Old Dutch man here. Nice vid. And our humble apologies for the weather. In my 60 years, we've never had so much rain. And the start of summer wasn't too good either. Still don't like the weather 😅 Greetings
Other old Dutch man here . ' Our humble apologies for the weather ? ' Why would 'we' apologize for the weather ? It's not as if we can control it now do we ?
The stroopwafels store is very overpriced and the candy shop is a tourist trap therefore the chocolate was very bad sorry.. Enjoy our fabulous city! ❤❤
Haha yes, we actually liked the simple, small and affordable stroopwafels the best! We definitely fell for the candy shop. We thought there was only one but kept seeing it later as we walked around. 🤦🏻♀️ loved their peach gummy though! Thank you so much for your warm welcome❤️
I’ve lived in very gloomy weather all year long during college, and a foggy city after. so I’m actually okay with it. ☺️ it was actually mostly gloomy when we visited amsterdam, and I still loved being there. But I can see how it’d be hard for other people.
To say Amsterdam has nothing to do with the Netherlands is just stupid. Amsterdam is literally in the Netherlands. Just because you’re from a small village/town you don’t have to hate on Amsterdam. I’m Dutch and live in Amsterdam and it’s still very Dutch even though there are many tourists and expats. Some people are just more openminded I guess
The Netherlands is not Europe as in a federal state like the US. It is merely a geographical continent. Each and every country in Europe has it's own culture, history, government and laws. There is no overarching legislator individual countries have to comply to or with. You don't refer to the US as North-America, so, please, don't refer to our country as Europe. Thank you. And you don't have to win the lottery. A job will be sufficient, like all of us Dutch.
I absolutely agree with you. In addition to Netherlands, I also went to several other countries in Europe after. Netherlands just happened to be the first country we visited in our first week in Europe. ☺️ I wish I could afford to live there, but with my job/specialty it’s not so easy to transition in the Netherlands. So for now, I dream 🤗

We heard that the amount of rain was odd while we were there! Still so beautiful 😍 and people were so nice. Thank you so much for the greetings!

The winter weather is dark, cold, rain and wind.

Great video! Subbed :)
Thank you so much! 😊
Looks good
Thank you! 😊
Amsterdam has nothing to do with the Netherlands. Just like NYC doesn't represent the US.
True comment, Amsterdam is way better! 😂

keep on traveling, away from Nederland... and never come back
My, my. Aren't you special. (just to make sure you get it, with that I mean you are an a-hole)
So unnecessary and rude. I’m Dutch and live in the Netherlands and they are more than welcome
