    Remnant! Thank you guys! Josh, I am one of those guys that is getting ROCKED by your interviews. Jack Deere! Thank you for having the courage to share. I had given up on pursuing them because all I saw were soft unconfirmable prophecies. Most of all, I love to hear Godly humility in these wonderful leaders who love the LORD, His Word, and are stepping out in both power and failure, but persisting. Wow so good!

    I saw him teach at a church I went to for years and he is the most dynamic teacher, preacher I have ever heard! That was 25 years or so ago. I have looked around and tried to find his contact information. At that time in my life I was not aware of how much he impacted me. I want to reach out to him and just tell him thank you and ask for him to pray with me, even if it’s through email.
    Thank you guys for bringing men of God like him on your program.
    I just found your channel and really love it!

    Even if they only healed to prove to the blind who God is, that is still relevant today, I would say even more so since the world has become some much more materialistic. Back in the Apostles day everyone believed in gods. Today that is disappearing as non-belief is spreading, how else then could someone begin to believe in something/someone that is unseen?

    I feel discouraged from believing in the gifts when I see people prophesying fear on you tube, or groups of people falling on the floor or being loud. I feel so uncomfortable. I grew up around drunk and partying parents, and I don’t want church to be like that. People/ Spirit speaking love and healing, promoting peace, I could get on board with that. In my church, we emphasize social justice and serving the poor. I will start by praying more specifically for those we serve.

    My dad is a wonderful dedicated Christian. He has been a pastor for almost 50 years. 1 Corinthians 13 is exactly why he is a cecessionist. He goes into the “vernacular” now to explain why see in tongues and prophesy have ceased. I would say. Exegesis is his strength, but here he is SO hung up on it. He obviously hasn’t seen it, but that’s about to change. The word “perfect” in Greek is a gender neutral one, so it doesn’t mean Jesus’s coming or it would’ve used a masculine word. He says it isn’t the millennial Kingdom because after a thousand years Satan is released to deceive again. It isn’t our perfected bodies because because we go to them not them coming to us. This is the ONLY verse that he is hung up on. I can explain the cessationist position better than my new continuist perspective. I asked the Lord for healing, and in faith I’m going to just go for itD but I have no idea how. The Holy Spirit better just teach me in the moment or I’ll be looking like an idiot. Prayers for me, and mostly, prayers for my father. He himself needs healing as well. I believe that his ministry will not end with him dying to his lung problems. There is more for him.

    • @tomtemple69
      @tomtemple69 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was healed myself about a year before I was saved, I have the elders come, anoint me with oil and the next morning, my 6 month long disc herniation went away within 12 hours
      God heals all the time for His glory, no cessationists deny healing, they just deny that certain people can heal like the apostles (instant, complete healing even Peters shadow and Pauls handkerchiefs could heal people, I highly doubt anyone has that power)
      when i go back to 1 Corinthians 13, i noticed that the 3 revelatory gifts (prophecy, knowledge and tongues)
      prophecy is revelation from God
      the gift of knowledge (they aren't speaking of general knowledge cuz how would we know anything at all, we still know things when Jesus returns)
      and tongues with interpretation are equal to prophecy, 1 Corinthians 14:5 shows the prophecy is better unless a tongue is interpreted, prophecy was superior because it didn't require interpretation to edify others while tongues did, that is how tongues were in Acts 2, telling of the great works of God
      and "the perfect" is one translation of the word, if you check the concordance, not once is that word (teleios/teleion) is never used to refer to Jesus
      on Bill Mounce's site, concerning teleion: 1 Cor. 13:10; full grown of ripe age
      this makes sense because the verse immeidately after 1 Cor. 13:10 is 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
      so in the immediate context, it means reaching maturity
      the question is, when will that maturity be reached? keep in mind, the context of 1 Corinthians, the church was incredibly immature whilst still being spiritual
      is it possible that the gifts Paul was speaking of in 1 Corinthians 12 aren't given to every single church? Apostles were a gift, and the apostles have ceased in the 1st century... so at least one gift has passed
      that pokes a major hole into charismatics arguments, that probably why the NAR happened, so they can bring back apostles and prophets to say EVERY gift is still here....
      and taking one look at NAR shows just how bad their theology and teachings are

