I’d say it’s a little big on him just from the camera angle, but it’s not obnoxious. Wrist width and lug to-lug of the watch matter more than wrist circumference for determining the appropriate size. Measure the width of your wrist in mm, and multiply by .8 and .9 to find your lug-to-lug range. This watch is said to be 49mm L-to-L
It looks much bigger on cellphone camera view. Honestly it's a bit large for me bit it's wearable IMO. Bought this because of shortened lug-to-lug size. Mark XVIII was too big for me to wear.
I have a 6 inch wrist too and usually anything under 50mm lug to lug works for me and I think this one comes in just under that. The mark xviii’s was 51mm and it didn’t fit my wrist well. I wear a mark xv with a 47.5mm lug to lug and that fits really well

They went back to the mark xv dial set up just with the new font
