Engine room, if you prop the guy up against the wall the head punch to wake him up works almost immediately.

I remember playing on extreme going for all the dog tags, it wasn't fun especially with 20 MGs to contend with. But you make it look easy. Well done. Wish I knew this back then.

07:52 I just scooted here to see how he does the Engine Room without a suppressor for the USP, but how come this guard gives up his tag, instead of being a hardass (that you have to scare by shooting the USP)? IIRC, there are three "hardasses" in the Engine Room area, including the last one that comes from the repaired door. My basic casual run leaves two tags uncollected from the 3 hardasses, I reckon I could just keep returning to the area and take them out in a different order if I wanted to collect them all without NG+.
Ive been trying to find reasons to replay MGS2 and MGS3 and this gave me hope
If you can, wait for October. They're re-releasing MGS 1, 2, and 3 on all major platforms. I'm getting it for the Nintendo switch!

damn I have not done a MG2, let alone any MGS, extreme, 100% play thru for quite some time. time I dusted off the ol' sneaking suit and have a go again lol this was great. good job!
Yes! I've been on an MGS binge for the past couple of months. I finally got through all the VR Missions in MGS2 Substance.
Couple of years later and Raiden will be able to cut one of those Rays in half with just a HF. Blade.

What happened to the dog tag on the upper level of the tanker before going into cabin quarters ?
He went right at the start deliberately getting spotted which brought the guard down the stairs to the right. He held up that guard as he came down the stairs, which is why there were two guards on the balcony at the right.

He's playing the original version of Sons of Liberty, which lacks those extra dog tags. They were added in Substance.
