Loved watching as I wasn’t there !!! Glad you liked the park and next time I’ll be there ! Not shopping for cloths! Thanks tk the air line we shall not mention 😂
Really enjoying these Orlando vlogs Sean. It’s so amazing seeing someone’s first reaction! We had our once in a lifetime holiday in 2012 as a family of 5. It had us hooked!! It’s that special to us that We now holiday there when we can afford it every 2 or 3 years and don’t go on any holidays in between apart from merlin days out! People think we are mad but it’s what we love. Have a fab rest of the holiday
I’m loving this series of vlogs. As a seasoned Disney go-er it’s brilliant seeing exactly the same sense of ‘wow’ that made me want to go back year after year
Hi Sean, as your resident zoologist commenter, I have to say, if you do go back to animal kingdom I’d really recommend some of the walking animal trails. They’re really immersive with some really interesting species - a great way to get away from the crowds. The oasis has things like babirusas and anteaters. The tree has the likes of otters and catfish. Then you’ve got the African trail with gorillas, separate hippo viewing, birds etc. Then the maharaja has Sumatran tigers, fruit bats, Komodo dragons and all sorts! And don’t forget rafikis planet watch! Then there’s also the best bird show I’ve ever seen in any zoo ever (and I’ve been to a lot of zoos 😂)
I see a few of those I just didn’t record them. Zoo videos never go too well on the channel so I stuck to documenting the rides with only the Safari highlighting the animals. We’ve got 5 days to do the entirety of WDW… it’s an impossible task aha
I think it was the most expensive ride due to the yeti. It used to be an animatronic but the movement caused the show building to become unstable because of the size of it, so they had to turn it off and use a load of flashing lights to make it look like it's moving (B mode). Its now known as the disco yeti in the Disney community. You'll be happy to know the dinosaur ride and dino land is closing soon to be replaced.
@@LiftHillsandThrills people don't realise it is meant to look like a road side attraction/pop up fair. That's why it looks like it is on an unused car park with cracks in the pavement etc. Whats coming next looks much more Disney though 😊.
I think Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorcycle Adventure obliterated this in terms of cost. Although the amount that's been spent on Test Track down the years probably still comes out on top. I wonder what Falcon's Flight will come to
The cost was due to the unique switch track and that the ride has three structures. One for the ride, one for the mountain and one for the yeti. The yeti has not damaged the mountain or ride foundations as stated above but there is a structural issue with its own foundation. The yeti can’t be fixed without removing a huge portion of the ride and mountain as they are so intertwined so basically it won’t happen. However, the yeti hasn’t damaged the ride or mountain. Got to correct incorrect facts. 😊
Only been to florida once in 2016…love seeing your reactions to everything and I Can’t wait to go back hopefully next year ! Pandora and Star Wars wasn’t there when I went so looking forward to seeing it all and I will soooo cry too at guardians !!! Hope you enjoyed your trip and now have Disney running through your blood lol !!
I love WDW so it's so nice to see you visiting it for the first time & enjoying it. I actually like Dinosaur, most dark rides are purely scenic so I like the fact this one is thrilling/a wild ride
Hope you didnt miss it but one of the last cases in the Yeti museum is dedicated to Josh Gates from the show 'Expedition Unknown' great show about cryptids and spooky shit. Right up your alley if you've never seen it
Love these vlogs. Glad you are enjoying Orlando. I knew you would. My one & only visit to Animal Kingdom was back in 2007. No Avatar themed rides back then sadly. Remember The Lion King Show & Expedition Everest. The Yeti is supposed to be removed soon I heard. Dont know why.I hope not. It's a great effect/ animatronic.
No confirmation or annoucement of the yeti removal the ride would have to be closed for a long time and if they did they would have to do work on the mountain to remove it since it’s part of the ride structure that’s why it’s not fixed
Expedition Everest was the most expensive at $100m until being overtaken by Hagrid's at $300m then Cosmic Rewind at $500m, John Wardley said the switch track cost more than the entire budget for TH13TEEN
Next time you go to animal kingdom go to tuskers House for breakfast it is delicious. Love festival of the lion King. Lost count how many times wee seen it when we were there 😜
Fascinated by your reaction to Dinosaur--I can't stand Dino-Rama but I like Dinosaur. The motion system is the same as the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, and I wonder if you'd have the same reaction to that. My wife, who is not a big thrill ride fan, went on Tokyo Indiana Jones with me and I was afraid it'd make her sick, but she loved it! They're going to be changing the Orlando one to another Indiana Jones ride but I assume the actual ride system will be unchanged.
Probably a dumb question but is the standby queue single rider, or is that the queue you join if you don’t have Genie plus or whatever it’s called now?
16:55 John Wardley said in a 2017 interview that "the switch track alone on Expedition Everest cost more than the entire budget of TH13TEEN". So, maybe that's got something to do with it! 😅
You missed most of the animals in Animal Kingdom. So many people run from ride to ride and ignore the most magnificent part of the park - the animals! You didn't do the gorilla trail, you didn't do the tiger trail, you didn't see the bird shows. You missed the entire point of Animal Kingdom.
I’ve got rides to do, I see animals every single week! And the safari showed me the large majority. I did go and see the gorillas I just didn’t record.
I worry about how your going to be when you go back to rainy Alton towers.... just put on a fake smile for the camera and lets start with that shall we!
Animal Kingdom looks beautiful. I had a hakf day there in 2008, I'd love to go back and spend a full day.
Beautiful park!
Sean, the VIP. Love that! I’m so glad you’re enjoying WDW. It’s fun seeing your reaction to everything.
Haha been such a diva this trip. Disney VIP experiences aha