    • @tomtemple69
      @tomtemple69 ปีที่แล้ว

      i myself am a non normative continuationist, every gift is out there somewhere but it is not normative, my belief is far off isolated places where new churches in unreached places but well established places where maturity of the church has been reached, some gifts have passed

    • @IndianaJoe0321
      @IndianaJoe0321 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't "have" a charism ('gift' isn't in the Greek) of the Spirit.
      Read 1 Cor 12, remember the context is corporate ministry (an assembly), and notice how many times "same Spirit," "God," "one Spirit," "same God," show up.
      Look at both verse 6 and verse 11 and notice it is "as He [God the Spirit] wills." This is why Saul/Paul tells the believers to "earnestly desire the greatest charisms."
      In other words, the charismata of the Holy Spirit are not residential gifts like this found in Rome 12:6-8 or Eph 4:11-14.

    14:00. Strongly disagree. Jesus in Nazareth could do not great works because of their unbelief, true. BUT the scripture says specifically "He could there do no mighty work, save [except] that He laid His hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
    Their unbelief did not stop Jesus operating in the ministry of healing.

    • @IndianaJoe0321
      @IndianaJoe0321 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The koine Greek word is μονογενῆ, @@mairtinodiomasaigh2428 . "monogenē" means, "pertaining to being the only one of its kind or class, unique in kind." Using "begotten" invites heresy into the discussion.
      Remember: there is only one God, Yahweh. Thus, the Son is unique in that He became 100% human at conception in Miriam/Mary's womb while, at the same time, always remaining 100% God. The Son was never, at any time, not God.

    About Mark 6..... I have heard this statement about NO healing several times..... but the passage says, 4 And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.” 5 And he could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And he marveled because of their unbelief. So I am not sure if the argument as stated holds water with out some caveat or explanation. He did no "Mighty Works", but he did did lay hands on and heal some sick people. Was this a gift? Was it just a work of the Spirit for those present and in need, was it based on those particular sick peoples faith? I think it unwise to make sweeping statements as such. I also think it might be a problem to suggest that God is restrained by a person not having "faith", the people in this passage didn't lack faith in general, this is a case of them specifically despising Jesus as the vessel. They refused Him specifically in this instance.
    All in all, another great show I really enjoy the show.

      You can’t take this scripture out of context. We haven’t Peter’s first sermon he says God is pouring out his spirit upon all flesh. Young men and women will prophesy. Old men would have dreams and visions. Even the slaves male and female would prophesy. This isn’t just something that the apostles do. But what is important and even charismatic and Pentecostals miss is this. You can pray for someone for example to be here and you can just ask God. However a lot of times you need to ask the whole spirit what does God want to do in this situation after all that Jesus did he says I do what I do to do.

      Basically I believe what they're saying is a false prophet is someone who purposely pretends to have a word from the Lord to lead those astray. For example money, fame, their own agenda, etc.
      While if you genuinely thought you had a word from the Lord and were wrong you would be in error and need to repent but shouldn't be given the same label as one who is deceiving on purpose.

    I like your open-minded approach. Do you believe that in the end days God WILL pour HIS Holy Spirit on ALL people in the world? I'm seeing it happen and my husband and myself have been experiencing it first hand!
    Think about this if you question how close we are to Christ's rapture of the church...
    Think about it...what was the first item there was a massive shortage/run for after covid??? Toilet paper! What color is it? White! What is it used for? Now, what were the next 2 items there were shortages of? Paper towels and tissues! What color are they? What are they used for? Clean up messes and icky stuff! What was the next items? Sanitizer and soap! What are they used for? To clean/disinfect!
    Now...What must Christ's body have looked like when he was put in the tomb after the torture they put HIM through and HIM having the sins of ALL people in the world since creation on HIM! What color was the swaddling clothes he was wrapped in when HE came into this world? White (historically). Then HE lived a pure life but died as a criminal. When HE died, HE had water and blood flow from his side when they pierced it! HE is the LIVING WATER. HE she'd HIS blood to wash our sins away so WE could be clothed in white/righteousness!
    HE also left the WHITE cloth which had covered HIS head FOLDED. In fancy restaurants, where most use white linen napkins, if you're temporarily leaving say to use the restroom, you FOLD the napkin and leave it beside your plate. If you're done, etiquette says you toss it on the plate to say you're done. By folding the cloth covering HIS head, HE was signifying that HE IS COMING BACK!!!
    HE covered our sin/messes with HIS righteousness! HE paid the price for our redepemption so we can be dressed in white and NOT our sins!

