Eddie! Dope vlog as always! I know you mentioned washer/dryer. I know you’re in Cape Town on this one but also mentioned the Airbnb in Joburg you stayed didn’t have dryer. All 3 of my Airbnbs had dryer lol. When you come back to South Africa, on Airbnb, hit the include dryer for amenities when searching for future Airbnbs. Hope to see ya again soon ❤!
Lol People in Cape Town just look grumpy. I was in Joburg last weekend. There's a huge difference. But if you want to see Friendly, come to Port Elizabeth (The Friendly City)
@@sheldinduplessis1424 😂😂😂after all the gale force winds we got to fight🤭😂😂😂 on a serious note, so sad Capetonians have to be misunderstood like that, it's always safety over socialising in CPT and a history of having to defend ourselves🥴 but also being mindful of visitors especially in the city, one should take that into account and look a little more approachable I'm with you. The perspective of others is understandable, I respect that🙏 totally agree, P.E. have really nice, fun and relaxed people, beautiful energy there👌
Most of the video was in sea point. Hope you got to visit the rest of the waterfront too and not just the mall. Silo District, Canal District, Watershed Market and the Clock Tower are all nice. And on Weekends and Wednesday nights there is a farmer's market Oranjezicht City Farm Market.
Wow Eddie! You did quite a long walk in the heat from Regent Rd, Sea Point all the way to the Waterfront lol, well done. The V&A Waterfront is an equally popular tourist attraction as Table Mountain and Robben Island etc. Also street life is definitely different in Cape Town than Joburg, so locals know not to linger too long in public, just shop what you need to and return safely home, pickpockets can approach you anytime, so never draw attention to yourself with any devices and jewellery, not to alarm you but I've witnessed things get stolen off people in the city, one being my own friend's silver chain ripped off her neck while walking. Added to that Capetonians generally won't disturb you when you're walking about, unless you start a conversation, ask for assistance or they see that you're lost, it's all about respect for another's personal space. Weekdays people in the city are mostly workers too running about in their lunch break to make it back in time to clock in or visitors/tourists also still finding their way in the city too which is going to mainly be the case this time of year, holiday season. The same people walking around there, not interacting, would be the friendliest and most fun to be around on weekends in a social setting. Take this perspective from someone born and raised in this city, I've seen all factors and dynamics of Cape Town, through 3 decades of life.
@nleddie No sweat Eddie, my pleasure 🙏 Watching NYC, Miami and Napa Valley, California vids I see a reflection of Cape Town City, it's surrounding areas and it's winelands like Napa, very similar to these parts of the USA. The hustle and bustle of NYC so much like Cape Town city centre. Just thought I'd elaborate on a few things as many people outside Cape Town will say we're unfriendly and unwelcoming at first glance but there's so much more than what meets the eye. I myself can walk around with a poker face in public lol but am the total opposite when socialising. You would need to stay a little longer to get an accurate conclusion about Cape Town living. Possibly why Jo'burg people will call Cape Town very slow lol just for being on a different page. All good though, hoping the rest of your journey and adventure in Africa goes well and is nothing but a fulfilled one🙏
You need to visit the Canal Walk Shopping Centre Mall in Millerton Cape Town, you think this mall is big than you need to go there ❤🇿🇦 Proudly South African here
I think doing some research or asking for some advice on where to go to have a more holistic trip is important. I hope you can also take a trip to Johannesburg, much more diverse. a part from the most white and colonised areas South Africa has a lot more to offer.
The ☻ said he don't do research. He couldn't even google decent vegeterian/vegan restaurants for variety on his prev video, that's why he eating Nando's veggie burger🤣 if he likes it I love it