That brought back some great memories.
Thanks for watching

Dinosaur…. I just can’t 😅 they need turn up the lights in there it’s ridiculously dark you can’t even see the dinos!
last went to Florida in 2017 it was one of the prettiest parks I’ve ever been to. Just wish it had a few more rides!
So good!
Hope you didnt miss it but one of the last cases in the Yeti museum is dedicated to Josh Gates from the show 'Expedition Unknown' great show about cryptids and spooky shit. Right up your alley if you've never seen it
NEVER seen it! But sounds cool
Enjoy my day at Animal Kingdom! What a beautiful park

There’s so much to do there’s no way o can fit it all in, in a week although I have done 99% of rides I wanna do
They're pretty decent at themeing at this park, huh? Loving the vlogs mate 👍
Just a tad! Cheers
That animatronic scares the bejesus out of me.
😂😂
You missed A bugs life 😂. We have stopped at the Animal kingdom hotel with a savannah room looking out to the animals. Pandora is amazing.
It’s more a show than a ride but we’ve been park hopping on different days so I’m sure I’ll catch it
John wardley said it is because of how expensive the switch track was because the switch track was the first of its kind
Takes an absolute age to switch

I hope they change the ride system or at least make it more comfortable, it's ridiculous haha
Probably a dumb question but is the standby queue single rider, or is that the queue you join if you don’t have Genie plus or whatever it’s called now?
It’s just a normal queue unless it’s a ride that you have to virtual queue for then you’ll be given a time specific to join it
Problem is once you go to Disney and universal parks when you get home and go to uk parks you look and 😂😂😂😂 end of
I was like that with UK parks anyways (except Paultons)
it was the most expensive due to the yeti animtronic was complex during its time and the theming itself
Thanks for clarifying
@@LiftHillsandThrills from what I understand now the record is held by Universal studios and Epcot with velocicoaster and cosmic rewind

Think they got ripped off as the switch track was VERY slow haha definitely old tech now aha
Did you do triceratops spin or tough to be a bug?
Don’t really do flats and Bugs Life is more a show we’re park hopping so did that after
No no one could do Hero all day anymore, its got so much rougher over the last year… everyone would have a migrane by lap 4
I already have migraines 24 hours a day I could easily lap hero no question. Nemesis was a doddle
