    Used to live up on Lazy Mountain in the late 70's - looked like Palmer from the opening scene. Awesome video.

      🤙 I'm hoping to get there soon. Finally decided to start the process now that I'm living in AK. The flight sims are no longer scratching the itch.

    good flying brother im going to get my ppl soon this coming year and then i want to learn to bush fly as well have you seen the Alaskan bush plane tournament for the shortest takeoffs and landings its soo cool i think the shortest landing was 9 ft 2 inches like that take some serious skills and once you learn that skill you can land and takeoff anywhere

      Yeah it's incredible, would love to be able to do that. Good luck with the PPL mate.

    Dude that was so cool, I grew up on Lazy Mountain to the North and always watched the planes fly over. I was looking at Blue River Aviation and stumbled into your video, I'm absolutely heading down there tomorrow and getting signed up. What did it cost you overall to get your license?

    • @matteobradshaw
      @matteobradshaw  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would really recommend Blue River Aviation although I can't say how much it would cost to get a full licence as I did mine in the UK. I'm sure if you gave them a call they could give you an estimate. Hope this helps.

    Looks like great fun. Thanks for sharing. Was this tail wheel endorsement training or just some cub time?

    • @matteobradshaw
      @matteobradshaw  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment. All the flying I did from Palmer was tail wheel endorsement training. Hope this helps.

  • @ZacharyJames

    • @matteobradshaw
      @matteobradshaw  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Blue River Aviation. Great people. If you look up the name you'll find a website with all their details.

      Gotta start somewhere. How many hours have you flown lately? It looked to me like he was being instructed by an extremely proficient individual. They can take my money as well.

    • @kurtnelson9714
      @kurtnelson9714 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JustMike2791 I'm saying, that landing on gravel strips in Knik, is far from bush flying. Call it what you will.

    • @JustMike2791
      @JustMike2791 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@kurtnelson9714 Agreed. But technically one could call where they were, the bush. I didn't see any Walmart's or McDonald's close by....
