I much prefer the version that says “cogitatione, verbo, opere et omissione” that line followed by “mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa” gives me chills every time I say it

I was an altar boy back in the late 60's early 70's. All my prayers said during Sunday Mass were in Latin. I listen to this and recited instinctively along with the video. It's funny how when you learn at a young age, what stays with you. In life people have approached me, asking me if I know the Lord? I answer I have all my life. He's never left my side, even when I knew I was doing wrong. I ask for his forgiveness for being a thief, liar, and adulterer. I repent of my sins with all my heart. I am ashamed of the man I used to be. The prayers I've said repeatedly all my life and today are Act of Contrition, Angel of God, and the Lord's Prayer. They've been protected through some most troublesome times. Maybe they'll protect you.
