Love this guys lessons. excellent teacher, doesnt go off on long winded over explanations like most guys on here. No BS. just right to it. Thanks Dave !!!
I’ve been playing this song for years didn’t know till now that I’ve been playing the opening lick wrong I was very close but not right. So I watched multiple people on you tube explaining how to do it. Can’t believe how many got it wrong. Yours is the right way. I’m now a new subscriber to you’re channel
Noob here, Dave. Thank you for this excellent lesson on one of my favorites! Another song in the key of Eb that my band plays out is 'Vehicle' by the Ides of March. It never fails to fill a dance floor. People love it! Thanks again.
Thanks a million for that intro lick! It has always eluded me! P.S. In the chorus, I've been going into the C chord as a Cmaj7, then C on the last 2? beats (at "wraps around..."). I don't know if it's correct, but sounds pretty nice.
always loved this tune... ironic that Poco had two hits on the first album that came after Timothy B Schmit left the band after Poco struggled to get on the charts for years
No its a six string on the record. There is a live video where Rusty plays a twelve string on it and you can hear it is way different from the live video he plays a six string on it.
Dave's Guitar Channel maybe they just doubled the six string. It may not sound like a full 12 string but it certainly sounds a little more than a six string, at least to me.
The best lesson. Thanks for all..👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Vehicle is one of many great songs written by Jim Peterik
nice thing is that you are tuned to 432Hz. Thanks so much for the lesson
Great lesson , Thanks Dave
thanks for the video buddy!
Great lesson...thanks for posting!
Great songs, I don't know why but now I'm thinking about Bread (the band).
This song definitely has a bread feel. "Baby I'ma Want You" and "Make It With You" are similar.
Thanks Dave ! Great explanation.
You sound like a Long Islanders! (?)

Glad to have been able to help out.

I didn't know that T Smith of Eagles was the past member of POCO.
would have been nice if you explain the rift step by step, especially the strings... i did not know what string you was plucking
Thank you!
Nice job Dave
Can you do a lesson on Heart of the Matter lots of videos on it but they all leave out the Riff
Police Squad and then Naked Gun: 2 thumbs up :)
my fine sir ..there is no good tutorial for buckingham and nicks frozen love...think you might want to try tackling that great classic?
Nice lick! I’m guessing in the studio, it was played on a 12 string based on my listening to the song.
