Anybody taking this build seriously has missed the point 😂 We are only doing it for fun, and for super cheap 😆 Cars like this serve no purpose, other than a bit of a challenge and laugh with your mates
There's a guy in the states that put headlights and turn signals and break lights on an old NASCAR he made it street legal! He drives it all over. So useless hardly not. It has been done. I would have a dam hard time getting in and outta something like that. But it is a cool daily driver.
🎉It was fast and easy because that frame is a Universal Engine Frame able to fit almost any Engine to it in the Simplest of ways!!! It's gonna be a Rock n Roller Soon and I'm so excited to see it on track doing Donuts or Racing it don't matter it's the Kool Factor and Thanks Dave from Dave Roberts Inverness Florida ❤️💯😮😅
You guys are straight up crazy and I love it. I am an old car guy. I love that you're irish. And you're nuts. Then you guys look like you have fun. That's the most important thing you have fun AND YOUR SAFE. Really feel bad about the fiber. You guys have come out the other side looking like a diamond. Keep it up, Never quit, Never surrender that right FOOT. YOU CHAPS ARE ALL RIGHT WITH ME!
I’ve always wanted to do this, I live in the states kinda (Alaska) and an old nascar is cheaper then a lot of jdm cars. I’ve always had this exact idea of drifting a nascar, I can’t wait to see how it performs
I think the fact that you're less "swapping" an engine into a NASCAR than installing a different engine than it had before. The tube frame is a tube frame not built specifically according to Multi-National Corporation's requirements. Adaptations must be made but the tube frame allows for that. Shoehorning a Nissan engine into Mazda chassis, for instance, is understandably harder. BTW, Chris Forsberg, Dylan Hughes, and Ryan Tuerck did a similar project a while back but I don't think they ever really intended it for drifting.
Thats INSANE, that you guys already made that thing run! I had my thoughts after seeing the first video! 🤣😱❤️ Love the content! Best regards Daniel from Denmark Europe
@@fullrunsilviaks *LS4 or the cast iron truck blocks. Lol. You get my point. I am not up to date on the modern GM nomenclature. But think you get what I mean. (phew, another whoopsies circumvented!)
Excellent bit of fabrication and welding by Ryan without any cnc, break press or ironworker ect,no fussing about just making full use of mounting points that were close👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 My guess is achieving full drifting steering lock will be the first headache then to get wheels that suit it without the massive sidewall tyres….actually do you know would it drift with the big sidewall tyres that are on it or would they be all over the place?? Really looking forward to the next instalment Josh 😂👌🏻👍🏼
I think Forma D driver Chris Forsburg has done a 2JZ Nascar, but I believe it was more of a drag/grip racing car. I don't care enough to check, plus this is my favorite. Good luck from the U.S. lads!
American 10mm would be like the 9/16 but not actually size, just very common bolt head or nuts. Size would be closer to 3/8 but still plenty of 1/2" & 5/8 used as well. Also carbs may be kinda analog but they are more reliable and scientifically Proven to always make more Horsepower than EFI Not that i have any issue with EFI, my cars are both types. Different strokes for different folks. Nice work boiz!
🪝🪝🪝🪝 completely love this swap this car is going to be viral it just looks Sick the stance its amazing the way it looked ugly with no engine the a 1J swap some how makes it look savage you don't even need to see the motor just knowing well-done team. Please hurry with next update) upload.
I live in America. I live in the next town over from Bristol Motor Speedway. (it's a beast of a track) Basically I'm around NASCAR's a ton... This is so bad ass! Lol
So a couple of things. You might want to check the rear end gear. I believe at this time depending on the track they were using either an LSD or locker rear end. Don't know which would be better for drifting but figured you should know. Also check the paint. A lot of these cars were just wrapped so you might be able to do a full on custom livery.
This cool to see minds come together just to see if it can be done great work team beats putting a lx motor in something which has been done way to much. Wheel in the rear going to be catch 22 I think
id be impressed about how quick it was, but its a purpose built racecar made to work on, so im not super suprised it was easyto fit a different drivetrain to be honest lol either way its freaking rad and i love everything about it, cant waitto see whats in storefor this beast 🤙
I know you're short on time but I'd love to see a proper boom tube exhaust on it, not only for the look but also the sound. I'd love to hear what a JZ sounds like through a proper book tube
you guys should grind off the aero on thop of the roof, its meant to help keep the going straight on track so trying to go sideways it might hinder aero slightly
Ooh this is making me uneasy it's all going too well. Best of luck with it and keep a bottle of holy water handy. Ricky Rudd is being inducted into the NASCAR hall of fame next year too, might be a good omen😀
The whole car is hand fabricated, so it lends itself to more fabrication. However, the body panels are no different. You dont "buy" a fender or quarter for it. You make them.
Its been so nice seeing things go your way for a change! You guys deserve nothing but the best of luck and all the good karma and its so good to see you getting it!
On the first video I'll admit it really looks like a bad idea that might work, after this, I'm so sure it will work, damn guys, you even make it look easy!
Was just gonna comment this. They definitely should put a boom tube out the side where the single pipe is. Awesome, unique build tho can't wait for it to drift!
Should’ve kept in the Ford family and gotten a Barra, if a I6 swap was what you were after. But this is cool. Can’t speak for Ford purists, though. This is coming from a Chevy fan, BTW
I have an idea for a Drift Games style livery for that car in the future, make it a Dave F6 Corvette tribute, maybe it won't be fit but i have feeling thats a good idea
Careful removing parts of the roll cage! You never know when you'll need to go wheel to wheel at 100-200mph again! /s In all seriousness, I love this. I hope this thing a blast for you guys, and I cant wait to see do some skids
Y’all need to get a “boom tube” for that car, that’s the proper NASCAR exhaust, plus I think it would be cool to hear a JZ through one
I was thinking the same thing when I watched the last video, should be interesting ɓecause its difficult to screw up the sound of a 1jz turbo
💯
bruh chris forsberg already has a JZ swapped nascar
I cannot like this comment more
@@jackmagnium6115 I know, I mentioned it in their first video, as did the video (did you not pay attention to the videos?)

