Hey Katie, my step dad is currently going through tests to determine if he has dementia, it’s been a really hard two years and I think it’s only going to get harder. I’m also a carer for my disabled mum and I keep a lot of rescue animals so my days are quite hard, and long. Being able to get into bed and watch your videos is SO relaxing for me I don’t know what I’d do without them honestly. If you ever wonder if it’s worth it please know it’s extremely relaxing for the people watching it, often I get annoyed with people talking on videos so I mute it and just watch the videos but I love your commentary - you and your family are such lovely people. The Darker colouration around the edging when the soap is cut reminds me of a slice of bread, and I was thinking, what if you made a mould full of soap with dark edging, then cut it and put purple and brown soap swirls on it so its like PB and J toats soap? Might be cute?
This is the most beautiful soap I've ever seen, the simplicity of it but the fact its made with such luxurious ingredients, its just perfect. this is exactly what I love about soap making something that looks so simple is really a masterpiece.

Perfect timing! I have a close friend who asked me to make her some Frankincense soap because she uses the EO as part of her cancer treatment! Had no idea how to do it and thanks to you I was able to do it! My bars hit the curing rack yesterday and came out great! Wish I could show you a pic!!
Roxanne James That is a really nice thing to do for your friend . For Essential oil soap that I want to be more therapeutic ( so to say) rather then beautiful or novelty , do a hot process soap with 100% Frankincense oil before molding it . That way the soap has went thru the saponification process and it will hold the valuable properties of the essential oils ❤️

WOW!! seeing the cross section at 9:10 just... its almost exactly what id imagine the trek across the desert would look like. the frankencense on the top looks like the star, that brilliant blue is like the night sky, and the yellow base is like the desert sand!!! amazing. wonderful job :)

I think this would be the perfect Hanukkah soap. It incorporates the blue silver the white with a pinch of gold! also in the anointing oil was made with frankincense and myrrh and I think perhaps cinnamon. You could add a little drop of cinnamon to make it more Jewish. Remember though you can't incorporate all of the spices that would be against the Torah. this would make a very beautiful Hanukkah gift any mom or sister or friend would love including me! I can't wait till I start making it. It is sure to be exciting. I will be sure to design one specifically for Hanukkah. Any ideas you might have I would love to hear.
I love this soap, I had to laugh at Caleb's question today because I have one arm that doesn't bend or straighten properly and I also have 3 fingers that don't bend because of RA and OsteoArthritis.

This is so beautiful! I have such trouble with blue! I made a loaf of soap today and the blue morphed to gray. it will look ok, but not what I was trying for. I'm going to try your combo - you get a true blue. Love it. I have Klein Blue already, but don't get the deep blue out of that either.
$57.95 for 16oz!!! Damn Katie you must love that scent a lot! My question is when you sell it, will it be more expensive than the other soaps because of how much the scent is? Edit: I would rather have my elbow that doesn’t bend because you can grab stuff and bend you head to eat / drink it.
frankincense is very expensive because it's the resin from a tree that only grows in specific climates, in the Arabian Peninsula and Northern Africa, for example. It's rare and the tree takes years to mature to the point you can collect its resin (just like the rubber tree). The over-exploitation of the resin in recent years created a shortage and therefore very prices.
So pretty! I love the way you used the tears on top! Frankincense and Myrrh was never one of my favorite scents but the one time I made soap with it, and wanted to incorporate the tears so I tried grinding them up in my coffee grinder... bad idea! Those little buggers of resin seized my little machine that I thought it was a gonner! Thank goodness it was fine. Lesson learned... Don't try this at home kids! 😂
It showed up in mine too. I watch Puerto Rican videos - if you do too - then that is why; Three Kings Day is how Christmas is celebrated for over a month on the island and here on the mainland. Actually, tomorrow IS Three Kings Day & making this soap looks sooooo much easier than making dozens of pastelles!!!

id rather have fingers that cant bend, because if your elbows cant bend, how are you going to bring food or drink to your face? itd be difficult to hold without bending your fingers, but you can work around that

Hi, I am new to your channel ,but I already love it! I have a question ( not sure if you answer them),but I thought I would try. Both my daughter and I have Mica allergies which makes it very hard in the makeup/fancy soap world! What would you use in place of Mica to get a shiny effect or color?
I know it isn’t possible but I so wish you could do a Christmas countdown where you do a video a day till Christmas 🎄 tall order I know but would be incredible!!! Maybe next year? The blues and golds make me think of Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. A yellow gold soap with blue starry night top and piping would be phenomenal!

I'd want elbows that are always bent and fingers that can move freely. That way I can lean down to get my burger but have it like right there for me

The blue and gold reminded me so much of lapis lazuli. I know you did a stone/crystal series, a lapis soap would be a super pretty addition to it.
This is by far my favorite "low top" ever!
It would be interesting to see a pink and gray coloured soap with multiple gold mica lines. It would be pretty cute. Like a marble effect
