    Thank you for sharing this video, I appreciate it. Living in a much older brick Rancher, my son loaned me his. ( no box - no manual - no receipt - no warranty) You educated me in such a quick, easy to understand fashion.. great job
    It had a hot cold issue, called the Lasko help line. Explained I had no paperwork, long story short. My replacement will be here in -10 days, at no cost. The tech did ask, that if I found anything

    The last Lasko Heater I had lasted 15 yrs or more. I didnt think it would ever stop working! As a matter of fact...it still works except it goes into oscillating sometimes and stops on its own pointed in the wrong direction than where I need it to be......Yes that one was well worth the money! I bought another one but its still new so I cant give a accurate review on it yet. BUT I loved the OTHER ONE! I think it was the first Lasko I ever bought.

    I purchased this exact model in December 2017 to help save costs on my heating bill for the winter. As the cost of Propane is nearly $3.00 a gallon I had heard that this heater was a really good model and heated a larger space than it appeared to be able to handle. I did pay the $50.00 and at first, the heater worked great. I could heat my entire living room, dining room, hallway and Kitchen with just this one heater. It seemed like I was going to be able to save a good deal of money this winter... but less than a month and a half the heater has stopped working. It has the red light on but when I try to turn it on all it does is beep. I can't get it to turn on at all. I'm really disappointed as I cannot afford to buy another heater and feel as though I've wasted $50.00 on a peice of junk.

    Hey again. I actually went with a DeLonghi heater. They were both similar in price, but the DeLonghi offers both an "on" timer and "off" timer, whereas the Lasko only offers one timer feature. I'm not sure if I'll use both timers, but for a similar price, I thought why not lol.

    Worked great for many years. However, the internal ceramic grid is barely putting out heat these days! You have to put your hand on the top 1/3 portion of the screen to feel any warmth. The mid to lower portion is blowing cold air. Yes, i did vacuum out the unit.

    I have a Utilitech vortex digital heater I bought from Lowe's. It does alright I guess. The low on mine is 600 watts, not 750 watts like the Honeywell. My complaint is that the thermostat is in 5⁰ increments. I set it for 75⁰ for the temperature to be about right. On low, it never cuts off over 70⁰. And if you cut it off, it defaults back to 95⁰ and you have to readjust it. But the plus is, this unit becomes a full fledge fan in summer.

  • @richk3c
    @richk3c 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    In the video at around 2:33 it was displaying 71 F right after you turn the timer back to 0hours. That's the thermostat displaying that the room had reach 71F, but at 2:54 you said "..so for instance i have this is set to 71 right now..." while pointing to the display...that's wrong! You had it set to 70F earlier in the video at 1:43 and left it. The 71 F displaying is the current temperature in the room. My question is why didn't it turn off at 70F like you said it would when the thermostat detected 70F because obviously it thinks it's 71 F now?

    • @enufots4621
      @enufots4621 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ok, I know what's going on here. When you set the temperature for auto mode. Let's say for 70F. Like he said this only works in the High setting and not the Low setting. The heater will try to keep the room temperature at around 70F. Fact is the heater will NOT turn off until it detected 2 degrees above the setting. That means it will be running until it displays 72F. Then, it will stop! That includes oscillation if you had it enabled. When does it turn back on? It will turn back "ON" 1 degree below your settings, which will be 69F. Oscillation will also turn back on. Got this info from watching a Lasko video. Fyi, the auto mode setting will clear itself when the High/Low button is pressed or if the heater is turned off. You will have to reconfigure the auto temperature setting. Btw, it's a good heater and I loved it's features. Thanks for the video!

    Hey Thank you!! I have been trying to figure out some of the setting on my heater.. have the same.. dont use it much .. and was wondering about the ( vampire voltage..) * I usely do only keep it on an hour too.. and your soooo right * you must keep the doors closed but overall its GREAT!* I hate how my cords outlet gets warm after a while.. but overall its a great product.. how far or where do you keep it when you leave yours on? near you or in a corner?*

  • @mixtape86
    @mixtape86 12 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Hey, I am considering buying this heater. I was wondering if I could ask you two questions: Is the thermostat accurate? Meaning, if you program it to 71 degrees, will the room be off by a couple of degrees? I've read that a lot of space heaters will let you set a temperature, but they sometimes vary by 5 or more degrees. Also, being that it's a ceramic heater, have you noticed your room becoming more dry? I believe heaters like these are known to lower the humidity of the room they're in.
    Thanku

      Oil-filled radiators will not dry rooms if that's a concern. I use one upstairs. The basement has a low ceiling, so the one in the video is better for that.

    🔆Thank you, very intelligent and informative way of explaining this heater. I set mine on low and for an hour. My main concern is deciding a good temperature to set it at. Any suggestions on a comfortable teamperature. Also, the heater when just on low will sometimes shut off before the hour is up. Do you have any idea as to why? Is the heater becoming too hot? 🤔.

    I believe I have a more recent model of this heater. Question though. Are you certain that this space heaters runs only on the 1500W rating in auto/thermostat mode? Have you used a watt meter to verify this? It always bug me that most space heaters don't tell you what the wattage draw rating is at the low setting, only disclosing the high setting (almost always at 1500W). This information is important for some of us who's circuit cannot handle that great of a load. I'm surprised disclosure of this information is not mandated. Between the three of us running space heaters in our home (we don't have central air heat), sometimes we trip the circuit breaker, which is extremely annoying. I just ordered a watt meter, and will be testing the wattage draw on all of our space heaters. I suspect that two of our space heaters draws the full 1500W on thermostat mode, like you said. With that being said, I really don't like how most ceramic space heaters on the market today don't give you the option of running on thermostat mode at the power setting of your choice (namely the lower setting). I have ONE small and inexpensive ceramic heater that allows this though. It has two knobs. One has the option for OFF -- FAN ONLY -- LOW HEAT -- HIGH HEAT. The other knob simply adjusts the threshold of when the unit would cut off when ambient temperature around the unit reaches above a certain degrees, or power on when it falls below. www.target.com/p/holmes-oscillating-ceramic-tower-heater-black/-/A-11009947?lnk=Rec|pdp|viewed_bought|pdph1

    • @BobbieTheTechGuy

      I'll tell you how. Push the fan mode button and it will give you a regular breeze. Also, not to mention, I have a heating system in my apartment, but sometimes when we turn it on, it would make the smoke detectors go "BEEP BEEP BEEP!" That's probably because the heater hasn't been running for a long time.
