    The heater should have some type of overheating coupler so you don’t burn it up. If the unit was still to hot when testing, the switch would be open and not allow ignition. If I remember correctly it is a bi metal klixon switch that pops open and after it cools it pops back in allowing current to go to ignition. The Klixon switch’s are used in air conditioning to prevent compressor burn out.

    Content idea: I'd love to see a "day in the life of Jenna" where you do your Saturday am routine, go into town, shop for groceries and supplies (don't have to go crazy with details on price per item, etc), do afternoon crap, make dinner, see how you entertain yourself at night, etc. Just an idea. You are super interesting!

    I love your videos! Just pure, simple living. Not trying to impress anyone just enjoying life. Nothing better… Who doesn’t like an outdoor shower this can help keep the moisture down in your trailer as well. If it were me I would enjoy it until I thought my lines would freeze 😂 You’re pretty smart I believe you will figure out why it’s not working outside! If you choose to use a handheld shower they sell a bag that gets warm from the sun for showering
    Try using JB WELD on your tub. It’s like putty at first but that stuff gets hard as a brick and sticks to anything. I believe it’s originally used for something to do with a car. It’s only a few dollars …

    Hey Jenna. Not sure but worth a look at that regulator for the propane. If for example I try lighting my bbq and turn on a burner to light then realize I forgot to open the propane valve the presser regulator defaults to off. So it may be possible that the regulator is shutting off on you before it lights. I have a propane fire pit that works the same. If the regulator has no back pressure in the line when you open it you will find that it won’t light. It’s a safety thing. Worth looking at. Take care.

    You can do it Japanese style by heating the water and just using a plastic cup or mug as a dipper. You won’t need a pump, 12 volt batteries or anything else that can fail. I’ve done it this way and it really works great. A 5 gallon bucket immersion heater works good as well but you would have to run the generator about 20 before your shower.

    Hi Jenna that’s a good start to your shower 🚿 🧼 project. Make sure you level out the pallet/skid and reinforce it with “footings”/ footers on the bottom of the corners etc so the pallet doesn’t “teeter totter” on you as the water erodes the dirt underneath it. You can also dig a little trench under that corner and line it with cheap rocks to encourage and direct the flow of water down the hill, again to reduce the erosion underneath the skid/pallet. Also, protect thst waterless water heater from rain/moisture etc. they are supposed to be installed indoors, so protect it from water and condensation from getting into the electrical connections. And check the corners of the eaves in the roof on that side for hornets/wasps and other insects that could sting or bite you. Every time you use it, take a broom 🧹 and sweep the pallet and “encourage” all the insects, spiders and critters away from it. For that 1 connection that doesn’t fit, there should be a coupling/fitting that can make it work at a hardware store. And check the O ring(s) in it (rubber gasket inside like a garden hose) or put an o ring gasket in it to help it prevent leaks. And to also prevent leaks use plumbers tape on the threads of all the plumbing fittings/connections. As others have suggested, you can weigh down the bottom of the curtain with almost anything to help keep it from moving in the wind (take the bottom edge and make a small flap and put rocks or weights in the flap every 6 inches or so). You can duct tape the flap with the weights in it), and you might be able to support the curtain using pool noodles with or without pvc inside the noodles at even intervals. Install the noodles vertically. You can use more than 1 curtain too, to cover the gap. For your tub, you can “line” the tub to seal the cracks with a tub lining kit. Basically it’s a gel coat kit. And on your tankless hot water heater, check to see if it has its own “pump” to push/pull water over the heating elements/coils. If it does have its own pump/pressure system, you might not need an extra pump for it; it’ll just need a constant water source like it was in your tub. Enjoy sharing your outdoor shower with the mosquitoes! Heat attracts mosquitoes 🦟 and only the female mosquitoes “bite” because they need certain proteins etc in mammalian blood (animal or human, they don’t care what or who they bite) to “feed their eggs” before they lay their eggs in standing or slow moving water sources. And Red Green is hilarious! l😂 be safe enjoy your maintenance projects (you have a never ending amount of them) but also take time to fish and camp and enjoy the outdoors too! 😊

    I don't know it's possible but maybe you could get an extra long shower hose and run it out the window and just leave the water heater on the inside. I think you can buy a valve the attaches to the bottom of the shower head so you can turn the water off while you lather up and stuff to save some water😊...

Look up and see what pressure it needs and get the right one for it or if you can read the one on your main house propane tanks out front.. Watching you “troubleshoot” is one of the most intriguing things that you share in your vids. I truly enjoy seeing your approach of trying to figure out how things work and why they don’t. I really wish more people had the patience to dig a little deeper and try and understand the products that they own, such as yourself. Im only saying this for two reasons…. It was my turn to be on call this weekend and it was a little challenging. Being on the receiving end of people’s frustration towards something that they own, but have no understanding of it gets a little overwhelming. Verbal threats, poor attitudes and hostility all focused towards the guy that showed up on the weekend pushing 70 plus hours just to help gets exhausting. You certainly are not cut from the common cloth. One of many reasons why I love watching your vids. The “on demand” water heaters are great units. I use a Rinnai tankless. I’m not familiar with your particular unit, but they do require a minimum flow of water in order to light. It’s about .5 gpm in order to light and prevent overheating. I didn’t see yours show any error code, so I would try the same application again but use a larger diameter hose to feed the unit. It just may need more flow. Give it a shot and take a vid. Let me know. Here’s to another great vid 🍻. You be safe and well and yes, you’ll definitely see me watching the next one!

    You may want to try a RV water pump. They have a built in pressure switch and will cut off when your not using water. I kinda fell like the pump you have now may give you issues if it is running a lot and Your not using the shower head. Plus the RV pump regulates the water pressure going into your water heater which may also help. Like your vids.

    The $64,000.00 qyestion: could you actually get a replacement shower to exact fit the surround inside your bathroom? Don't know the year of your trailer but that could be difficult.
    Anyway, as you probably know already, i don't think the old shower is a lost cause. Never a dull moment with Jenna!

    I use a tankless water heater as well but I do not use a pump I have 67 or 72 lb of pressure coming out of my water I would guess if you haven't figured it out I'm thinking maybe your pump is just not putting out enough pressure most of the tankless water heaters have to have a certain amount of pressure before they'll run even if yours run temporarily it may not be enough to keep it going

  • @stewartmackay
    @stewartmackay ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm just thinking, silly idea, but is it possible when you had that initial leak that you turned the gas off? The heater wouldn't work without gas, I know it sounds silly, but could it have been that? Also, I dont know how hot your sunshine is, but here on Rhodes many folk living in the countryside simply have a black bag hanging from a hook with a tap on it, attached to a shower head. Fill up the bag in the morning, let the sun heat it up and hey presto - shower.

    • @gypsyjenna
      @gypsyjenna  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, the gas was turned on. As for the solar shower, I looked into it but the bag just doesn't have enough water in it for me lol. Maybe work better for a dude with a shaved head but not for a woman needing to wash shampoo out of her hair lol 🤷‍♀️
