- Merry Christmas! I have been really wanting to drive this car since it launched in 2015! Values have now come down and seems a good buy?

Love my 981 2016 GT4, its not the most powerful car in the world, every journey is a sense of theatre, I love the heavy clutch and mechanical raw feel of it. Had a 991 C4S before the GT4, nice car but once the novelty had worn off so did the fun, but the GT4 has fun by the bucket full. Paid £62k (Cash buyer) for mine in April. I never bought it as an investment, bonus if it doesn't lose any money, I enjoy it to much to care!
Its the sweet spot for performance. For street driving I want something fast enough to push me back into the carbon buckets, but slow enough that I can row through some gears before hitting felony speeds!
Same. I drove other Porsches and settled on a 981 gt4 🎉

981 with a basic set of headers and a tune is the best of all worlds, takes it into legendary status. The same cannot be said for the 718. Although the differences are small in reality
Had this choice before I settled on my 981 GT4. IMO all things considered a few years ago the 718 GT4 wasn't worth the $20,000 premium. IMO the 981 GT4 is more special. Raw sport car feel, tighter clutch, limited production run. Never looked back on my decision. Just finished a owners car experience where I drove my car on the Atlanta Porsche experience center west track and followed up that session with a 718 GT4. Both are phenomenal cars.
Oh, Carbon Buckets are a must to complete the GT experience.
Great video. Just took delivery of a new Boxster 4.0 GTS, after having a string of 911’s. What a fanstastic car, really great engine and balance.

You should also try the Boxster version. Much more visceral experience, especially when the roof is down. The two are as different as chalk and cheese. Use mine as my daily drive, it's an absolute hoot!.
I’d say you should check out the 718 GT4. Better suspension and ride control.

Yes - going to bring the 430 Scuderia back out for a run soon. Will do a Ferrari one as monitoring closely 👍
That white VVS car is still for sale 3 months later, same price too 🤷♂️
The newer 718 GT4s are now starting at just over £70k. So the extra few grand gets you a 3-4 year younger 4 litre car with more power and updated tech. Those seem to be the better buy realistically.. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year fella👍👍

Agree but disagree. The 4 litre cars are faster and arguably look better from the front but the noise of the 3.8 vs the 4 litre is a k.o. kriteria for me. The 4 litre just sounds kinda crap...no matter the exhaust. I mean its the stroked 3 litre turbo from the 911 carrera with its turbos robbed.
@@immanuelvinke2215disagree. The 718 gt4 has a far better induction noise so with a simple exhaust mod you get the best of both worlds ❤
981 will be worth more than the 718 over time. Too many 718s made in comparison

I agree. I got a 981. But everywhere I go I see an old man out of shape, way younger than me with a 911. You make the car, the car can only do so much. 🤙but can't change a fat guy. No matter how fat his wallet is. Pun intented. Like seeing a fat girl come out of a gtrs3...no thanks.
