the craziest part was when Dab said K's business's got denied at the start of 4.0 because the council was worried he would make to much money while other gangs and civs were grinding the most high paying jobs all day barely interacting then camped mosely's so they could buy and sell cars for higher profit and now they're all insanely rich. When K's business's were creating tons of RP opportunities for people outside of CG.

The main reason it was denied was because it was a copy and past of an actual legislation in the real world which is why it was a no, the second reason was because max and his wife who made the legislation were investors which violated one of the rules. Etta was the only one asking about the financial side of it and crane called it the prymid scheme which both were true, but not the reason it was denied LMFAO

But that’s okay I get people are upset something wasn’t approved for their rp it’s not necessary just about them it’s about everyone and sometimes it’s hard for people to understand.
The better version of this would be renter agreement laws were if you rent out a property for x amount of time and that person becomes the liable owner meaning all things happening in that home falls back on them. Thats not really what was asked for and I get why people are generally confused cause renting out a property shouldn’t be to difficult, but that’s not what the law really was about. It also didn’t mean it was stopped it means that specific version was denied for various reasons that could ultimately be addressed through talks.
The crazy part is that moonmoon ruined NP and he's not playing anymore. Just another DW

Don't think about him ruining it but more so as an annoying opportunity for some great rp. Js if everything went as planned in rp it would be very boring. Plus you gotta admit the way CG shut them down was very cool to see. Also unlike DW from the sound of it he received push back from people, enough so that he got his admin removed so maybe there's hope this time around in the server.

As soon as it was revealed Mr K was the richest on the server CG got fucked from the jump, while K and Ramee tried to rp things outside of crime you had mfs grinding every possible mechanic on “how to make money” and already claiming turf

Management wants mayor to be important, and it clearly can be. Buddha said it earlier, why anyone voted for Max the second time is mind blowing. I mean he did run with the RP, it just went way to far in terms of server impact because of the power the mayor has. Which in pure RP what he did is still wild blowing up all of your relationships on ego then shutting down stuff the entire server wanted like businesses and shit.
Just speculation here, but I would assume Max secured the PD and EMS/ doctors with their high paying jobs (hence why as soon as he got re-elected he lowered everyone.) and Solomon and tuggz split the gang votes, for the most part at least, there's obviously outliers and such.
I mean Moonmoon openly said at the start he would cockblock people who had super successful businesses in 3.0 to give others a chance but i guess he only meant cg becz buddha, hydra and mary are rich as fuck with op businesses lololol

Honestly looking back it make me sad. Ramee and K had such awesome things going and the arc’s were amazing. I loved the whole Karen Landlord gentrify the south side idea, love the Scam Calling hotline, the lawyer arc. All of it was so good creating so much for others without the need for any dev work. It was such a blessing it reminded me of the Changaloa Cartel and just like that it got stripped away by people who don’t understand the first thing about creating roleplay for others. Yet somehow rather than get lost and go join Prodigy again they stuck around and somehow continued to be crapped on and yet still stuck around because Nopixel is Nopixel. I hope Koil understands this. They literally were driven out of 3.0 by the PD going unchecked. Thank goodness someone stepped in to check this before they left again after saying they would. I think and hope it’s on the climb toward greatness that all us viewers know Nopixel can reach. I’ve noticed many of the newer PD have been awesome characters.

@@Ej9196 They were going to leave a server that was 90% grind 10% getting fucked, they were denied RP around every corner for simply being CG, notice Hutch came back after they made it less grind. Prodigy is far from perfect buts its crims dont get fucked constantly for being crims how bout you go sit and look at a wall for 7 days with no DOC and then come back and tell how that RP was.

They even said they like most people on the server and will be back and will need a break but sure believe the reddit hive mind. The only reason NP stayed relevant is because of CG/LB so I think those guys should have a little say on how the server is run considering what the 1st 6mnts of NP 4.0 has been like lmao

It takes very special people to get power and not abuse it....unfortunately this iteration of the council failed the city. Imo just need the right people in positions of power who can see the big picture, are understanding of all sides, and want to make things fun.
This is the usual iteration of the Stanford Prison Experiment. Inevitably, those who gain any power will inherently abuse it. Human nature, really.
Compounded with the fact that many of the admins on NoPixel stream, they will gain bias through chat. Since the following they create that supports them financially will influence their decisions.
Anyone claiming IC vs OOC is full of it. It's a barometer of popularity, clout and viewership. Unfortunately, when it comes to RP, its the way it has been and always will be.
Frankly, only Nakkida has consistently proven to be the most level-headed admin on the server. Imo, the solution is giving admins a salary soas not to rely on streamer revenue. And start as a clean slate. Most admins have been so since 1.0, which comes with biases cultivated over years of conflict with other streamers.
Well koil and Buddha wanted to try something new it’s a great idea to have a council decide everything in the city they just have to follow the constitution Doj is suppose to not be corrupt so there’s no stopping the council is the problem
I think what is being cooked up is going to be interesting so people just need to wait and see. It’s going to be good I think.
Does anyone else feel a bit weird about Nino coming in out of virtually nowhere to run for mayor is kinda weird behavior? Like I love Mehdi's rp with Tuggz but him swapping to Nino to run for mayor is kind of... Unfair? He is using his clout from previous nopixels to kind of get an advantage that he wouldnt have on Tuggz.
I think he only played Nino shortly for 4.0 before making Tuggz

Call me a Moon fan if that makes you feel better. Im not. But the only time they denied anyone RP was when they got atracked. Everything else was Dev work people wanted or needed and businesses taking literally 6 month to implement and still dont have it right. The real f up in the city was having a city that wasnt ready to be moved into. Its almost like the server owners failed. Things only got bad when the Govt (council) was shot up and had to agrro every decision owners made ( ie debtors jail) Max (moon) failed because he was adhd and couldn't go without having constant action. You could see it when he kept playing commisioner becsuse it was cop RP basically again. He thought and made mayor too EZ in his mind. He and the server would have benefitted to a more flushed out roll out. Not having guns for months was horrible. It made cops targets and thus drastic measures led to dumb court cases. Also the 5 jobs only thing was an idea. A bad one when its not implented with other businesses. Who works at mosley ? Snr Buns? Heck even trash. Those sliders mean nothing now becsuse noone even works those jobs. Does anyone even do lumber or hunting now? In conclusion. The only time RP got denied is when aomething IC would lead A mayor to hold a grudge. Thats politics.

The mayor told Nino to shut down his mechanic shop due to learning that his chief of staff (Juno at the time) had beef with a single worker. Max played a hand in the council vote to not allow mr K’s property business. Max slashed doctor’s pay to $250 to force Canter to vote his way, basically leaving the hospital empty for like 2 weeks. I’m not a cg fan either, and there are IC reasons to do all these things, but Max’s actions certainly limited forms of rp prior to the council shooting. I agree that it mostly falls on the people around not keeping it in check (server owners/admins, rest of the council). I even enjoyed most of the dictator Max storyline, up until the point that it became clear he was doing it bc he wanted to do pd work and no longer wanted to do mayor work

@@Ej9196I don’t really see how the escape subverts PDs rp, if anything the escape provided many many more days of fresh rp for the PD. They finally got a commissioner who semi-militarized the PD to spread across the island in squads hunting for terrorists, that sounds like a much more intense and fun rp experience than just basic patrol
