What size rims and tires do you have on there and how much of a drop do you have . Rims and tires make the car but stance is everything nice job it looks killer
I one day wish to own one. Unfortunatly the area I live in is nothing but rough roads and bad weather year round and would beat and eat a Datsun alive. Still wish to own one. These cars just turn heads, are a joy to tune, an were just revoultionary back in the day. Man really miss the old school muscle days. It's not like it is today where all your cars are more electronics than actual car.
Wow, I'm an old guy but I love the video. The presentation told a great story and it moved along very nicely. The video editing was close to top notch, and I enjoyed all 5:02 seconds. Oh yeah, and the car was cool too! ;-)
Looks awesome. Whats the offset of those rims? I'm assuming there knock offs? Love the low, dislike the stretch. Over-all a great stance, and nice clean car.
I was curious if they were knock offs. They make copies of ccw's but I have never seen a pair in 4 bolt. I saw the boxes at the start but i wantes to confirm. Would like a set for my 71
Never understood why trance is so popular! Nice ride tho! What if Nissan just went retro and redid these with the technology they have now for a new driveline, suspension, etc. get back to it!
lol, sorry was just trying to be funny but if you really want to know there are lots of places none that i can name off the top off my head but for starters you can always just look up 280z fender flares
Its fine. I'm personally trying to find some for my z31. I found a website called thezstore.com. But I'm trying to find flares for a more reasonable price.
For everyone who ask it's just a change of the coilovers it's Acura coilovers and the flares can be found on black dragon I own one that looks just like this and I'm about to do a 350 supercharge swap so check out my stuff
Nice suspension and great video...I have to wonder if the car can be raced through the turns sitting down on its nuts like that. Looks really aggressive and with those wheels/tires, it may be an eminently predictable and linear handling. I'd just worry about bottoming out too much unless I was lucky enough to live in a place with fabulous road surfaces to drive on.
I agree with Jeremy, love the car, love the rims, and I love the stance, but I hate how all these new kids are doing thise "tire strecthed over rim" thing with wheels that are obviously too wide for the tires. It gives the tire/wheel package a comical look..... But then again I guess 30 years ago when we were jacking up our Camaro's & Firebirds to the sky with Gabriel Air Shocks & Mikey Thompson 50 slicks on the back, the 50's hot-rodders were laughing at us.........
30 years ago all my high school friends fresh out of school started doing the mini-truck craze that would see a 195/50-15 tire stretched over a 15x10 wheel, pretty much looking like the Z in this video. Although a set of 15x10 Enkei or Prime wheels were very affordable compared to a near $3000 set of custom CCWs(although CCWs are some of the sweetest rims out there IMO). Yeah, my older friends liked doing the lifted shackles with air shocks of various types to make a "drag" look on there muscle/pony cars LOL. We're all guilty of some sort of styling "phase" during our youth :-)
a little stretch just looks sexyyyy! too much and excessive camber looks and is stupid. tires worn out on the patch they ride on in weeks probably. stance is cool if done moderately... I think this car gets it close to correct... just my humble opinion
There are just a lot of other cars that work much better for drifting. You would have to do a lot of work to get one of these old things to handle it. Most people would rather jump in an s13 and go to town than have to reinforce the car and all the other fun things that come with building 30+ year old rust buckets. Still, I would love to see more s30s sideways. People with more time and money than me should be doing it.
Love the car, but hate the stretched tire/too low thing.
Beautiful car. Perfectly done. I'd love to know some specs. As in wheel and tire size and suspension you used?
Great video! What are your wheel dimensions/details?
What size of tires are you used?
Que tamaño de llantas estás usando.
Saludos
Hey man where did you buy the front airdam and the fender flares?
Where am I able to find a lip like the one shown in the video on the car?
Beautiful car. Just let us hear the engine next time
As much as I LOVE techno music blasting my ears I'd much rather hear this kitty purr.
Agreed
What's the fitment on the wheels? What's suspension you have on it, and what's the drop? And what front bumper is that? Nice ride!
Beautiful ride man. I've got a '75 280z at home. Where did you get your front air dam/bumper?
were did you buy your flares??
What size rims and tires do you have on there and how much of a drop do you have . Rims and tires make the car but stance is everything nice job it looks killer
What size wheels are those, also how big is the lip? Looks so perfect man.
if you don't mind me asking what wheel and tire size is that? whats your offset?
I one day wish to own one. Unfortunatly the area I live in is nothing but rough roads and bad weather year round and would beat and eat a Datsun alive. Still wish to own one. Wow, I'm an old guy but I love the video. The presentation told a great story and it moved along very nicely. The video editing was close to top notch, and I enjoyed all 5:02 seconds. Oh yeah, and the car was cool too! ;-)
Does anyone know what front air dam that is?
Great video Joey... I like the back ground music. You did a great job on the modification fenders. The one and only 1977 Datsun 280Z sports car.
Can anybody tell me how to lower my 260z? coilovers? i am in Australia. Any info would be great.
What a BEAUTIFUL car!! Very tasteful mods.
Would anyone know the song ?
one of the nicest Z's! good job bro keep it up!!
@victor it has the Megan racing coilovers Mckinney Motorsports adapted from the s13 kit.
where are you in florida..I am building 2 zs also..
Does anyone know where he got his front bumper and the spoiler?
black dragon automotive u can get this parts
Looks awesome. Whats the offset of those rims? I'm assuming there knock offs? Love the low, dislike the stretch. Over-all a great stance, and nice clean car.
ccw's are far from knock-off wheels
I was curious if they were knock offs. They make copies of ccw's but I have never seen a pair in 4 bolt. I saw the boxes at the start but i wantes to confirm. Would like a set for my 71
xxr makes a fairly cheap replica that doesn't look too bad called the 531 I believe that these are around 16x10, xxr's closest size would be the 16x9
Ryan Merrill ESM also makes a nice replica
Would love real ones but I just started a 2jz swap
Never understood why trance is so popular! Nice ride tho! What if Nissan just went retro and redid these with the technology they have now for a new driveline, suspension, etc. get back to it!
Where did you guys get the fender flares?
your god you tell me
Rude.
lol, sorry was just trying to be funny but if you really want to know there are lots of places none that i can name off the top off my head but for starters you can always just look up 280z fender flares

