I have not seen a dance like this before. What I like about this is, the dancers all share in the gift of dance. All dancers are evenly balanced in their gifting. Looking like they are having a lovely time and they are participating and interacting together. For me its rare to see dancers evenly matched.
When I saw this dance performed by the Brussels (Irish) Set Dancers, I decided to join them and Balyvourney remains my preferred set dance. Thanks for their welcome in their group.
I am from Russia, from distant Siberia. We, too, are learning Irish keili and sets. Thank you for these videos from your channel. It is very pleasant to look at joyfully dancing like-minded people.
I'm going to teach this next month. Thanks for the demo. Your excellent performance makes me want to call a special session to teach it today! It's one of my favorite dances.
christian schwender Actually you can! I've never danced before, I stayed 4 months in Ireland and I could dance rather good, just join a club, know your figures, and then there you go 😂
try googling TH-cam for the IVFDF ceilidhs (Inter Varsity Folk Dance festival) to see what good dancing does happen in UK. Or Sidmouth Festival, Bulverton ceilidhs, or the final Ford ceilidh (everyone dances in the river). Sorry you haven't found anything lively, Taco Bell; may depend on where you are in UK.

A living culture. Nothing like it here in the UK. It's all dead. Morris dancers once a year. That's about it.

There is good quality English folk dancing in England. You will find it on the web. Support them if you can.
There’s lot of set dancing in London.
what is the song's name?
This is a great set to dance to but I'm afraid that these dancers don't impress.