It's fucking awesome
I'm with the shits! Go have fun with this thing, it doesn't have to be full on drift masters car but just have fun with it!
my dude thank you. what a great idea. i bet its a show stopper!

fuck em this things sick
this car needs nascar boom tubes so baddddddd
Can we acknowledge Ryan’s beast fabrication skills ? 🔥
Absolutely, top notch, he near threw it together and looks like it was engineered.
Get that man on staff lads😂
Love the banter and sarcasm from Ryan!
Hes good👌💪

2JZ: The LS swap of the JDM world.
Only it's a 1JZ...
@@BkSMedia Thanks. Noticed the oops after posted. I will defend my comment by saying the 1JZ is the budget LS3 swap of JDM world!
@@russelljacob7955 but your analogy still doesn't work, the LS3 is the aluminum block 6.2L with rectangular port heads, one of the best factory LSs.

It's evident now that this was an incredible idea 🤯
No it was dumb as fuck
I saw the title (again), and was right! You guys will definitly do it till the event. Great!
My bmw e30 m20 turbo with a boomtube sounded Mad

Got to say that's some savage work done by the lads

Known the car for a while cool to see a engine in it now
Thats some fast engine swap
W vid guys, hope the build goes well for ye👍
i cant wait to see the car when its done and on the track
Wish it still had the boom tubes under it for mufflers too
There is a 2jz toyota camry nascar or stockcar idk, but a car like that but with 2jz that raced in races
should make a zoomy side pipe like a true nascar
Can't wait for the next one
Not gonna lie I didn't see it being that easy to drop in a JZ, I knew there was room but wow that was too easy!
For not knowing who craftsman tools is, not surprising since it’s from the USA, his red tool box looks identical to a craftsman one here in the USA
boom tube to it too please i want to hear a 1jz with boom tube hahahahaha
Short n sweet... 👌😁
This definitely needs Nascar boom pipe exhaust
might want to look at stabilizing the engine and transmission. nascars used to or still do have front and mid motor plates.
Look so heavy 😅 Can't wait to see this nascar drift 🔥
