyteller as my TW Wip and I am think I might have to pull it out and give it some love.
Just think in 15 years we could be watching a flosstuber and they will pull out their oldest piece of cross stitch and it will be the butterfly or the fish.
hey so can you explain to me: old pyrex, the white interior like you have on your shelf, I've heard you're not supposed to use it anymore to cook with? What is the reason for this?
So the process of making the original opal or white Pyrex involved the use of lead. Studies have apparently found it is safe to use and that there is no lead released when used for regular domestic use. But it does mean that the manufacturing process is no longer viable so it’s one of the reasons it’s no longer in production.
@@PyrexStitches Ahh okay yes I was always wondering. I find so much of it and I love it and fully intended to use itso I'm glad to know. Wonderful wips as always, loving seeing the progress and I've love seeing your work grow - I've been following along since the beginning!
So great to see you again Claire, speaking of Pyrex, I absolutely love your beautiful collection and I wanted to ask you if you ever did stitch your Pyrex Love piece. I just got the pattern and I’ve just started mine. 😁
Yes I did!! I stitched that back in 2015 which was the centenary year of Pyrex and added those dates to the piece. It hangs on my living room wall where I can also see my collection from in the dining room. It’s a fun stitch, I love the colours. It inspired me to stitch a couple of other Pyrex themed things like phone covers and I even charted a different Pyrex design for another collector to stitch (the incredibly rare and highly prized Lucky In Love). Hope you enjoy stitching it!
Pyrex Stitches Yes I am, going to look for it now, also I would love to find a different font then what’s used in the pattern, something similar to the Pyrex logo. Can’t wait to see yours! Thank you again Claire!

Love that pattern - it’s called Snowflake Garland. My mum has the same blue bowls so it’s a personal favourite 💙❄️
Good to see you! Your Miras are looking gorgeous. I hope stitching at school went well! You may inspire new lifelong stitchers. You never know!
Great video! Lovely to see you again! Stunning WIPs!! TFS ~chelle 🌻
Thank you! 🌼
You are brave! I would be terrified to teach that many 7 year olds. I hope it goes well for you!
much love,
amy
It went surprisingly well! Hard work but really rewarding :)
Hey Claire! So wonderful to "catch up" again after meeting in person! 😀
We’re blessed to have you too 😁❤️
