      @YuckFouTubeX As long as you can still go or you can have sheltered matches sure by all means come back. But one of the hardest things anyone is ever going to have to accept is that you have gotten to old to do a young persons work. It happens to everyone and you need to clue in when its happening to you.

    • @BType13X2
      @BType13X2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @YuckFouTubeX Sheltered matches as in matches where your opponents do more of the heavy lifting then you. So you don't need to exert yourself so much physically. We literally do this in the oil industry for our older workers where we let our older more experienced people do firewatch / confined space monitoring rather than sending them into the pressure vessel to do the work inside. Allows them to continue to work without exposing them to the more dangerous aspects of the work.

    • @BType13X2
      @BType13X2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @YuckFouTubeX I never said don't let him wrestle re-read what I said. I said have him be in more sheltered matches. Then again you had no idea what I meant when I said that either Mr. Author.

    • @BType13X2
      @BType13X2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @YuckFouTubeX What Rick Flair wants doesn't really enter into it when Fans start telling you to retire. I personally will never watch another one of his matches again because his last retirement match was a sad spectacle, so his next one will be worse. Your argument boils down to who are we to tell him he can't. Well fair enough but we do not owe him viewership everytime he decides to lace them up again.
      And finally there become a time in industry where you get made to retire to protect you from yourself. Flair has maybe a few years left where other wrestlers should indulge him before they should refuse to step in the ring with him for fear of hurting or killing him.

    • @BType13X2
      @BType13X2 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @YuckFouTubeX Yes and that is the only sort of match Flair has any business being in these days. And you sort of made my point anyway cause he could not have been more protected then his last match. That match was his fellow wrestlers love letter to Rick Flair, and he should look at what those guys did for him and thank them back by never getting in the ring again. Cause the next time he decides to have a last match I wont watch and I know many others that wont either.

    Vader's an interesting case because he admitted several times that he wanted to wrestle until he was physically unable to do it anymore. Even when he was diagnosed with heart failure and urged by doctors to retire, he said he'd continue even if he died in the ring! Although that didn't happen, he did end up wrestling himself into an early grave. Was it reckless? Yes. Were his final matches duds? Sure. Did he love wrestling too much? I'd say that's the only problem he didn't have; from what I've seen of him, he was very passionate about wrestling and probably would've made the same decisions if he were given the chance.
    That's probably why his choice didn't tarnish his legacy. He just loved wrestling that much.

    Completely agree about Ric Flair. He had one of the greatest build ups in Wrestlemania history and one of the most iconic matches. It was the perfect retirement match. Shame Mick is down on his 2006 WM match with Edge. THAT would have been a worthy ending, and "made" Edge in the eyes of fans; he was a genuine main eventer long-term afterwards like Orton. He did the same for Triple H in 2000. WWF/E had put Edge and Triple H in main events and made them WWF/E Champion before their Foley feuds, but Mick helped get the fans behind them and Orton and made them legit respected draws...

Hulk Hogan should've retired as a 16 x world champion & with Randy Orton ending his career at Summerslam. Shane should be on this list, I love the guy....he gives 110% and risks life and LIMB when he wrestles, but he should call it a day. Goldberg, that ones interesting, he still has the physique and the will, as long as you play to his strengths like simple old school moves and a spear and don't expect him to jackhammer a 400 pound man, he still has it to go. King should be BANNED from returning after his health issues, that man is more of a threat to drop dead in the ring than FLAIR is.

  • @lylaznboi01
    @lylaznboi01 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I think with Jerry Lawler's health issues, he should retire for his health's sake. I think for some of the wrestlers, it's fine to have a match every now and then, like a Royal Rumble appearance or just do some quick punches unless they're really not putting in the work to keep up with the current wrestlers. With Ric Flair, he should have stayed retired after his Wrestlemania match. He could have gone to TNA to do more of a manager role and do what Flair usually does instead of officially having a match. I think Undertaker was getting ready to hang it up after his match with Roman Reigns, but he just didn't like how it turned out and needed one more match to really call it. Thankfully, with the pandemic that happened, he had a cinematic match with AJ Styles, which did help him cover up the ring rust, and I thought it turned out pretty well. Wouldn't he wanted it in the ring with the crowd instead? He probably would, but the world during that time didn't let it happen.