yeah there pretty expensive there
Those wheels just set the car off perfect!
i know this is probably a dumb question but would body panels from a 240z fit on a 280z?
They are a bit smaller so you would need to make some adjustments
Can you post a few part specs on the car. I looks great, props!
nice job, awesome new look!
Sweet Ride....I have 74 260....trick, no expanded wheel wells though....
The shot at 2:56. Beautiful!
Nice work man and sick vid overall!
For everyone who ask it's just a change of the coilovers it's Acura coilovers and the flares can be found on black dragon I own one that looks just like this and I'm about to do a 350 supercharge swap so check out my stuff
do the acura coilovers bolt up? and what year and model ? thanks
***** obviously you have some research to do.
Nice suspension and great video...I have to wonder if the car can be raced through the turns sitting down on its nuts like that. that was my first car a 1977 Datsun 280Z ... i kinda miss it !
Beautiful work. Tires are a smidge small for my tastes though
Nice ride well done
I agree with Jeremy, love the car, love the rims, and I love the stance, but I hate how all these new kids are doing thise "tire strecthed over rim" thing with wheels that are obviously too wide for the tires.

Thanks!
How can this car not have more likes?
Yo man you have a clean ride😎👌
That car is beautiful!
Check out my tenth anniversary 280zx !!
Love the car and rims, need the right tire size though, I don't get the fascination with ill fitting tires.
a little stretch just looks sexyyyy! too much and excessive camber looks and is stupid. tires worn out on the patch they ride on in weeks probably. stance is cool if done moderately... I think this car gets it close to correct... just my humble opinion

I was going to hate about the fenders but it actually looked better at the end so kudos to you. Jealous.

True, well i got my eye on a couple of s30's. So Hopefully by next summer you might see me going sideways in one. Hopefully.
My heart dropped when you cut it
Nice car.
I'd rather hear the car instead of the typical techno inspired song though.
I love it !!! :)
