Awesome discussion. God's gifts and call are irrevocable (Romans 11), so we can't lose our salvation to God taking it back. But, like with receiving a Christmas fruitcake, we can accept it then give it back or lose it ourselves by not keeping up with it because we don't really want it. Rejecting Christ as Lord and Savior after receiving Christ is returning the (unwrapped) gift of salvation. If that person asks for the "fruitcake" (salvation) again later, then it's there for them again because God never took it away. The second time may have more conviction, which produces stronger discipleship and more harvest. It's all in God's plan. I believe that only He knows all of our individual spiritual journeys from beginning to end, so only He can judge our hearts in The End. So I'm in camp 2 AND 3, with the belief that only God can judge a #3 situation.
