Dang girl! This is another great video! I’m a new sub and am about to binge. Bambusa Slender weaver is my obsession. Your advice is brilliant. Thanks for the efforts 🙏☺️
Not true, most bamboos come back even after cutting. I do not eat this type of bamboo or anything near it. It grows a little more then I like so I cut and treat it a little bit to keep it smaller.
Love the bamboo videos, please keep them coming. Bamboo plants are super interesting to me. I'm not sure what kind but I got some clumping bamboo from a friend and planted them in my backyard several months ago I now have about 6 healthy plants that are about 5 foot tall. I'm hoping they start growing faster soon. Any tips on helping them grow any faster? Thanks
@@TiaSilvasy I do like your Idea . But as for the tiller ,it is not how big they are , but how hard they are . and of course how big of a tiller you have . But applying herbicide with a paint brush was great , Not everyone has a tractor or a large Troy built tiller . Sorry if I came across as a know it all dumb ass . After I read my comment , I could see It was badly worded and I wasn't trying to be like that at all

I thought once you cut the bamboo, it would no longer grow; why are you using dangerous chemicals especially if you’re going to consider eating?

Bamboo likes water, compost, mulch and fertilizer with N and K. Just give it some love.
@@TiaSilvasynitrogen but ‘what is the K’?
Thanks for this video. Very informative.
Let me know if you try it and it works. You can also use Round up at 50 to 100 percent strength.
Use a tiller. Ditch the herbicide
That’s an idea but sounds backbreaking. Maybe a backhoe. My bamboo is so big I think the tiller would lose.

how old this tall clump is, and is it planted from seeds level or older roots ?
This clump is about 50 ft tall. I purchased it in a 3 gallon pot from Beautiful Bamboo in Groveland, FL.
