A great review of a charming little bike. I bought mine in September, and I'm looking forward to having a few adventures on it in 2022. I've barely ridden my Versys 1000 since buying the Himalayan, as they are so much fun to ride around the lanes of Berkshire.
Thanks John, good to see you out and about on Harry. My bike Ganesh is at the dealers getting the ECU mapped or something on warranty. They removed the Iridium plug and said it wasn’t the correct plug. I had to chuckle. Hopefully back out soon. Enjoying your vlogs immensely. Many thanks.
Love my Himalayan “Tenzing”. The front brake is pretty dire but once replaced with sintered pads it comes alive with loads of feel and stopping power. Lower steering tapered bearing had very little grease from new and the steering became quite notchy. Strip, clean up and regressed with some waterproof marine bearing grease and it’s perfect.
Hi John, I’m a bit late watching this one but as always I enjoyed it! I concur with everything you say about the Himalayan. It’s the first bike I have owned and not been on the lookout for my next bike. This one’s a keeper 😀👍 thanks.
I agree with you on the battery issue. I got 6 mo out of mine. Just actually charged mine up this aft as I've been off the road 2-3 weeks. So if you're out n about tomorrow let me know n we can have a catch up and a brew 😁👍
My Himmi and Interceptor both had bad batts within the month. They have to be on a trickle charger which I'm sure the shops don't do. I went with yuasa, much better.
Great video! Your review of the Himalayan is spot on Sir! The roads you are riding on are absolutely beautiful and is a perfect match for the Himalayan! Well done 👍 👏👏 I look forward to watching more of your videos. 🍻😎
Brilliant bikes! Its weird how they grow on you and get under your skin so quickly, the bike becomes a reliable best mate, then you name it and it becomes a keeper and part of the family..love mine 😍 Nice review m8..catch up soon, stay safe 👍
Even 80s kids don't understand tuning the tapheads you 60s kids are genius. Does this still have push rods from the crank case? I thought they changed that to chain drive!
Hi fella, great channel enjoy your videos a lot I’m a Himmi E4 2021 owner my self live in wilts and hey I like to get out with my metal detector too 😱😂 so enjoy those videos too all the best ride safe till the next. M
The Himalayan is a great bike after you have the head gasket, stator, fuel injector relay replaced after just 6 months from new. Lets not even mention the bike just comletely losing all power just to start right up again. After that count yourself lucky you have the money to pay for out of warranty repairs

Thank you, I think that you have to own one to truly appreciate what a great bike they are.
Good solid built bike and so easy to work on, on my 2nd one now euro 5 in green, keep up the videos, Chris from UK.
Thanks Cris, any differences in the models?

Sorry to hear of your troubles, my bike has had no problems
Its those stories that prevent me buying one, on the other hand others have had no troubles
