Secondly, when I watched the episode, not once did “gay stereotype” come in mind when I saw the outfit. The outfit isn’t even remotely close to the pride flag; it just looks like a lot of bright colors. In my opinion, not all multi-brightcolored thing has to be about the lgbt community. And finally, it’s a gag from a comedy show. He’s just using irony that “oh it’s an mental illness, but i don’t look like I’m bad”. C’mon, catch the guy a break. I really want to see something like one of Tommy’s extended SNL bits (like his “STOP bit,” ✋) filmed as a sketch, with various different characters all played by Tommy and responding to one another. Something about the way his characters are semi-self aware enough to articulate the bizarreness of their own reality/behavior while continuing to carry on as if everything’s normal just feels like its own universe, like some Rick and Morty-esque fever dream.
I don’t usually comment, but I’ve seen so so many of these and aside from the hilarious growing skit lore, it’s just so fun to see all of them having a blast while genuinely getting better and better and better at the creativity and improv of it all. You can tell the whole gang is just such a blast to work with, but they also are feeding off of the laughter and energy from one another. So fun to watch.
