The food looks yummy! One of my favorite campfire meals is thinly sliced potatoes, combined with sliced onion, add my salt and pepper, then tightly wrapped up in tin foil and laid in or near the fire. I add 3-4 ice cubes into it so I don't need butter. The ice cubes melt, cooking the taters and onions in their own steam!

Here is an awesome campfire recipe you gotta try. Take 2 sheets of aluminum foil, about 12 to 15 inches and double them up...spread a good layer of Becel or butter, add mushrooms, green peppers(any color) ,onions( whatever veggies you like)add little spices, lay fish filets on top,add more veggies on top and little more spices...add 2 more double sheets of aluminum on top, seal all edges good and tight...place on hot coals for about 7 to 10 minutes, flip and the same.
You can do the same with cube potatoes, onions, spices...ect. It's gotta be my all time favorite camp meal( if you have steak, its a bonus) its called Lake & Steak..yummy😍
    Enjoy👍

What is my favorite Campfire food? Impossible to say because if i can cook it at home I can cook it on a Campfire. Some of the simplest things are a baked potato ( wrap a potato in aluminum foil and place in the hot coals for about a hour) and a nice steak and some asparagus spears grilled and a good tossed salad. But one easy cook for situations like what she did is put some hamburger into some heavy-duty foil along with some cubed potato, chopped carrot and onion plus some seasonings. Wrap it up and place in the coals. I prepare these meal "kits" at home in advance. Grab one and put in my knapsack and head out for a hike. Make a Campfire and cook. Eat right out of the foil. I do bring along a fork and i always carry a knife. As to beverages lots of options but a bota bag filled with wine works nicely. Have a great day.

You’re making me HUNGRY! Yum! Ever wonder how the smoke follows you no matter where you move? Your body creates a thermal updraft that the smoke follows. If you can make a “wall” of stacked stone or even logs far enough away not to catch fire, the smoke will follow that instead of you. Another great video. Thanks!

This spot reminds me off a small access track I explored when I stayed in NS back in 1991. I explored a fair bit including the opposite side of the Lahave River at Pinehurst. There's a steel girder bridge on Veinot Rd and a short track of about 1/2 a mile veers off to the right. I remember walking past a hunting hut and it came to a dead end where I found two old car wrecks from the 60's! I cut back towards the river and came up to a hidden pond that had a layer of paper thin ice on it. It was pretty surreal hearing it snap with everystep I took around the edge. (Easy to see it on Google maps!)

I used to live up in Kenora Ontario, and bears were a huge problem in the city there too. It was very common to see humane bear traps all over the place, usually parked at apartment buildings, or similar structures. Probably because the bears get attracted by the dumpsters.

The last time I did that, I picked up 54 beer cans. I take cherry tomatoes when I go to munch on, and my army surplus foxhole shovel in case I need to dig some worms.

Good idea. Wow! That's a lot of beer cans to pick up! :(

Always looking for an easy camp meal! Thx! So, your in Canada? I'm in Ohio and don't know if we have native trout here. We do get a stray bear sometimes. I bass fish and night fish for catfish. Anyway thanks for the video and have a good day! Oh, I cast iron cook so not much help with camp meals that are quick and easy.

Put you some splashes of beer in that pan...It will bring out the flavor from those sausages and blend it into the potatoes.

Oh my god, be careful where you point your camera, your croc's were showing 😜 LMAO!
Awesome video, and so nice to see you cleaning up after all the losers who are abusing the Crown Lands. I will be doing exactly the same thing once I get moved! Have you gone back to get your "new" tent yet?
A truck camping trip to that spot would have been amazing, especially of no one comes around and you have the are all to yourself!

I haven't gotten the tent yet and now we have tons of rain. Maybe on the next sunny day I'm off, I'll wander back and see if it's still there. Someone else may have picked it up and just as well because.. I would need some thick ass gloves to be touching those dirty blankets inside of it 😂🤣😂🤣😳😳😳

Cast iron is better suited for cooking over a fire. You'll be amazed at the end product

My favorite camp fire meal:fry bacon in a cast iron skillet set cooked bacon aside add potatoes diced onion fresh garlic to pan brown all season with italian seasoning or herbed de provounce pepper to taste 1 or 2 diced jalapenos when potatoes are done return bacon to pan and wait till it becomes warm again and the crack 2 or more eggs on top cooking time your preference serve with toast off the grill and honey and butter dont forget about a gallon of coffee😂

I was so relaxed watching the grub fry up that I fell asleep. Not so bad, I got to watch you fish twice! Now I'm hungry. Lol! Great adventure. Too bad there are pigs that ruin the experience for everyone that respects the land. That was so responsible of you to pick up their trash that they should have picked up. I hope you got the tent for your troubles. Looked like a great place to camp.

@@gypsyjenna You know how demanding my work schedule tends to be! Oops! I meant "retirement" schedule; walk the dog, scratch the dog, brush the dog, take the dog to have her nails done, feed the dog...., geez, it never ends. Lol!