      the prophecy in Acts 2:
      16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
      17 ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
      ‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind;
      And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
      And your young men shall see visions,
      And your old men shall dream dreams;
      18 Even on My bondslaves, both men and women,
      I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit
      And they shall prophesy.
      19 ‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above
      And signs on the earth below,
      Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
      20 ‘The sun will be turned into darkness
      And the moon into blood,
      Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.
      21 ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
      Everyone conveniently leave out verses 19-21
      When are those last days that God will pour forth His Spirit on all mankind?
      19 ‘And I will grant wonders in the sky above
      And signs on the earth below,
      Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
      20 ‘The sun will be turned into darkness
      And the moon into blood,
      Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.
      does He mean literally ALL mankind?
      there are so many questions people avoid, they see :And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
      And your young men shall see visions,
      And your old men shall dream dreams;
      18 Even on My bondslaves, both men and women,
      I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit
      And they shall prophesy.
      and thats it, ignoring the context and just moving along

    Mark 16:20 (NLT): 20 And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
    Jesus is the living word, He performed signs to confirm the word the Father spoke. Moses did miracles to confirm the word spoken, the Apostles performed signs to confirm the Word Jesus spoke. The uncontrollable spasms and gibberish we have heard for the last 120 years is signs of deception not revelation

    Ok guys....The problem with Charismatic - Pentecostal doctrine is you have to do a LOT of mental gymnastics to prove that speaking in tongues is a heavenly language.....
    I believe God can and will, and has given people the gift if tongues to communicate His Word to people, but, it is a BUNCH of gibberish otherwise.
    Healing? Yes God heals, but, even in your Charismatic Pentecostal churches you have MILLIONS of sick people, many ready to die. You have members in your churches with blindness, deaf, crippled....infirm in one way or another. How many people go to your churches every Sunday with pacemakers, glassed, canes, walkwrs, wheelchairs?
    Does God still heal? Oh yes! But in every instance? No.
    And you make fun of people who say WHY DON'T YOU ALL GO TO THE HOSPITALS AND EMPTY THEM OUT.... well, you all are saying you have such great faith and healing DOES exist? So, why not go to the children's hospitals and empty them out? You know why? Because even you know that at best, you cannot even heal a flea.
    Finally, I was in the Charismatic-Pentecostal Church for over 40 years, graduated from a "spirit filled" Bible school...
    And you say signs and wonders affirm the message? NO! It is NOT happening.....only the Holy Spirit affirms the message and at the end of the day I am relieved that I no longer have to watch people FAKING on Sunday morning speaking in tongues and being slain in the spirit.
    One last thing: A PROPHET? The very definition of a prophet is one who speaks for God. Brothers, if you are speaking for God....you best be accurate....and at least accountable! You down play the definition of a prophet by saying you can make a mistake....the FACT that you can make a mistake....nullifies you or anyone as a Prophet! Either you are accurate or you are not....and twisting the story of Nathan and David is a fine example how Charismatic Pentecostal churches get it wrong and shipwreck people's faith.

      I skipped over most of what you had to say because I can see right away that you have some misunderstandings and misinterpretations. First of all tongues is not just a heavily language it can be. But when you read in the first time people were baptized the Holy Spirit and spoke with tongues. there were Jews from 14 different nations who had come to Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish feast of Pentecost. So they heard the 120 speaking in at least 14 different languages. Then they heard some people speaking in a language they could not understand. And they assumed that these people must be drunk. Because they were babbling or speaking gibberish. Then peters stood up said no it’s only 9 o’clock in the morning and then he begins to explain what is taking place. I encourage you to stop looking at Dallas theological seminars teaching and other reformed Baptist groups teachings on the gifts of the spirit. And reframe some looking at some of the videos that are editedby people who do not like charismatics or Pentecostals. The gifts of the spirit or for your identification and for you to identify the body of Christ

    If the criteria for being a "false prophet" is speaking an incorrect word about God, then every pastor or layperson who's ever misquoted or misapplied scripture in a sermon and/or casual conversation needs to be stoned. (Gulp)

    saying Nathan made a mistake is wrong...
    when he approved of David, it was his own approval, not Gods
    imagine trying to justify the blasphemy of God, putting words in His mouth by twisting Scripture...
    and u wonder why people don't agree with yall
